Pros +
- Cleanliness and staff was very helpful
- Proximity to the Yongsan station was a plus especially since there was a covered walking path that connects directly to the hotel. Also the amenities like the gym, sauna, restaurants and convenience store were a huge plus.
- Close to train station and mall. Room amenities are great. Room very clean. Money exchange accessible.
Cons -
- Nothing negative to say. Maybe a traditional Korean restaurant in the hotel would be nice.
- Lighting controls only existing on phone pad screen
- The room was rather new, but the cleanliness was poor. We first entered the room it wasn't spotless clean. At least 10 hairs were lying on the carpet, sink and on the bathrobe. We required room cleaning two times during our 6 days stay. They never did a proper cleaning job. Hair and dusts are still all over carpet, wooden floor and sink. Another con was that the shower temperature fluctuates. While having hot shower the water temperature constantly went up and down. It didnt go ice cold, but it went down from 40 degress to about 20, and back up constantly.

The location is considered ok as it is close to the train station and iPark Mall. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Super easy location for getting around, basically attached to yongsan station, with access to the train, subway, and busses right there. Also attached to a mall and casino.
Not much else directly around the property that is super interesting, and most tourist spots take a little time to get to.
Great service, clean rooms, very nice view on the city, great variety of restaurants and shop inside hotel.

Location and service
I was unable to book a late check out or even an extra night and had to change my hotel
We stayed at Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan as a family traveling with an infant, and the experience was solid. The junior suite was clean, spacious, and well-designed. One of the biggest benefits was the dedicated washing machine in the room. We used it almost daily for baby laundry, and it saved us a lot of time and hassle. Not many hotels offer this, and for families, it really matters. The room also came with a baby cot, which was already set up when we arrived. It was clean, sturdy, and felt safe. That meant we didn’t need to co-sleep or make any DIY sleeping arrangements. It gave us peace of mind, and our baby slept well in it.The layout of the suite gave us enough space to move around comfortably even with a stroller and baby gear. The bed was good, the furniture was practical, and the small kitchen area helped with simple baby meals and bottles. Everything felt thought out, not luxurious, but very functional, which is what we needed. The staff were polite, quick to help, and didn’t overdo it. Check-in and checkout were straightforward. We had a couple of requests during our stay. Nothing major, but every time someone responded quickly and took care of it. No fuss, no delays. We also appreciated the view from our room. We had a clear view of Yongsan and could see N Seoul Tower, especially at night. It was a nice way to unwind in the evening after a long day out. Not something we expected to enjoy, but we really did.The hotel connects directly to Yongsan Station, so getting around was easy. No long walks or complicated transfers. Park Mall is also connected, and that was useful for quick meals, groceries, and basic supplies. It was all within reach without needing to go far, which helped a lot with a baby in tow.
The breakfast buffet was one of the biggest letdowns. At first glance, it looked like there was a wide selection but it was the same food every single day. No variety at all. When you're staying for several days, you expect at least a few changes. Even just rotating a couple of items would have made a difference. Instead, it felt repetitive and boring.Another issue was the location. The hotel is far from most of the main attractions in Seoul. It’s connected to Yongsan Station, which makes transportation easier, but it still takes time to get anywhere worth visiting. If you're planning to explore places like Myeongdong, Insadong, or Gyeongbokgung, be ready for long subway rides or use K.Ride (like Uber but for foreigners). We also had one experience that really left a bad impression. We rented a car and I had to pick it up from Seoul Station, then return to the hotel to pick up my family. I stopped near the hotel entrance with my hazard lights on, planning to just load them and leave. I wasn’t even there for a full minute before a staff member came out and scolded me for stopping there. I explained I am currently checked-in and I was just picking up my family and pointed to the hazard lights, but he didn’t care. He stayed rude the entire time, giving off a very unwelcoming attitude. I wasn’t blocking traffic or causing a problem. It could have been handled better. We weren’t trying to park long-term, just a quick stop. That interaction stuck with me and soured the experience
Pleasant welcome, helpful staff and easy to understand. Room size awesome.
Filling items in the room, eg: washing liquids
Impeccable customer service from all staff we interacted with, we always came back to a cleaned, spacious, fragrant, and well lit room. It was the perfect location as it was right next to Yongsan station and Ipark mall, where you find literally anything and everything. They also have a convenience store in the hotel, lovely restaurants and facilities such as the gym and sauna.
The only issue I had was that the pool was open only from 1.30pm on weekdays. Wish it was open from the morning, as I like to have a swim before I start the day's activities. Other than that, I loved everything else and will definitely stay here again if I visit Seoul again.
Great room and good service
A poor selection of bars for the size of the complex. In house restaurants were exceptionally expensive
The room was spacious and great value for money. The Han river view was amazing. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
I didn’t like the Location at all. It is a huge building that has 4 different hotels and casino in Yongsan which I thought I could easily get around as there is a bridge connecting to Yongsan train station however, it’s a quiet a walk to the train station and as it’s not subway, need extra walk to the Shinyongsan subway station. First night we had terrible jet lag so we first wanted to have some drinks at the bar which was surprisingly closed and that wasn’t even midnight. So we had no choice but to go out even just to grab can of beer…. We stayed two nught and even though you can grab taxi to go to itewon, hannam area, I was feeling a bit trapped. Wish there was a convenient store in the building… ( maybe there is I didn’t know? )
Clean and spacious rooms with easy access to the train station and mall
Aside from the convenient bridge connection to the subway station and the kind and friendly staff, there is nothing else positive to note.
My room number was 3471, and I would like to share some concerns about my stay:The room was extremely small, yet it was overcrowded with furniture. It had an L-shaped sofa, two bar chairs, an office chair, and a lounge chair. Upon entering, the walkway was cluttered with five chairs, leaving no space for luggage or movement. The shower was equipped with two showerheads: one overhead and a handheld one. I typically use the handheld shower, but the overhead shower kept dripping water, which was quite inconvenient. The toilet emitted a persistent unpleasant odor throughout my stay. The breakfast, despite not being cheap, lacked quality and did not taste good at all.The most significant negative point I want to highlight is the lift system. The hotel has four lifts serving the upper floors, but they are incredibly slow. Moreover, the indicator lights often display incorrect information, causing confusion. On average, I had to wait 7–12 minutes for a lift to go down to the lobby, which was extremely inconvenient.Novotel is a 5-star hotel, and I even booked the more premium Novotel Suite. It was not inexpensive, costing approximately 1,500 Singapore dollars for a 4-night stay. However, the quality of the experience was absolutely not worth the price. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
Great location; excellent, modern room; airport shuttle bus stops at the complex; near a major train station. Lots of restaurants and electronic stores within a 15 minute walk.
Amazing views! The suite had plenty of space, with a separate living room and a small kitchen. The washing machine was quite helpful as well. I did not have time to test out the sauna nor fitness so I can't comment on that. Breakfast was always the same but it was good quality and varied. From other reviews I was worried that the AC might be a problem but for me it worked flawlessly.Location is very good, with Yongsan station directly connected to the building. Even with a few of the quirks that I experienced, I'd definitely stay here again! I also stayed a few nights at the next door Grand Mercure, which was slightly more expensive but also a slightly better experience.
Going with the elevator can take a while especially during busy hours. Housekeeping was relatively good expect for a few weird points: One trash can was never emptied (during ~5 days..) until I put the plastic bag next to the door. And one day all the towels were gone, so I had to ask for new ones late at night when I came back. On a couple of days the breakfast area reserved for the suites was closed with no notice and had to figure out to go to the other breakfast area instead. The room was relatively clean, although when arriving I did easily notice hairs & dust on the floor which was a bit disappointing.
