Chalong Chalet Resort

The views were great, idyllic and serene atmosphere that made an extremely relaxing stay. Aircon in the hotel rooms were great to beat the heat outdoors. The location was especially fantastic for a tonne of touristy things - tiger park, lion land, elepant trekking, chalong bay, dolphin shows etc!

One of the pool was closed, which was fine as there was another alternative as well. Duty to low capacity the usual breakfast buffet was not available, so we chose off a set menu which was rather disappointing and boring.

The landscape was amazing, rooms were confortable, clean and spacious.

Lots of insects, but we expected that in the jungle.

Our room was incredible! Amazing view and bath on balcony. We were on the end of the block with no privacy block which was a little annoying. Pool was gorgeous along with the roof top pool which should be utilised more! And the jacuzzi!

The breakfast wasn’t great at all. This is what let the stay down. It was cold, eggs, bacon, everything was cold.

Maybe the personal

This hotel is an absolute disaster. From the moment you step into the lobby, it’s clear that maintenance is not a priority. The entire property feels neglected, with filthy, trash-filled spaces between buildings that make it look more like a dumping ground than a hotel. The rooms are no better—worn-down and unkempt. And the breakfast? A daily ordeal of the same bland, low-quality food, as if no effort was made whatsoever. Staying here feels less like a getaway and more like a test of endurance.

All are great , but you must have bike or car

Nothing , one day only they interred the room with no permission , it was for decoration/plumbing This should not happen , but it was safe

The photos online

The overall property didn’t match the photos, very outdated and broken furniture in the room, my shower had no running hot water. I had to ask to move rooms but it was not up to standard so I changed hotels after 1 night.

Our 1 bedroom villa was very spacious - two bathrooms, one outdoors. The bed was comfortable. Villa was cleaned everyday with fresh towels delivered. Great breakfast buffet with nice coffee. Good location. Two pools, one with a bar.

Very kind and helpful staff. Big plus was own hot tub at balcony with view on the city phuket.

Only downside is location and opening times (pool bar and restaurant close at 6pm) We recommend getting bike asap otherwise u will have to use grab/bolt. Apartments are close to very frequent road.

Too far from patong

Location is great, close to city with scooter but not in the loud and busy areas. Large rooms, balcony and nice views. Big shower and good water pressure.

Property need some renovation / maintenance.

Maybe just the view of the bay. The staff were trying their best and I commend them for trying to be positive and helpful but they don’t have much to work with.

I want to say everything about this place sucked. The facilities that are there, are poorly maintained. There were several things broken or not fully operational while we were staying there. It’s like whoever owns or manages this place does not care at all. The location is also not great. We even struggle to get Grab drivers to come to this property.

Nice, spacious room layout, only 4 coat hangers but plenty more provided on asking, a/c good, bath which I like, there is a rain shower head and the normal shower head is fixed height, a nuisance for small people, good sized fridge, good size balcony

Bit dated , in need oftlc, shower temp setting fiddly but once sussed out was ok

The swimming pool and its view is great.The coffee at the breakfast.

We stayed at a Villa and the pictures are VERY DIFFERENT from reality. I was expecting a "higher profile" villa but in the end it was and old and dark villa. The sofa was very small, it barely could sit two people. Even though there's a kitchen, there is no kitchen ware/cutlery.The breakfast has very limited options and coffee takes a long time to be served, still it tastes good. Honestly, I was quite disappointed with our room.

The staff are so friendly and lovely Swim up bar was so good

You are quite close to the main hwy and hear mostly bikes speeding all night

The resort is a bit older and some facilities need maintenance, but althoug they are usable.

Chalong resort is in a great location far enough from noise of a busy city but close to shops / restaurants . The hotel is beautiful ! The grounds are surrounded by stunning trees , all well kept . The pools are gorgeous and well kept . Our room was so nice , beds comfortable and great standard of quality throughout . The food at the hotels restaurant was excellent value and tasty choices . Breakfast each morning was of high quality with a good variety of choice ( without being overwhelmed with too much ! ) the staff are so friendly and helpful throughout the hotel , we really enjoyed their professional attentive service . We loved our 10 days there . Walking distance to the tiger park through the stunning rubber tree plantation attached to the hotels grounds . Thank you to all the staff at chalong chalet resort and if we ever return to phuket we would stay again .

Only issue was child’s bed had to have an extra mattress to double up to make it suitable for use , which hotel quickly resolved on arrival .

Pleasant

The golf cart is really hard to order. The driver is pretty rude and irresponsible.

The staff were great! Facilities are in need of repairs but everything was clean. Lovely swimming pools. The staff offered every assistance to make our stay comfortable. Close to shops & restaurants at Chalong but removed from the busyness and very peaceful at the resort. Beautiful views with the elevation

Chalong resort not well connected to local shops/restaurants so needed to walk on the road at times. It would be ideal if a footpath could be extended. However, easy to get a Grab/taxi if required. Hotel staff also provided transport to shops one day when we required assistance. Public bus also available from front of hotel (it's on a main road)

Exceptional view on the island. It is situated at the bottom of the hill with Big Buddha of Phuket. Rooms are rather isolated from each other so there is not too many people around you for those who appreciate privacy. Stuff is friendly and helpful.

Just notice there are mosquitoes and take smth with you to prevent bites
