Hotel IKON Phuket - SHA Extra Plus

Breakfast was great and the service of the staff. Common spaces were clean, pool area was nice and not crowded. Location of the hotel was also convenient.

Room needs a desperate deep clean. It was moldy in many areas and had stains in the walls, floors and counters. Needs to be renovated, most of the pictures are from when it first opened.

I liked so many things the helpful reception, cleaning service, breakfast options, the room, the view, luggage help, the elevator, and most of all, how quiet it was. Really a great experience

The reception area had no AC and was super hot. No one can wait there in the summer. I hope they install AC soon.

Big rooms with nice views if you are on a higher floor, nice balcony. Staff was welcoming. The hotel provides beach towels and transfers to Karon beach. Gym works 24/7 and has decent equipment for a hotel gym.

The swimming pool almost never has any sunlight and is in the shade. Very basic breakfasts, I would expect more options and varieties for a hotel of such level. Hotel is basically located in 3 separate buildings, which are connected by 3 elevators, so you have to take multiple elevators each time you want to get to your room. It takes time and is inconvenient especially if you have a lot of bags, etc.

I loved the location. Short walk to the beach with many eateries along the way.

The bathroom smelled bad.

Large spacious room with a sea and mountain view. Excellent buffet breakfast which was great value for money. Lovely pool area which closed at 8pm. Not many children around so the pool area was peaceful.

Wifi in my room was unstable and had to ask the ICT support team to take a look twice.

The air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly in our room

Great hotel, service and pool. Rooms cleaned everyday and provided toiletries and clean towels for Tim, pool and beach. Super location near Karon beach and excellent restaurants, 7 eleven, shops and massage parlours. Staff and porter all very courteous and attentive.

The staffs are very friendly. The room is very clean and we had an amazing view.

I have been coming to Karon for 7 years and Ikon is one brilliant place to stay. Rooms are great size, breakfast brilliant with plenty to choose from and staff and management are very helpful. It is about 15-20 minutes walk from the beach but hotel provides free shuttle bus throughout the day. There is a brilliant massage place right in front of the hotel called sweet lemongrass. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to be back! Thanks Ikon team ??

Staff were very warm and friendly and assisted in our luggage.

Took us a long time to get to our room, had to take 3 elevators and when they weren't working had to walk up 8 flights of stairs. Breakfast buffet lacked variety and room was quite old and had aged decor, bathroom and mirrors were rusting.

The room was tidy and clean, the swimming pool was nice and organized.

A strong smell or sewage comes out if the aircon in the room, forcing you to open it at least once every few hours so let the bad smell leave the room. Of course this means loads of mosquitos and insect would enter the room, forcing you to sleep under the blanket to not get bitten and try to get some sleep. For some reason the sheets were super heavy, think Islands duvets, so all this means you sweat like crazy and don't sleep. Total nightmare. Also loads of noise from the street has the corridor is open onto the streets.

Breakfast was excellent and offered a variety of food. The rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. The cleaning service was satisfactory. Near the hotel, there are several good cafes, a convenience store (7-Eleven), massage salon and a fruit kiosk. The shuttle service is punctual and takes only five minutes to reach the beach. While the beach is public, it is well-maintained. You can rent an umbrella and two sunbeds for 200 Baht.

They are only provided with 2 bottles of water (0.5 liters each) per day. When we request a refill, each additional bottle of water costs 30 Baht. We find this uncomfortable, especially since it is very hot outside, and people usually consume more water. It's not reasonable to charge for water; at the very least, there should be access to filtered water for free.

We had a room with a very nice sea view. The room was spacious with a big comfortable bed.

The hotel was a bit old and not that well maintained (cracked items, sloppy applied paint). Staff was generally friendly and responsive when we needed something, but they were very rude when we were checking-in - receptionist asked me not to make dirty a pillow case because I had coloured hair.

We really enjoyed our stay at IKON! We booked 3 rooms and found that all 3 rooms were quite spacious and the facilities were great, we had great views of the scenary from our rooms. The staff (and overall customer service) at IKON were incredible and very attentive - everyone was extremely friendly and made our stay comfortable! We found that the shuttle to and from the beach was very neat as well as the free towel burrowing service. The accomodation is neatly positioned close to Karon Beach as well as a couple of restaurants, not to mentioned, a few steps away is a gas station which had a 7-Eleven. We really enjoyed breakfast and the change in menu every morning! Everything was neat and made our stay very enjoyable :)

Not a problem for us but the rooms are in open hallways, we were just a bit surprised when we arrived. Not a major problem for the most part, but the rooms are not soundproof, we could hear our neighbours...

The room was very clean and spacious, cleaned every day, liked the hotel design overall. Nice smelling toiletries and body lotion. I liked the room style and the view (we had a pool view). The location was a bit far from everything, but otherwise it was calm area with some cheap restaurants and massage salons around. The shuttle to the Karon beach (one of the best I visited) was very useful, beach and pool towels provided. Small, but nice pool area and comfy breakfast zone.

I didn’t like the breakfast, the choice was small and the food was not that tasty, rather plain I would say, but the eggs were perfect though and selection of fruit was nice. Coffee machine that makes you instant coffee was a complete disappointment ?No option for water refill, just two bottles of water in the room.Air conditioner didn’t work in the gym and it smelled moldy, didn’t use it. The price was rather expensive during high season.

Our room had ants on the first night but the staff quickly sorted this and there was no further sign of them after.
