    Pros +

    • I really like the size of the room which is great for 2 people and the location which is 1 minute from the nearest train staion.
    • The cleanliness of the room, the bathroom was very nice, the staff was helpful when I wanted to be directed somewhere good for food & entertainment, and I loved how nicely laid out there were slippers/pajamas, and more :) it was a great stay!
    • The staff are wonderful! Always helpful, always professional, and always friendly and welcoming. The b's breakfast is a great way to start the day. Especially their automatic pancake maker! The b is located between three train stations. It's easy to get anywhere in Japan from the b!

    Cons -

    • // all was good
    • Bathroom could have had better ventilation. After showing, the whole room got really warm and steamy for awhile. Also the lack of a smart tv was a bummer. Was really enjoying casting and using streaming services at some of our other hotels but that we couldn't access here.
    • No closet and no drawers to unpack a few things. Not unusual for Tokyo, though.

The warmth. The b is so comfortable and welcoming. Staff takes very good care of us every time. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The food selection is great and delicious. Stations are a short walk away. The b is the only place we stay at in Tokyo.

Location and facilities were excellent. Breakfast buffet was simple by Japan standards but perfectly reasonable by US standards. Staff were very accommodating and luggage storage process was simple.

Nice common area for breakfast or just sitting, good breakfast, excellent access to subways and JR East, good variety of restaurants nearby.

No closet and no drawers to unpack a few things. Not unusual for Tokyo, though.

Very clean! Kind and helpful staff. The room was super small but efficient - perfect for a solo traveler spending as little time in the hotel as possible. Microwave and morning coffee were appreciated! Location was very good in terms of being central to transport but wasn’t a destination in itself. Served all my needs for a reasonably priced, safe, solo spot.

The stuff is very helpful, the room is very clean with a nice size bathroom. What I loved most is the possibility to have fresh coffee any time and for free. The location is very good with many different train/underground stations. There are lots of nice restaurants in the area; it goes quite at the weekend but some restaurants close.

Breakfast is limited and very repetitive, most of all I missed fresh fruit.

The reception staff were friendly and professional. Check-in/out was done at the reception counter. We were allowed to store our luggage after check-out and collect it on the same day.Our room was clean/tidy and well-presented when we arrived. We stayed in a non-smoking room and could not smell any smoke in the corridors or lift during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room size was small (expected) and cosy. There was enough space for two people to move around and have two large suitcases open. The hotel is located a 2 min walk from Ogawamachi Station and Shin-Ochanomizu Station. The neighbourhood felt safe and it was quiet at night (no traffic or party sounds could be heard).

We stayed at this hotel at the start of our Japan trip, so we booked 2 nights at the end before flying home. Wonderful hotel, great facilities, clean, comfortable and good location. Will stay here again in the future!

    7AndreaPosted on: 4-3-2025

The property is very close to multiple train lines so it was very easy to get places. The rooms were clean and we were provided with plenty of toiletries free of charge to use. The size of the rooms is a bit compact, but it is to be expected in Japan. House keeping provided fresh towels everyday and full clean twice during our stay. However there’s only one washing machine, the standard cycle is 2 hours and the drying function only steams the clothes, not actually dries so I would recommend going to a laundromat close by if you have a lot of washing to do. Otherwise it was a very comfortable stay. Would stay here again.

We had booked into a superior king room at the B Ochanomizu for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. Our stay fell during a warm week late in March (temperatures of 15 to 26°C). The check-in process was smooth and the reception staff were helpful. We were allocated Room 505. On entering the room, we were confronted with an unpleasant odour of sweat / damp. It was also quite warm. We adjusted the room thermostat to a lower temperature and stronger air movement — to no avail. We sprayed the room with the air deodoriser provided in the room, and left for dinner to give the A/C time to kick in. On returning, the room remained the same — warm and unpleasant-smelling. We went down to the reception desk to ask about the A/C, and were told that A/C was centrally controlled and was currently still set to "heating" as temperatures were forecasted to drop 3-4 days from then. They suggested we open the windows for ventilation, despite the hotel being advertised to have A/C. On doing as suggested, the room filled with smells of frying oil from nearby restaurants.Following extensive discussion with the hotel staff, we were provided another room (twin room) for one night and we left the following day. We requested to be refunded for the remainder of our stay. The refund process was lengthy due to some technical difficulties with our international card, although the staff were very apologetic.Overall, the hotel location is good and the staff are lovely, but the room condition fell short of our expectations.*We note a couple of other reviews also highlighting similar issues, including one with the very same room.**Also posted on Google reviews**

Quiet location one street from the station elevator entrance. Our Station was two stops from Tokyo and 6-7 to Shinjuku stations. Plenty of inexpensive breakfast options around even at 7am. Found a great dinner restaurant about 100m away called Tsujita Ramen. It was excellent. The staff were helpful and the washer dryer was new and very easy to operate. The room was small but functional. The bed was a bit firm for me but tolerable.

Upon entry to room it smelled like musty, mouldy carpet.

Location was near the station. Staff was helpful and friendly. There was coffee and snacks provided at the lobby.

There was no water provided in the room

The location was very good for the purpose of our trip (sightseeing) with excellent access to public transport and shops. The staff were very friendly and attentive. High standard of room cleaning each day. Access to amenities if needed (toiletries). Good value for money.

The breakfast was a bit basic and the room was smaller than expected.

    9HsuhhPosted on: 2-13-2025

the hotel is located near the station, and with Family Mart and some restaurants around.Staffs are friendly.

The room may be to tiny too fully open the suitcase.

It was as described. Easy to find, well positioned for first time visitors using public transport. It was lovely and clean and had facilities that I really liked such as a coffee machine in the lobby and selection of teas to use there or take to your room. Also a kettle and mini fridge in the room. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is a seating area in the lobby where you can have a coffee or tea and plan your day etc, this is used for breakfast service ( we didn’t have breakfast but noticed several people were). There were some snacks offered in the afternoon/ evening which I thought was a lovely touch! We made use of the coin operated washer-dryer which was located on the same level as our room.

As others have commented the room was small in size, our bed was up against one wall but it wasn’t a problem really.

The staff at the b were wonderful. Friendly, accommodating, and professional. Always there with a smile and an offer to help, they really made us feel at home.Their breakfast was a great way to start the day. My compliments to the chef! We were definitely well taken care of. We always stay at the b whenever we're in Japan.

Can't think of anything we didn't like. Facilities were clean and well maintained, staff was excellent, food (breakfast, treats, and coffee) was top-notch.

    10CharlesPosted on: 12-20-2024

Rooms are small but comfortable. Staff is kind and helpful. You can use the microwave for your food and eat in shared food court. Hotel is silent and peaceful. Metro station is really close. Thanks for everything ?
