Beautiful view from the restaurant , easy access to beach / pool, comfortable rooms, good food and lovely à la carte breakfast

The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. Great location on the beach.

There was nothing specific I didn’t like.

Breakfast was included in our pricing, we were very pleased that we did not have to front a buffet every morning. Instead we were given a breakfast menu to choose from a healthy list with a lot of variety. Most mornings Mr X ensured we were comfortably seated at our favourite table in the dining area which overlooked the beautiful waves with the sound of the sea filled with surf board riders and swimmers. The smiling staff were always at hand if you required anything from information about shopping, tuk tuks, cabs, places to see, doctors, pharmacies and recommendations for dining out. Jonathan, the Boathouse Executive Chef was very pleasant and happy to chat about his expansive A la carte dinner menu which featured Thai and Western Cuisine. Daniel the Food and Beverage manager was extremely helpful also with information on the Boathouse history along other details which made our two week stay more pleasurable. Our holiday was made so much better with all of the friendly staff greeting us with big smiles each day, they made us feel at home. Pepe (the joker) made us laugh, the beds are excellent and our room room overlooking the sea especially at sunset was perfect.

The airconditioner in our room was a little noisy.

Sounds daft - but actually the roar of the sea was deafening at times. Plastic but it’s everywhere and you cannot fault the staff - the hotel was so clean

Exceptional service! The staff was attentive and aimed to care for you. They are kind to ensure a pleasant stay. There recommendations were exactly what we asked for. The property was spotless and extremely organized. This was our favorite accommodations.

Nothing not to like, wishe we stayed longer.

Location and a la carte breakfast

Rooms were small although ocean suite. It was difficult to get a third bed for free. Half the hotel was under renovation so it was a bit ghostly in some areas

Polluted ocean, huge crowds on the beach, small pool and mediocre grounds. .

The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location is great. They have a private access to the beach. Restaurant food was top notch and the staff were amazing. In all an amazing experience.

Excellent staff except for the front desk not veryaccommodating. Great restaurant staff. And absolutely wonderful food for breakfast and dinner.

This hotel appears to be a nicely remodeled old apartment complex or guesthouse. We paid $250 per night for water view room but our room had an obstructed view with big building and tree in front of us. They agreed to change our room but when we arrived in the evening to change room and pay for an additional 2 nights extending our stay, they offered us a room with no view for the same price. Not worth at $250 per night. And a little puzzled by the 9.2 rating. At $120 to $150 is fair considering the location.

What can I say? This is the Boathouse, probably the best hotel on Kata Beach and our favourite place to stay in Phuket. The freshly prepared breakfasts and dinners overlooking the beach, great facilities, helpful staff, pool set up, sunset views and beach location all add to the charm and pleasure of staying here. And let's not forget the fabulous food and beverages with great dining area. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with large comfortable beds and a decent TV selection for rainy days.

Our 3 day stay was too short!

We enjoyed our stay at Boathouse Phuket. The location is perfect, the food was delicious, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

Beautiful setting - great service - head chef Jonathan was amazing and helped me as I was unwell from another island . He personally visited us and cooked anything I fancied. Absolutely amazing - just what I needed after being unwell. Clean and friendly staff. Mai was just unbelievable and so so kind. Would love to re visit and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great service, good rooms beautiful view and wonderful food.

Fantastic small hotel with a very personal touch

Location. Kata Beach is very busy and dirty

We stayed here for 4 nights and we found it exceptional! The staff are super friendly and helpful beyond our expectations!! They booked us cars for activities whenever we needed, bring you ice water at the pools without ever being asked, and offer great and FAST service any time of day for room service or in the restaurant. Our room was nice and also quite large, air conditioning worked amazingly, and it was very very clean in the rooms. The outdoor restaurant was phenomenal, prices were reasonable, and the pool was very pleasant with towel service and ample seats for the number of guests in this boutique hotel.Great little gym, and pool bar area. Resort was basically at one end of Kata Beach which is just a stunning spot! The water is very warm, beach is not too busy, and it has pristine waters and white sand.

There were really no negatives here! I guess one could say that a negative was that there was no indoor dining room/ restaurant that was air conditioned, if you wanted to eat indoors. Nights in early March were still exceptionally warm, so occasionally it was a bit hot eating dinner outside even at 8 pm, but you could always ask to sit under one of the patio ceiling fans if you found right outside along the beach too warm ( which we did some nights). There was a bit of construction noise right at the end of the beach, presumably for a new resort going up, but this was only audible by the pool and beacg during weekdays till 5 pm. Didn't really bother us at all, but if any noise bothers you this may be a consideration.The only other thing to keep in mind is that this is about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic from the airport. But ultimately that's just how long it takes to get to the nice kata Beach area.

The breakfast was excellent! Loved the view as well. The service at the front desk was very helpful and all the staff are friendly. The location is great, I like the beach side location of the pool.

One kid peed in the pool. The father let him do that. I don't like uncouth tourists! But the staff was great and helped tell them to stop this behaviour.

The property was modern, clean and comfortable. It was perfect and we would definitely come back!

The Boathouse is wonderfully located right on Kata Beach and close to some very good local restaurants.The terrace faces the beach and the bay. The staff were charming and cheerful and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a choice of local or western options.

We changed our room after 2 days because our view was blocked by a building. The bedroom was a bit small and the bathroom door design was not as private as it could be. Kata town itself is uninteresting.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive and kind. We really felt at home. The hotel is right on the beach and within walking distance from several restaurants and shops. The room was large and comfortable. The common areas were pleasant and well maintained.

The only small downside in my opinion is that the hotel restaurant seemed a bit overpriced. However, there are several alternatives close by, for either lunch at the beach or dinner in town.
