Ratana Hotel Chalong

Amazing people. Great location walking distance or short ride to other locations. Gym and sauna are great with a nice view enough equipment to get a great workout in sauna and then hit the pool. No room service or the massages but thats okay!

WiFi was very poor in my room. Location not great, kind of in the middle of nowhere.

pool was closed for almost all of our stay which we didn’t know beforehand, the pool was one of the main reasons we booked. fitness suite was also not great but there is a well equipped gym downstairs you can use for only 100 baht

Location was more or less perfect for accessing Chalong pier where I was spending most of the day, staff were friendly and helpful, room was spacious, had good facilities and had a good view. Convenience and other shops were nearby.

Wireless network infected my computer with a virus.

Virus infection from wireless network. They did call an engineer, but it took hours to get my computer back. Still worried something may have evaded my virus tools.

The is was really comfortable with a large bed and desk space for working, modern bathroom, kitchen area and balcony! The pool area is really great, the pool is beautiful and there are sun chairs for relaxing. Five min walk on the way to the pier there is a street with great restaurants and bars and a 7/11. The best restaurant is called Bite! It has amazing Asian and western food including smoothie bowls and vegan options and it has an associated gallery that promotes education about sharks and sells art to contribute to a shark conservation fund.

There were no Matts in the gym for basic stretches or functional exercises and the staff were not the friendliest! If I didn’t greet them first in the mornings they would not greet me…

Comfortable room and bed. Fantastic stay.

There's no coffee in the room. Should posses own transport or else you will be lost.

the room is big, cleaning service everyday, have small pool,gym and sauna…in front of the hotel there is a proper gym. the reception are all nice.

bed a bit hard but the bed is so big that you can fit 3 people.

I enjoyed my stay here and extended a fair few times.the hotel gym is poor but the gym under the hotel is only 100 baht and is much better.room was cleaned every day and fresh water provided pool was good and great to sunbathe and relax good value for money, wifi sometimes cut off but was able to work remotely for my job

Location. The pier is nearby, which is great as there are many restaurants there, but it’s located on a busy road and the beaches where you can actually swim (nearest is Rawai Beach) are not nearby. There’s nothing wrong with the neighbourhood, you will definitely feel very comfortable and safe, just not so much to do nearby, except for the pier.

reception staff are friendly and generally helpful

it’s dated and not very well kept. There were many broken or poorly maintained aspects including sun beds and the pool lights, the gym equipment was all broken and the standards of cleaning in the rooms was well below what I’ve come to expect from Thailand.also the internet is VERY poor
