Discovery Ancol

Not bad hotel, clean but I didn’t like the place.In every gate entrance you have you have to buy an entrance ticket which is non sense for someone who’s already have a hotel reservation !

Not a bad hotel, clean, spacious, respectful staff they want to help but they don’t know English very well, I asked for a car from the concierge office to the airport at a specific time, And I was shocked that it was not there and the receptionist informed me that there was a misunderstanding and they have to make a new request for a the car ! Seemed like a good room from the pictures... seems like a good hotel... but honestly, I was more happy to leave. I wouldn't stay here unless it was REALLLYYY CHEAP.

Biggest complaint are the gates to the area - Grab cannot get in for free. They charge 30k per person. This is EXTREMELY aggravating. This only makes your hotel POINTLESS. No easy access. Takes grab/taxi TOO long to get to your hotel. I wasted more time waiting for grab to navigate around the gates than I did enjoying the area. Hotel staff are NOT helpful with this problem - totally clueless.Also, scanning our bags/luggage EVERY TIME we enter your hotel - that's.... NOT welcoming. This makes me quite angry and I haven't even checked into your hotel yet.We asked the staff about any nearby food - they said there was none. In fact, AFTER we ordered Grab - we found a VERY NICE, area with lots of food options ON THE HOTEL GROUNDS! Why didn't their own staff know about this????This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Not even close. Maybe it was.... 30 years ago.... false advertising.

Great Location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Bang for your buck.

everything was perfect ! in particular the staff were great ! plus good food , spacious room with huge comfortable bed , nice pool ! and management are hands on and run the hotel in a very professional manner

I should pay every time go out from the location , even if I request delivery food from outside. And it very difficult to make trip if you don’t have personal car ,

The pool was nice

The room was clearly not cleaned as it was so dusty. The sink in both the living room and bathroom were blocked up. Had to ask for them to clean and check the sinks. When we came back, the tasks were not even done, sink still choked up. Very disappointed with the level of cleaning and care accorded to suite holders

Only the location

It is my 2nd time staying at discovery ancol I stayed long time ago when it was new I thought aftert many years they still maintaining the same quality unfortunately the rooms are a bit old the toilet has smell in my kids room there was no view, it was a plane wall only When we requested to change the room we’ve been told that all rooms with the same category has no views

Great staff and services. Great location if you’re heading to Ancol beach or concerts. They also allowed us to check in early (11:30am) and it is just a very nice and modern hotel.

Staff could speak better English.

spacious room , comfortable bed , very nice , super friendly and efficient staff . a manager who took the time to chat and make sure that everything was ok ! reasonably priced , good breakfast included .

It was kids friendly. Good playing area, swimming pool and kids zone.

Too many mosquitoes at the rabbit feeding area, poolside and even in the room balcony. Lift is slow moving. Lightings in the room definitely need improvement. Quite dull in the evening. Walls are too thin that I can hear people talking from another room. Questionable on the privacy and security of the rooms as I was surprised to find someone watering the plants outside my room at the balcony. He must’ve climbed over from another room. Definitely not what I expected to see after returning from breakfast. If that is being done easily, imagine if someone were to sneak into the room at night and commit crimes as I have 2 children with me! Balcony door was unable to lock from inside as well.

Swimming pool and exceptional restaurant. Breakfast has it all

Rooms are bit worn, difficult to get non smoking room - although after checking 2 of them we were upgraded by the Manager to a better one without smoke smell. We appreciated the effort

Hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast is tasty with many possibilities. Free bus for transport in Ancol area (to get some entertainment).

Swimming pool is deep only 120 cm. You have to pay for EACH entrance to this area 30.000,- IDR per person…even for taxi! No map of this area available in the hotel.

Nice area but most things around the hotel was closed. Although it was out of season.

There was nothing really I could complain about

Nice staff and amazing breakfasts.

Isolated and there was a charge to get on site. Getting to the place was very difficult through a special entry and taxis were charged. There was a pass code system but it wasn’t explained well and a new pass was required for every entry which was difficult if you didn’t know you exact movements.Also around the facility seems a bit run down post covid, I guess. Not what I was expecting compared to the website on the area.

Little bit out of the way, but it's fine if you only need to be in Jakarta for buiness/family

Location very close to Dufan.Staff are friendly.

Towel is a bit smelly.Shower is leaking. Faucet need a bit effort to close.

Breakfast has many varieties

1. Shampoo/shower is not enough for two persons (only provide one small pack)2. Only provide one door key3. Only one chair inside the room4. Only one glass inside the bathroom 5. Book a 90-minutes couple massage in advance but when we arrived there, the therapist said only a 60 minutes massage can be provided coz it clash with another booking
