The rooms were spacious and clean.

It is advertised with a designated smoking area, but there actually is none available.

I have stayed here 3 times in the past 3 yrs. I love the location due to the proximity with Starbucks Reserve Roastery. The service is cold but I think the property takes feedback. Its functional and I felt they had improved based on prior feedback. The window had double doors now to keep out the street noise and the blankets which used to be too warm have been replaced with lighter quilts. Very comfortable now.

The onsen timing for women is not good. Ends at 8pm. I think its more likely that we will go to the onsen after 8pm. Also dont like that its a shared space with men.

    Everything was good

    10JavierPosted on: 12-4-2025

The location is amazing, I love the neighbourhood that the hotel is in. It’s very close to so many beautiful shops and restaurants. It is well situated in Tokyo in general. I love the onsen as well.

Overall, everything was great, I would make one small suggestion that they use a stronger detergent or change detergent to wash the pyjamas that are offered. They are great but could smell a little better.

We loved this quiet location along the canal. We walked the waterway every day and thought it was beautiful. It felt like we were in a hidden hip locals neighborhood with great access to restaurants, bars and boutique shops. Right across from Starbucks Reserve which conveniently opened at 7am when most Tokyo establishments don't open until 8-9-10am. About an 8-10 minute walk to the nearest rail line. A little further than you need to be, but the canal walk made it worth the walk. After doing ~20,000 steps each day, the hot spring at the hotel was quite nice and the sauna very hot. Its true women can only go between 3-8pm but it was perfect for me (female) after a long day walking, before heading back out for dinner, and my partner (male) used it in the early mornings. The rentable phone chargers and scooters right at the hotel entrance were also super convenient. The room itself was spacious and decent enough.

The pillows weren't great (bed was good/firm), and the shower was mainly handheld (but good water temp and pressure). We didn't utilize the breakfast at all because it was just dry goods/yogurts/cereal.

Good free breakfast and evening snack. The room was nicely decorated and the hotel was quiet.

The hotel has got very expensive recently and while the stay was very nice, it was hard to justify the expense.

great neighborhood and short walk to subway station. nice onsen, free snacks, nice king size bed.

could not get a comfortable pillow. coffee was not good

Staff were friendly. The hot spring and free manga to read were lovely :)

The room was spacious and well equipped. Double doors. A separate additional sink in the room good for tea/coffee cooking and makeup.

I stayed in thus hotel 6 years ago (6 or 7th floor) and everything was fine. Unfortunately, this time munises were more than pluses. My room was 212, in the corner, facing the road crossing. The windows were small and not clear, not transparent, so you couldn't open it and look outside. But the worst is that the room probably was adjacent to a technical zone, so all night you could hear various technical sounds, like the slamming of doors, the screech of metal beams, and something that is hard to explain. I asked the receptionist on duty (evening Sept29, a guy) to change the room, but after long negotiations with someone I was refused. That was frustrating. He suggested me (using thd smartphone translator) to go to bed and, if I can hear anything, call to the reception. How do you like it? You get ready for sleeping, get undressed, go to sleep, cannot sleep, and then call the reception to explain that you can't sleep to a boy who hardly speaks English. Unconceivable. So, I can't recommend this hotel.

Very terrible we tried to make the hotel understand our unhappiness with the accommodations and they were very firm in charging us fees and the night we did not stay.

    9VictoriaPosted on: 6-19-2025

Location, ramen, ice cream, quick and simple breakfast

Onsen hours for woman not varied enough, additional time in the morning time would be preferred.

    9HongchengPosted on: 4-26-2025

Its location is fabulous; just next to the Meguro river. Best place to see cherry blossoms in April.Starbucks building is also next building across street so if you are a Starbucks fun you will be very happy for this.

Breakfast is very simple but good enough to get full.

Great neighbourhood right across from Starbucks Coffee Roasters. Large room by Japanese standards. Lovely public bath with hot and cold pools and sauna

    3AsaPosted on: 4-18-2025

the rooms were small but large enough for my solo trip. if there was more storage racks or places to stow luggage in the room i think it would seriously improve the experience. the public bath was a wonderful amenity. without the bath i would feel like the price was too high for the value you receive. with the bath it added value to my overall stay.

hands down the staff were rude and uptight. i have never experienced a hotel stay where the staff treats you like you are unwelcome in their 'home' if that makes sense. when i stay in a hotel i expect to be left alone but the staff at dormy are in your face. upon arrival i was treated like i did not belong there and i felt like were trying to be accommodating to me but it felt cold and not welcoming. out of maybe 8 staff i interacted with - maybe 1 or 2 were kind and courteous to me from a customer service aspect. everyone else was cold and basically mean. i understand the language barrier (my english and japanese) is responsible for most of the awkwardness but the bad customer service i received does not involve language. they could seriously improve on being friendly towards non native hotel guests.
