On The Hill Karon Resort

Staff and restaurant on site were very good with kids. Restaurant has a kids menu and high chairs. Happy to provide extra plates, etc. for splitting food between kids. Thoughtful to put us in two side by side rooms for our family even though online we unknowingly booked rooms away from each other. Booked taxi and sung tao for us if wanted. Left extra towels and waters so we had one for each person even though two were free (6 bottles of water and towels daily with no extra charge).

I forgot that we would be so in the middle of nature and that the bugs and lizards would be upon us. ?? Everywhere outside. It was fine just didn't think about it ahead of time.

Location and proximity to the beach is beautiful

Could spruce up the furniture a bit and given the location can make it a little more up market . Change the locks , the chairs , have a bigger shower head

Great location, lovely helpful staff. Very nice restaurant too, we didn’t eat anywhere else during our stay.

This is a dream place for a beach holiday. The restaurant area has a fabulous view over the beach and sea, as did our room (though not all rooms have this). The steps from the hotel lead down onto a quiet end of Karon beach with soft sand and warm water. There is a restaurant/bar there and many more if you walk along the beach

The restaurant closes very early in the evening and we found this inconvenient. There is a big ugly pipe on the beach leading into the sea though we did not notice any pollution in the water and maybe it is just a land-drain for rain-water.

The property itself was so beautiful and had a lot of plants. The sea is right under and you walk maybe 2minutes down the stairs to the sea. Beautiful restaurant. The pool area is small and comfortable and peaceful!

The bathroom is a little outdated but it really wasn’t a problem, everything works. Some ants inside but that didn’t really bother, the room was cleaned every day.

Staff was friendly and amazing. They arranged our taxi for the airport. The restaurant staff was great. We always had fresh bottled water. Room was clean. Views were amazing!!!! Air worked great. Oh the snorkeling was great right off of the beach too.

Oh my gosh soooo many steps! You could hear everything when in your room neighbors talking, doors shutting.

Very good quiet location. View from the balcony is amazing. Restaurant is also good. Personnel is very kind and helpful.Thank you for a good vacation

The room wasn’t that clean when I checked in, lots of dust behind the dresser and bed. They should clean better.

Loved the views. Loved the restaurant for breakfast. The staff were fantastic.

The facilities in the room were poor. The room needed upgrading. The bathroom had 2 sheets covering the walls. Everything was rusty and musty.

Good sized room and en-suite with balcony with fantastic view over Karon beach. Friendly, helpful staff, swimming pool, good access to beach from our room.

A little dated in decor and fittings an awful lot of steps to get up to the reception and restaurant, buggy service only went so far down the resort.

We stayed here five nights and it was fabulous. We were about two-thirds of the way down the hill and had an amazing view of the beach from our balcony. There was direct access from the site to the beach, which is at the quiet end of the bay, with great views of the sunset. Access to the town involves walking along the beach unless you have your own transport (or use a taxi), as the road leading to the site is busy with no pavement. Luckily, there is a fabulous on-site restaurant, at the top of the hill (with amazing views), open from 7.30am to 7.30pm serving breakfast all day and a varied menu of reasonably priced Thai and other dishes. We hired a scooter in town for three days and there was adequate parking close to our room. All the staff were lovely. When we arrived, us and our bags were taken down to our room on a golf cart. Even though we were leaving at 4.30am, they insisted on taking us and our bags back up to the top to catch our taxi.

We liked everything about this place and had a wonderful stay. We would just say, don't stay here if you're not good with steps.

Brilliant hotel in Karon - probably one of the best on the whole of Phuket. We had a wonderful room with a sea view, it was majestic to sit on the balcony, surrounded by the jungle sounds, and see the whole beach and the sea. The property was extremely clean, cleaned and towels changed daily, also free water brought every morning. The staff was extremely helpful and supported us with every problem we had (lost airline luggage, medication needed etc). The breakfast in the restaurant was also great, at an affordable rate, the staff also cut the fruit we bought outside for us. Beach was surprisingly close, but you have to take quite steep stairs to get there. It is a quiet corner of the beach which was great. Next time we are on Phuket we will definitely come back here.There is also a swimming pool available and nice terraces if you wanna go yoga/stretching.

Not a problem for us, but the property is a bit far from Karon town with no public transport - but easily solved by taxis. Or just a 15-20 min walk along the beach.

Wonderful staff. Lovely lady, very helpful and friendly. You can go down the steps onto the corner of the beach, which was quite quiet with a bar/ restaurant there.

Rooms are all over the place. Up steps, down steps, round the corner, down more steps etc! Can't walk into town. 200 baht each way. Basic rooms.

Very steep hill to beach 100ft elevation with lots of steps. Very dated rooms. Small pool with only 5 loungers. No mini mart for essentials . Sometimes difficult to get taxi into town, not advisable to walk.

Not good for older people far to many steps, and at times no handrail, steps to restaurant, steps to pool, lots of steps to beach if we had been there more than a few days we would have been isolated, and very busy main road past site. Lovely for fitter people would not recommend for people with walking difficulties or older

The view from our room was insane, there was a lot of space in the room and it has a direct way to the beach.

Not modern, little too old rooms.
