The staff was very friendly, the location was excellent - very close to Metro - and the rooms with balcony were perfect to watch the lively neighbourhood.

The restaurant on the second floor, which we liked very much on our previous stays in this hotel had to be shut down due to new government rules. ☹️

The staff at the Metropolis is wonderful. My flight was delayed a bit and they still waited for me at the airport and got me safely to the hotel. I needed to get cash when I got there and one of the staff members walked with me to the ATM to make sure I found everything alright. I ordered the chicken biryani and raita with a lemon mint juice and they brought it straight to my room. It was hot and fresh and tasty. The next morning I needed to leave for the train station and the staff was very helpful giving me tips for how to get there and what to do. They called a rickshaw for me and I was off. When I was on my train, they even kept in touch with me over WhatsApp to make sure I got to my next place okay. I would stay here over and over again just for the helpfulness of the staff!

Horrible bed and terrible neighbourhood

Please use Google Street View before booking this hotel. You'll see the neighbourhood, it's terrible. The bed was stained all over and didn't have sheets, only an itchy blanket. Ther's tons of noice from the streets and in winter it's very cold in the room. The shower didn't work properly and also didn't have hot water. The hotel has a guy who can help you buy train tickets and so, but actually wasn't a big help to us.

Look for another option.

In Paharganj near metro station. They have a shuttle from the airport for raisonnable price, which makes the arrival easy .Very big room with a fridge and balcony. Great bathroom. Hot water.Ac and fanHelpful and nice personal.

It was super dirty, the bedclothes were in poor condition, and the bed head was yellow; only the areas where the pillows touched it were clean. There were cockroaches, and toilet paper was provided only upon request, as was hot water. The bed lacked a complete set of bedclothes; the blanket was hidden in the wardrobe, which didn't come with any cover, and it was not washed. There was a lot of dust everywhere, so you needed to clean the space yourself before putting your clothes anywhere. The hotel has significant potential, but unfortunately, no one takes care of it, and the cleaning is not thorough.

a old legendary place in Pahari gang, I came here first 20 years ago.very central great location.really nice staff, room are big confortable.very good restaurant and so room service.recommend.

Staff were helpful. The room was very quiet even though the hotel area was noisy which was a bonus.

The internet connection was very poor as I tried 3 different logins and none of them would stay connected for any length of time.

I have to start with the staff. The manager was extremely helpful. He organized an airport pick up, train tickets, tuk tuks etc. Thank you for that! I also could leave my backpack there for few days which helped me a lot. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.

The neighborhood is scary, filthy, noisy and just not the best location. You will hear noise from the street until the morning hours. I stayed for 3 nights and wifi worked only one day. There were no sheets on my bed, I had to ask.The first night I had really nice and spacious room. Then I left and came back for 2 extra nights when my family arrived. Unfortunately I got a very small room with a weird bathroom. The shower didn’t work properly and there was no curtain so the bathroom flooded after every use.

The people there was amazing. They send me a Whatsapp message with all the necessary details when I booked the room. They also booked me a pick up from the airport. After long travel, people in The hotel welcomed me in with tea and travel advises. If you are looking for easy going, safe and clean place with good location and friendly and helpful people, this is your place.

The rooms could be a little more cosy. But all was clean, bed was good and there was a fan for cooling the room.
