Centrally located.Hotel is very nice and clean.Staff are very helpful.

Great location close to shopping, food, and transit options including the airport bus. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, even though my wife speaks no Korean. Kids zone is a great option for parents with small children in a busy city.

After an 11-night stay, I can confidently give the Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun an 8/10. The standout feature, without a doubt, is the location. It is perfectly situated for both tourism and business. Being a short walk from the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (with three subway lines) made navigating the city effortless. We were also close to the vibrant Dongdaemun Market, the stunning DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza), and it was a quick metro ride to Myeongdong and Insadong.The room was clean, modern, and spacious enough for my long stay. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities were good. While there wasn't one single thing that was "wow," everything was consistently reliable and pleasant. For a traveler whose priority is convenience and easy access to Seoul's best sights, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Firstly, while the hotel is nice, the price felt quite high for the value received. Secondly, and more disappointingly, the room we received was different from the one advertised on the booking site. It was a similar category but the layout and view weren't what we expected based on the photos, which was a letdown.

Good Location, nice view, awesome rooftop pool

Shower did not work properly: only if you turned the temperature to the middle between warm and cold you would get full strength water current. If you wanted a warm shower the water came out in droplets.. has to turn it uncomfortably cold to get a normal water current/strength.Reported it to the staff, who checked it out with an engineer but then they shrugged it off as being normal / everything working as expected.

The hotel is very clean and bed also very comfy. The plus is the location, so close to the subway station and a lot of food to explore nearby

Overall facilities very good. Gym is excellent. Location is excellent. Information on how to get to hotel on booking.com was poor.

Night time check in was terrible. Poor english skills of front desk staff at night which was not the actual check in counters which were on floor 20. No one tells you this. During the day check in staff on level 20 much better. The security guard etc that looks after ground floor during overnight hours had no idea.

This is one of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed in here in Korea. Modern amenities, comfortable beds, great views, and the FOOD was amazing! I was nervous with so many families with small children there during the same timeframe. Once our room door closed, I could barely hear a peep above or around me! It made sleep peaceful—which is a plus! Also, there are food options, convenience stores, and a mall within walking distance!

I understand that it is a 5-Star hotel, but for the price, they should re-think the pool sign-up situation—if I am on vacation, I want to enjoy the pool when it’s available, not based on a sign-up sheet. I understand safety, but I chose this hotel for the pool and didn’t get to use it because of changes to our schedule.Breakfast and dinner were amazing, but felt extremely rushed—even with the time slots. There is nothing worse than having people walking around while you’re eating, then standing over you with time cards reminding you when it’s time to stop eating. It’s a buffet.Room service—please update the app to modify meals (e.g., no cheese, no onions, light mayonnaise, etc.). With visitors from multiple countries, there should be a way to communicate requests or changes without being offensive or simply not understanding the language.

The hotel is comfortable, has a great location (right next to DDP), lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is very nice.

On the day of our arrival, the pools were closed, which we were not informed about. This is important because we chose this hotel because of the pool - after a 12-hour flight, we wanted to relax. In addition, the air conditioning in our room did not work, the repair service came and there were 3 people - a maintenance person, a receptionist and an intern. Three more people in this room was definitely too many.

Nothing to like , a lot of horrible experiences

The staff do not communicate u must repeat 3-4 times for each request , the rooms where horribly dirty & i mean bad stains, i do not know how this hotel took 5 stars

We booked the larger rooms (around 54 sqm) as we stayed for 1 week in Seoul and we wanted to enjoy the extra space. The hotel has a beautiful gym and amenities and its location is great as it 2 mins walk to the metro station, the airport shuttle drop off and pick up is 1 min walk away, there is the dundun shopping mall just 4 min walk and multiple convenient stores/starbucks around it. The room as its like a studio it has a kitchenette that can even cater cooking and it offers all needed cooking appliances and cutlery (of course you will need to get your own ingredients). Lastly, as many properties in Asia the hotel is offering a washing and dryer machine inside the room with detergent provided which is extremely handy!

The cleaning of the room is basic, although we did start our days quite late so maybe the staff didnt have enough time. The hotel has a strange elevator system that sometimes creates queues but if you are in and out of the hotel in odd times you wouldnt experience any delays.

Love this hotel have a family room, service is great and housekeeper is so nice and friendly. Room is clean. Love the smart room control. Concierge is helpful. Walkable distance to DDP and shopping areas, so great for family who wants to visit the Diki Diki Playground inside DDP.

Room is just big enough to open 2 big suitcases - but I guess it's the same like any other typical hotel in Seoul. Have to book in advance for Kids Zone/Club and make sure you have to wear swimming caps and goggles to swim either in the indoor or swimming pool - also have to make reservations for this on the weekend as they limit capacity. Further from the Airport - we paid 120,000 Won to get to the airport during peak hour (almost 2 hours) but this is typical in Seoul and we have expected it.

I don’t see why we can only use the kids area once a day. I see point of making only one reservation per day, but it doesn’t make it reasonable to limit the access

This is a nice hotel. The staff speaks English. We had a room on the 7th floor with a window view of the city. The hotel has a swimming pool and jacuzzi, we really liked it there (but don't forget to take a swimming cap, you have to wear it in the pool).

We thought it was strange how the bathroom in the room was made. The door is made of glass and it's transparent, so you can expect no privacy in the bathroom. Maybe it's okay for couples, but it's not comfortable for families.

The location was ideal, just minutes away from shopping area and subway station. There was also a kids zone, which is ideal for families.

Housekeeping needs to improve as there was a wet hand towel hung inside the shower door when I checked in the room, and a stash of bed linen was left on top of my mum's luggage.

The location is perfect, it’s close to a lot of restaurants and to the metro station.The staff was very friendly, especially at the breakfast.The breakfast buffet was solid, but could be improved for a five star hotel.The kids play area was awesome! I think the hotel is perfect for families… The staff was always very nice to our little son, even when he made a mess at the breakfast.The bed was huge and very comfortable.The A/C could be a bit quieter and the sofa and the furniture looked a bit used and not quite five star. One of the toilets smelled a bit for some days.Overall for our family vacation, I think the hotel was optimal.

I booked an extra night at this hotel to join a group tour already staying here. Honestly, I was shocked it has a 5-star rating—it fell far below expectations in almost every aspect.My room was not clean. The towels were old and worn out, and the bed cushions had an unpleasant odor. What was especially disturbing was the condition of the toilet remote—it was visibly dirty, which made me question the overall hygiene standards of the hotel.Breakfast was another low point. It was extremely crowded with little organization, and hygiene was a concern as the food was exposed to constant handling and potential contamination. There was only one working coffee machine, causing long queues every morning.I also had to carry my luggage to the room myself with no assistance, which is not what you expect from a hotel claiming to be five-star.Overall, this hotel did not meet basic standards for cleanliness, comfort, or service. I would not stay here again.

It was very clean, the room was very spacious and comfy, the staff was very polite, it is worth renting.

The location was great and close to subway systems. I enjoyed the cafe at the front - very convenient!

I didn’t enjoy that products used for cleaning were left in the room and that the bins didn’t have any liners.
