Aurico Kata Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus

Location in a quiet place not that far from the beach but enough from overcrowded and noisy streets. Beautiful reception area, good quality and choice breakfast, big and cozy bed.

At first we had a room with looots of mosquitoes in it. It seemed like they really lived there because we couldn¿t get rid of them all. Thanks for the staff, we could change the room and spent the night without any mosquito.

Great location, less than 10 minute walk from the beach. Grounds and rooms were absolutely stunning and very clean. Staff was friendly and very helpfulFood was great

Visiting Thailand is always amazing! Food at the hotel was really good ?

Hotel is to old, totally not matching the pictures. Room was smell wet and bugs. I guess is termites, but not sure, after I request Deap cleaning was better for a few days, but after again. Totally disappointed ? pool fountain non functioning as well...

Beautiful, spacious room, great bed,, good breakfast, very friendly staff, location is also nice.

everything was great

- The hotel generally presents its self well. Its a nice structure with nice decor. - The rooms are spacious and have a large balcony. - The hotel is not located on the beach, its about a 10min walk however the street is cute with some nice SPAs, restaurants and shops.

- Staff are not rude but it does feel like they are making an effort in being nice.- I think the hotel generally focuses on tour operators and large groups. It does not feel very cosy. - Room bathrooms have almost no amenities. I struggled to find soap. - The hotel staff are obssessed with the beach towels. They will check where they are every day. The towels are even in not great condition. - Breakfast is very poor. Food quality tastes cheap. Thailand is a paradise of fruit and they serve basically only bananas and sliced watermelon. - First time I've been to a hotel where they ask for a deposit for the 2nd room key.

Pool access room, close to restaurants and shops

Great location in Kata, about 20mins walk to Kata beach and under 10 mins from Kata night market. About 30 min car ride to other areas such as Chalong or Old Phuket Town, depending on traffic. It's an easy walk to Karon and there's plenty of opportunities to stop for drinks along the way.The resort was very nice in general. The pool access room was fantastic, we were in a quieter part of the hotel and never heard other patrons who were using the pool closer to the bar area. The room was spacious, comfortable and cleaned everyday.The staff were very attentive and helpful. Housekeeping and reception staff were quick to action requests.Beach towels were available and we could take them on day trips or request replacements when needed.The restaurant is very spacious and well staffed. Happy hour at the beach bar was a nice touch, the beach bar area was well maintained and relaxing.Though the hotel appeared to be full, if you were in the main pool area it never felt overcrowded as there was plenty of space for everyone.Internet connection was very good.We would stay again due to location, the quality of the room and great service.

The gym - Small with too much equipment and poor ventilation. Not enough room to work out comfortably if more than 2 people are in there.Breakfast options can be improved, it was ok but for a 4 star hotel not up to expectations. Coffee wasn't the best. There was no milk option for those who are lactose intolerant. Would be great to see more local food options.The beach towels looked old and a bit tattered. I think the hotel should replace old beach towels as it cheapens their brand.The shower could do with deep clean, specifically the bathroom floor.

1. The price and quality of the room service menu do not match. A salad for 280 baht (870 rubles) tuna from a CAN, not fresh, TWO cherry tomatoes, one chicken egg and olive oil dressing?! And a bunch of cheap greens, carrots and onions?2. The second salad just has chicken ham instead of chicken fried meat and the big word cheese in the menu: there were two thin pieces of cheese on the side of the plate and AGAIN a bunch of tasteless CHEAP greens?! For 300 baht?3. Why is there no trash can in the toilet? You have to go to the room to throw everything out.4. Why are there no napkins in the toilet?5. Why is there no glass or soap dish on the bathroom sink?6. Where is the body lotion, razor, hair conditioner?7. Why was the Russian service order brought in parts?!8. Why is there no ice cream on a saucer? It melted and stained everything around, there was nowhere to put it - no tray, no table9. Why did they bring cappuccino to the room in a glass to go, and not in a cup?!10. Why are there chairs with IRON backs on the balcony that is on the SUNNY side?! How do you sit on them?! All hotels have sofas, everything is beautiful. Don't you have two solid chairs?!11. Why do you have to give a deposit of 300 baht for a second key when TWO PEOPLE are staying in the room? Didn’t we overpaid per day for they stay at the hotel?12. NON-SMOKING room - ok! NON-SMOKING BALCONY?! Are you laughing at guests?! And this condition is not written anywhere, neither on booking.com, nor on the website!13. Room service came for dishes 40 minutes after the call.14. Long black hair in pasta food at breakfast :(((!!!15. At breakfast, the cups for tea and coffee ran out, I asked to bring them - Mr Waiter told me, "we finish breakfast in 2 minutes"!!! WtY?! You should always have cups for coffee/tea! Couldn’t you bring me a cup when a guest asks for it?! Really?! 2 minutes before the end of breakfast?! Really?! Is this hospitality?!

The pool was stunning, I had a room that connected to the pool and absolutely loved it. I also loved the swim up bar, happy hour was fantastic. The staff were so lovely and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of options to share.

My only complaint would be the cost of laundry service, and the bed felt like two singles pushed together when we had booked a queen.

Good sized room, quiet location, but easy to go to restaurants, bars, even beach. Good breakfast

The cleaning team should be more careful - they broke my toothbrush case (it was in the bathroom) and didn’t even bother to say anything. Plus, the bathroom needed more tlc (the glass shower was not cleaned either before check in, nor during our stay - you could not see through from the stains)

Beautiful design, nice staff, clean, big room, beautiful pool, very good service there is also rental scooter service on site and the guy who rents them is super good and available.

Maybe breakfast can be improved a bit, quality was quite average. But honestly nothing to major complain about.

Location was great room was fantastic.

Breakfast choice was very poor. At breakfast we were let in even though it was full to capacity, we had to hang around till a table became available.

Awesome staff, helpful and smiling. The rooms are super clean, the breakfast delicious. We enjoyed the pool and the little fitness room. Location is great, between Karon and Kara and near the Night market. Would 100% book at Aurico again

The hotel is well appointed and in a great location, set back from the busyness of the main road but with plenty of restaurants and massage places nearby. The staff were lovely, and the pool access rooms were a great treat! The included breakfast had a lot of variety.

The property is looking a little worn, a little maintenance and some fresh towels etc would make the experience more luxe. Adding wine to the bar menu would also be a bonus!

This was a really clean nice hotel in kata ! Nice breakfast and clean rooms. It’s about a 15 min walk to the beach! Bolts are really easy to order.

Great location close to lots of food and shopping. Pool is great-good temperature. The restaurant and the break was very good too.
