Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro

Staff are very nice, room was a good size for the price I paid and the big plus is that it had a microwave and a refrigerator larger than most that had its own separate freezer door. There was also a combo washer dryer too!

Loved the room, even though in comparison to US hotels, they are a small but has everything and more. They even provided bathrobes, sleepers, shoe shine, washing machine. The offered a much better quality shampoo, body soap than any of the more expansive hotels in the US. Loved that place.

The room (maybe all the rooms?) had a microwave, a decent size fridge, and a washing machine/dryer! (It's for a small load, but it was nice to be able to do laundry in my room.)

It was a little hard to find. (Not on a big street.)

Recently renovated, clean spaces and functional

Each room has washer and dryer and this is the main reason I choose this hotel . Very close to the metro station C1b exit … the staffs are friendly ! I have all I need in the room .. thumb up ! Will come back again !

Not much choices on breakfast selection .

The rooms are small, but it's what you expect when you're going to Tokyo. Otherwise, everything was clean, tidy, and had everything you could need. Staff is super attentive and helpful.It's also right next to Ikebukuro station, which was convenient for travelling almost anywhere in Tokyo. Also, Sunshine City Mall is close by too!

Size is always something you'll navigate with Tokyo hotels.

Very affordable rate with an even nicer room than two significantly more expensive hotels I booked earlier in my trip. The room came with an in-room laundry machine, microwave, kettle, fridge, dishware, table, and a comfortable bed with outlets in the headboard. Easy walk to Ikebukuro Station, and very helpful English-friendly staff that kindly held my bags for 7 hours after check-out and summoned a taxi for me to Haneda Airport.

We loved how big the room was for Tokyo, simple and clean. We also enjoyed being able to make our own rice in the morning and the coffee anytime. My son loved the kids' amenity kit; it made him feel so special.

The air conditioner/heater is right above the bed, so it was a little difficult to sleep because it has quite a bright light on it.

We stayed in a residential double room for one night. The room is compact but thoughtfully put together with everything we needed including a fridge and a microwave. We shuffled some of the furniture to make space for our baby's travel cot. The window had full blockout blinds. The room and hotel is modern and very clean. The area was a few blocks back from main roads so was nice and quiet. The air con could be controlled to the temperature we wanted. We got the included breakfast which had a good range of soups, curries, rice, a few pastries, some cereal. The foyer has some sofas and small tables for you to sit at if you're waiting, along with a vending machine. Overall one of the best places we stayed in out of our whole trip in Japan.

It's about a 10min walk from the train station, which is manageable. The foyer area has all of the breakfast items but you need to collect these and take them back up to your room to heat up and eat at your dining table, rather than having tables in the foyer. But that's the nature of space in Tokyo.

Great location for a couple. Maybe not the best neighborhood for a family. Easy access to subway. The bed is also extremely comfortable.

Small complaint, but the coffee is not up to par. Maybe provide instant coffee and hot water instead?

Very clean and the room has nice amenities such as a washer/dryer with laundry soap, a small microwave and combo refrigerator /freezer (2 separate doors). Also comes with dish-ware too! The TV also lets you watch Netflix once you sign in with your Netflix account. The staff are very nice and helpful. There is free coffee and water in the lobby and they were giving free water containers when we were there. Great idea to use reusable containers !

A wide variety of frozen breakfast and soup was amazing(washing machine, microwave, quite a big size of fridge and elektrik kettle in each room). Staff was kind. Great location. 2 minutes from Ikebukuro C1b exit , that means you don’t get wet from huge Ikebukuro station even raining.

Room was small barely enough for 2 persons.

Its not my fist time here but first dissapointment - no bag for change towels, and on hotel robe was someone else's big piece of false eyelashes. also at night was very noisy sounds - like someone was throwing something on the floor and moving furniture, I couldn't sleep two days :(also very inconvenient that the water in the bathtub flows according to a timer and you have to constantly adjust it.

Staff were easy to work with and very accommodating. The hotel location is quite close to the train station, and is in close proximity to a Don Quijote. Would certainly stay here again if I wanted to be near Ikebukuro.

Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but the surrounding environment has quite a few touts which are relatively easy to ignore or deal with. I would recommend looking at Tabelog for food reviews rather than Google reviews in this area as there are some businesses looking to prey on tourists. Again, the hotel itself was perfectly fine.

The location is nice. The bed is comfy. The staff is friendly. The washing machine in the room is easy to use. Detergent is provided in the room.

There was a bit of cigarettes smell in the room. But air refresher was provided so it was not a very big deal. But could be better.

Nice place with easy access to subway. Lots around and good location. Rooms good with washer dryer. View was a cement wall.
