Nine Brick Hotel

We liked everything about the hotel. The staff was very friendly and could speak English. The rooms were modern and stylish. Loved the soaking tub after a day out in the frigid temperatures. The warm toilet seat was awesome! We didn’t try the restaurant

The hotel is super nice, great location.

The location was convenient, room was cleaned, staff was welcoming and accommodating, breakfast was tasty.

My only complaint is that the door to my room was tight. I’m not weak and I had to force the door open when entering and leaving the room. From third person perspective it probably looked like I was breaking in every time I opened the door

Great location

While the hotel has potential, it feels like the room was designed without much thought for practicality or guest comfort. There are absolutely no storage options in the room — no closet, no shelves, no drawers. For a short one- or two-night stay, this might be manageable, but for a longer visit like ours (a full week), it becomes quite inconvenient. The room is small, and with all clothes and belongings kept in open suitcases, there’s barely any free space left to move around.The bathroom is also poorly designed. It’s practically impossible to take a shower without flooding the entire bathroom floor.In addition, the room includes only a small kettle with two tea bags and two instant coffee sachets — no sugar, no spoons, and only disposable cups.Another frustrating detail: there’s a motion-activated light at the entrance that cannot be turned off. The light floods the entire room every time someone gets up at night (for example, to use the bathroom), making it difficult to sleep peacefully.Overall, while the stay was okay, the room’s design and lack of attention to comfort made it far less enjoyable than it could have been.

Location is amazing, bed was pretty comfy.

There is a motion-sensor automatic safety light in the entrance to the room that turned on every time we so much as shifted the comforter in the bed in the middle of the night. It was so awful - it kept us up all night long. When I told the front desk in the morning they refused to compensate us in any way for the issue. We had an incredibly long travel day ahead of us, flying back to Los Angeles, and getting no sleep was extremely disappointing. They also don’t have blackout curtains even though the amenities list included them. At minimum any hotel room should be a dark comfortable place to stay. This place could not even accomplish that.

location and value for money

the bathroom design- the doors are see through. the bathroom is very small- no way you can have a bath without creating a splash.

The lighting was good, the bidet was nice and the TV was big (good for streaming). The shower is very good and modern.

This is NOT a luxury hotel or even a hotel. It’s a motel. I booked this place because of the excellent reviews, but I was misled. The sound isolation is AWFUL. You can hear every slam of the door from neighbors and every footstep. Terrible to get a good nights sleep. They have one TINY trash can in the room. Can’t even fit a water bottle inside. There are zero shelves. The safe is on the floor, for example. Paper cups for tea. No glasses. Have to readjust lighting and a/c every time you enter the room again. Pillows are terrible. It’s this weird silk texture. The remote on the TV isn’t good. The elevators are horrible. Only one is reliable. You wait a long time. There are no blackout shades, just cheap blinds. I wouldn’t stay here again

Excellent location!! Close to lots of shopping, food, entertainment, and transportation. The room was huge and had nice sister bathtub. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!!

Always my go-to hotel everytime I am in Seoul.

I didn't know there were 2 types of deluxe rooms. My first stay here I was on the 4th floor.. this has a bigger area compared to my most recent one on the 8th floor. Nevertheless, I am still satisfied with my stay. I would still go back. .

I have stayed at 9Brick before but had a different room type, this time my room was massive! Had so much space and was very comfortable and clean, not to mention a great location with so much going on right outside your doorstep. Super convenient for exploring Hongdae and only a few mins walk to the subway station. Would def stay again and recommend!

The bathroom was beautiful. Location was perfect for foodies.

The corridors were too dark. Room needs more lighting options.

For being a hotel that “cares about sustainability” you should have a water filling station instead of handing out water bottles. Toilet room would leak water from the shower.

The location of this hotel was perfect for me; it was near Hongdae shopping street and close to public transportation, but it was tucked back on a quiet side street. The room was spacious, beautiful, and clean (though they should clean the carpets), the bed was comfy, and I loved having a bathtub. It was just me, so I didn't mind the glass bathroom walls, but it would've been an issue if I'd had another person with me. It's privacy glass, so that's not a problem, but the light wakes me up if someone uses the bathroom at night.

Breakfast wasn't my favorite, so I only went the first couple of days and then got breakfast from one of the many cafes in the neighborhood the rest of the time. The hotel breakfast consisted of two choices: an American breakfast with eggs and sausage or a Korean option with beef soup. As I'm a vegetarian, neither option was ideal. There was also a small buffet with very limited choices (bread, a bit of fruit, cereal). Besides breakfast, I really enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again!

Carpet is a little outdated

Bad. Cannot adjust the room air con. It’s too dark at the corridors and lift with no lighting. No gym no pool service. The hotel staff doesn’t understand English very well. No next time.
