Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Our TV wasn't working properly, so they replaced it at once and gave us tickets for free breakfast! Great service!

The rooms are pretty small and cramped, but it wasn't a huge deal, as we stayed for just one night.

The staff were incredibly helpful and the room was beautiful

A bit far walking from JR with luggage

Efficient staff, location.

Our family rented one of the futon rooms. It was comfortable enough, nice spacious sleeping area. There were also closets that included extra bedding materials and cushions for sitting. The staff were also very kind and helpful. They helped give us directions to the Sunshine city so we could take our kids to the Pokemon Center, the aquarium, and see other things there. Additionally, there was a place to hold luggage post checkout so we could sight see without hauling baggage around. The Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro restaurant was excellent, I highly recommend eating there, the food is delicious.

Most things were fine. One minor thing that was missing was hand soap in the sink area. We have two kids who can be messy, soap would have been nice to help with clean up. Location was also a bit hard to find for us, we ended up asking a taxi to find the way for us. It was pretty close to the station, but a little challenging to navigate the directions.

you can cook

it has a weird smell and people were loud

Near Ikebukoro Station. The room and facility is clean and feel safe. Offers free breakfast. Staff is friendly and respectful.

The hotel is just a few meters away from train stations. There are nearby convinience store and restaurants. I can say that the neighborhood is fairly safe. My stay includes basic breakfast, toast and coffee. Staff are very friendly and respectful

The light in my rooms keeps on flickering

I like this hotel’s location. It’s easy to access the hotel from Ikebukuro Station. I also like the staff’s kindness and flexibility to kindly assign me to the lower bed on my request. It’s very fortunate that I stayed at the first floor as I didn’t need to use the elevator to go back to my room. When I checked in, the staff also told me about the lounge on 7th floor and that I could spend my time there.

When I took a shower, the water didn’t turn to hot water soon. I had to wait for a few minutes. In addition, the water pressure was a little weak.

All facilities veery clean. Super friendly and helpfull staff throughout. Meant mostly for the young student type but cool for everyone. Cafe food is actually very good too!

AC/Heat thermostat not very friendly. Laundry facilities too small and dryer’s not hot enough.

The location is good. the restaurant above it has good and cheap food. I liked the japanese curry, the pizza and the burger.

the laundry is also on the outside of the hotel so I was afraid my clothes would get stolen.

Very clean, staff is super kind, good location.

Room is very very small, super difficult to keep order in the place

Great and helpful staff. They helped us to forward our luggage to Narita airport. Very clean and great location, walking to the station took less than 10 minutes

Kind of old structure, particularly the bathroom, but overall great.

The staffs are very approachable. They speak in english. Very friendly. Near the stations. 1 ride away to shibuya. Will consider this again on my next visit in Japan.

They do not have a microwave oven for reheating our konbini and take away foods ?

Great location to the station, lots of food near by, everyone understood English, clean room and building, cheap

The free breakfast was just toast and coffee in the Cafe. They are not able to give you early check in, get the day before you arrive if you land in the Ams.

Location is good, easy access to metro, friendly staff

Room smells like smoke at first night but okay

The staff was really helpful

The noisy guests next door, they did not respect the quite time hours and it was frustrating.

Place and the big space are amazing ! Special mention ton the restaurant staff who are adorable with foreigner !

Central location, good value

Not overly clean

Great location in Ikebukuro so you’re in a good spot for getting anywhere else in Tokyo. The front desk staff were wonderful and attentive, they even asked us to share our own culture’s recipes. The rooms were small but that’s typical of city hotels, but they had great amenities. Nice light breakfast. For those complaining about the breakfast in their review - you need to read the description ahead of time. It’s a good start to the day to have a cup of coffee, slice of toast, and soup on their patio area.
