DARA Hotel

The room was large, air conditioning was excellent and the staff were super helpful and kind. The swimming pool was great for my morning laps as it was empty most of the five days I stayed.

It's located really close to a big mall where you can go shopping, watch a movie or visit an indoor playground for with your kid(s).

Air conditioner in our room didn't work properly - the temperature in our room stayed at 29-30 even when the air con was set to 16. The technician didn't really fix the problem - they measured the temperature inside the ait con and told us that it was already cold. The solution provided by the hotel was a portable air conditioner - a huge thing they've brought to our room. It made a lot of noice and didn't actually make the room colder, because they didn't bring the pipe for this thing to actually work as an air con - it was just a huge fan. They were also suggesting to close the drapes and wait for the room to cool down, but the drapes were actually closed the whole day, so it definitely wasn't the issue.We later lived in a different room in the same hotel. There a string/rope to dry your closes didn't work. The technician cam, couldn't pull out that rope either and just told us "well, nothing to do here, I can't fix it". It took complaining to the manager for the people there to find a solution for us - bring a portable drying rack. Not sure why staff themselves couldn't do it.For both of the problems it never they never tried suggesting a different room where those problems didn't exist.

They serve different food variety everyday. Location wise its just opposite to central phuket mall and grab in phuket is inexpensive so you will not spend a lot on transportation wise as its on the city center. Housekeeping and reception staff are very helpful and extremely nice.

My stay started off fine—quiet, clean, and overall decent. I appreciated the birthday decorations in my room, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel itself is in a good location and I initially felt comfortable.

Unfortunately, my experience changed due to an extremely rude and unprofessional encounter with a staff member/manager. After denying a simple request, she repeatedly called my room, had people banging on my door, and continued to escalate the situation in a way that made me feel harassed and unsafe. This disruption made me very uncomfortable and affected my stay.

The breakfast was elaborate. The rooms are with lots of wood and so is the interior of the public areas of the hotel. There is a very helpful kiosk to book tours and excursions. The pool is great but with little sun (for some good, for others not).

Mmmmh: the breakfast at nearly 12 dollar for adults and 7 dollars for children is a bit more expensive than in other places (or am I biased by the prices of middle of the road hotels?) Take note that the airport is about 30km from the hotel and especially if you must travel at rush hour you better take an hour for it.

The only positive thing about the hotel was the hotel staff.

The location and quality of the hotel do not match the price of the hotel. This hotel should not be so expensive. You have to walk a long way to get to the shops or shopping mall. You can find better hotels near shopping malls or on the beach for this price.

The staff was nice, but that was about it.

I’ll tell you all about it in these points:1. Extremely dirty. Disappointed in really how bad the cleaning was. When first entering the room, the bathroom was covered in grease. It was obvious they hadn’t cleaned it in a while. I was once in the room while they came in to “clean”… they just got a quick mop on the floor, changed the towels AND THAT’S IT. 2. The shower was clogged. 3. The room smelled SO bad. Like humidity. Also, the bathroom was covered in mold. 4. The floor was dirty. Literally just by walking first on my socks they got immediately black. 5. The lobby had SUCH A BAD SMELL. Stayed for 5 nights and the odor just didn’t went by. 6. I GOT FOOD POISONED WITH THEIR ROOM SERVICE FOOD. Got a cold chicken sandwich that I’m sure had been sitting for more than an hour without refrigeration. Had raw onion that got me sick for an entire day. When telling the staff, they just smiled and said “I’m sorry”. 7. This was a hotel that, maybe, once launched, could have been cool. It’s not. It’s not modern. 8. THE PICTURES ARE JUST A NICE LIE. The hotel in general is a complete disappointment.

Honestly i liked everything about this property! They staff are polite and respectful! The place is super clean and safe.

The bed and sheets were uncomfortable. Also there was something in the sheets and towel or the scent in the room that were causing some of us to have allergic reactions

The staff were not helpful, I had to transfer my bags by myself, and they were not friendly

Not all staff in the reception are professional except few of them. We received one room with no electricity and after one hour only they accept to change it. One of our two room was with bad smell.

Bad experience

Not cleaning enough we found ? under the bed, the breakfast doesn't enough for us, we have came at 9 AM, and the food is finished!! , the stuffs in the reception has no ethics and they don't help ever!! Bad experience Don't book this & run away!!!

Just a nice pool , but hardly any service at the pool. Had to walk out to restaurant to order food.

It’s not what is advertised, the photos have been touched real much . And looks nothing like the pictures . Felt like a school dorm . The food options , I won’t even mention . Please look at the picture attached to look at the hallways .
