Orchidacea Resort - Kata Beach

Great location and amazing pool.

Terrible customer service! We had to pay full price for the transfer from the airport although driver left and no one was waiting for us after exhausting flight. Hotel had my number but no one called us either.

We had a fantastic stay at Orchidacea! The staff were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was really good, offering a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The rooms were modern and new, with an amazing view of the ocean and city. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

There were a couple of small issues during our stay. The refrigerator either froze our beverages completely or didn’t cool them at all, which made it hard to store drinks properly. Also, the toilet didn’t always flush fully, which was a bit annoying.

Great location, room was excellent, facilities were superb as was the food and service.Staff were extremely helpful and will offer to carry bags up the stairs - stairs were not as bad as many reviews claim though the extra help from staff was certainly appreciated.

Great view from the room, bed was huge. Staff very helpful and kind. Hotel located in a great area 2 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from main strip of Kata beach. A free shuttle bus also available to take to Kata noi beach. Beautiful pool.

Great location for massage and 5 min away from kata beach...great restaurant with nice terrace view for dinner. Super friendly staff.

Excellent hotel couldn't fault anything. The rooms were lovely spacious and clean with great sized balcony. Staff were great. Restaurant served fresh tasty food and prices weren't too bad. Pool area was lovely with a pool bar which also served the full food menu, also offering happy hours. Location is a 1 minute walk to kata beach and around 10 mins to kata noi beach with free drop offs (but not pickups) Highly recommend

The hotel itself is very nice and the staff is fantastic, they are extremely helpful and have a virtually 24/7 WhatsApp open line. The breakfast is nice and the hotel restaurant is exceptional with a good variety of "Western" and Thai dishes.The location is also great as the hotel is 5 minutes from the beach and nearby restaurants (only be aware of the many stairs if you're placed in the buildings higher on the hill).There is also parking near the different buildings and all other facilities are on point, including the swimming pool.

Not an issue at all but just for potential guests to be aware, there are many stairs to the buildings higher on the hill which may be challenging in the heat.Although the staff was very helpful in referring us to a clinic and pharmacy, it would be good to have at least some partial medical staff on hotel premises.

Very beautiful view. Tasty and plentiful breakfast. Clean room. It was great that we could communicate with the reception through WhatsApp.

In the heat, it wasn't always pleasant to climb the stairs to the accommodation.

Staff were really lovely, felt very welcomed. Clean rooms, felt very safe! We even received a random upgrade in our room☺️

Nice clean hotel situated at the end of Kata beach, the location was fine but the hotel is situated on a hill and there are no lifts, we had a sea veiw room with a fantastic veiw, but to get to this room there are multiple flights of stairs to climb, nice hotel but not suitable for less mobile, which I am not but still struggled with the stairs, book a room on the lower floors would be my advice.

Multiple flights of stairs, breakfast wasn't great not worth it in my opinion.

Excellent pool and sunbed area. Really nice, helpful and polite staff. View from our room included the pool and the sea, which was great. Well located, not too far from restaurants and nightlife, including the Two Chefs nearby by where the 2 girl acoustic band were really good.

There were a fair few steps up to our room, but it did help us keep fit a little and work off some of the breakfast.

The resort overall was a very nice space, good pool and close walk to everything we needed.

However we had a major incident on the final day with staff members which caused us to almost miss a flight. They booked us a car, then after 20 minutes (and asking several times) they realised the driver had already left with the wrong passengers. I then tried to stress we were going to be late and they then cancelled the driver completely - we had to try to order a taxi via grab and bolt which none were responding too - and then only finally after I was panicking and crying did they offer to send one of their team to hail a taxi in the street (which we then paid well over the odds for.)A small mistake but they dealt with it terribly - we left 45 mins later than planned, the two main staff was were rude and ignorant and totally unhelpful, and we had to pay way over the odds to the taxi to get us to the airport on time. I tried to contact them to speak to them about the incident afterwards and they ignored all my messages.

Hotel and it's services were very nice, very friendly staff. However, it was extremely noisy and busy around the Kata area, not ideal for relaxing holiday. Even when suntanning at the hotel pool, the huge noise from surrounding traffic was from hell. Will not ever go back.
