Kamala Beach Estate Resort - SHA Extra Plus

Location quiet but close walk to town. Wonderful staff. Free internet. Great restaurant short stroll from hotel.

Other than very small beach area. It is really not beachfront but does have excellent views of the water.

Many things where not desirable about this property, it was old, not well kept, furniture and decore was old and ugly, both baths and bedrooms were down stairs so you had to go up and down 2 flights of VERY SLIPPERY stairs to use toilet, first night a/c didn’t work and once it was fixed it leaked on the bed so had to sleep in a wet bed the first night, the kitchen appliances look like they were from the 80s and the pictures are very misleading not only is there no ocean view the only view you get is of over grown and very unkept landscaping. This property by Thai standards is way over priced, and it being a two bedroom place the only tv was upstairs no tv in either and while we were happy to see there was a washer in the unit as we had been traveling a lot we were looking forward to washing some clothes only to see a sign on the machine that it was out of order. I would not recommend this property.

staff was amazing. took care of whatever we needed. the place really has a relax vibe to it. after 2 months travelling we needed a place to cool down and relax before heading home. it was perfect

restaurant and bar could have added to the experience. they were closed. we saw that the place seems to be working on it.

Location, quiet, size of villa and the view

Plumbing is working but getting old. The storage areas were Smelling a little moldy from humidity.

We were not very lucky as we booked last available room and it was in close proximity to road . But overall experience is very good . Staff is very helpful .

Nice gardens and natural feel environment. Staff were very kind and helpful. Pool was also really nice.

Furnished in hard thai wood. Not a decent place to sit. Photos of what i rented weren’t same room. Bait and switch i think. View to die for. Tv more like a monitor. Bed comfy.

The room and sea views where awesome. The pool area was good with a nice deep pool and the rooms where large.

Excellent location with well kept gardens & amazing views. We booked the 2 bedroom Andaman cottage looking out to sea with the beach just a few metres away & could hear the sound of the waves. Magic! There are many shops, restaurants & convenience stores within walking distance & right o the beach. The staff were just so amazingly helpful & we were well looked after. Special mention to Danie & Summer at reception for making sure service was top notch. Nice pool areas.

it would be nice if breakfast was included but not a big issue since the cottages have well equipped kitchens.

Cafe would have been good, perhaps if the little restaurant opened for coffee n light breakfast

Beautiful quiet hotel within walking distance to Kamala main area.

The staff was very friendly and we appreciated the cleaning crew who worked really hard everyday, including washing our dishes. The pool was nice and quiet, and we really appreciated the toys that were available to play with. The location of the resort was fairly close to town and was walking distance to grocery stores, convenience stores etc. The kitchen was a real kitchen, which allowed us to prepare some simple meals bring home a lot of the food from the market to eat in the comfort of our room.

The rooms themselves are on the older side, and while they definitely met our expectations, the limited lighting and sparse outlets were slightly challenging. The bathroom definitely felt on the older end, though hot water was plenty and met our needs. The most disappointing for us was the beach. Even though the hotel is at the beachfront, the beach of the hotel was rocky/muddy rather than a true beach, so we had to travel further to enjoy a sandy beach. However, we did appreciate our view of the ocean nonetheless.

Good location, private beach, away from crowds, nice room

We were greeted by Danie and Sumer by name welcoming us as soon as we got out of our cab with a water and fresh towel. The landscaping was beautiful. This was towards the end of a 3 week holiday and after the craziness of the other cities we visited this relaxing oasis was just what we needed. We laid around the pool in the morning and then walked into town in the afternoons and it was perfect. White at the hotel but close enough to walk to whatever we needed.

O thing, we loved everything.

Great location. Quiet and aware from the noisy shops, but a really easy walk to restaurants supermarkets and the beach. Staff were responsive and helpful to our requests. Comfy apartments with a nice outlook. Rooms are actually nicer than they look in the pictures.

Guests have to buy their own drinking water. The hotel only supplies 1 litre per day per couple. Not a big deal as it's cheap to buy. Just need to be aware. Electricity is a bit touch and go so the lighting is not great at night

We loved the location and the overall look off the property. The room was clean and tidy. The beach was great and the pools too. It was quiet which is what we wanted. No loud music, screaming kids etc. the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were a 10 out of 10. Lovely people. We had a very comfortable stay and would return.

Only one thing occurred which was a real concern. We were relaxing by the pool when a guy with a huge insect fumigating machine came along without warning and smoked us out with horrible smoke. We couldn’t breathe and had to try and get away. Not sure what we had breathed in. We reported this to the staff who were very apologetic and offered us free tea or coffee. They advised us that we should have had an email which we didn’t receive, we should have had a note through the door, the resort had a list of guests so this should have been a priority. My wife was extremely upset as she has severe asthma. I have videos of what happened. You won’t believe it if you watched this.

Location slightly away from beach and town was perfect for us. Not too busy. Staff excellent.

Perhaps a little tired but not an issue for us.

location simply excellent. place, whilst old, is clean and comfortable. you can walk to everything in Kamala.
