Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeongdong - Renovated in 2025

It was right in the heart of Myeongdong and I absolutely loved the convenience of being able to walk everywhere!

The bed wasn't great but I've experienced worse beds when traveling in Asia. I prefer a super plush soft bed and not on the firm side.

In the heart of Myeongdong, very convenient.

Room was quite small. Breakfast buffet had very little variety.

Location was excellent. Room was comfortable, Separate toilet room and shower room was great. Breakfast was nice.

Pillows could have been fuller.

Right smack in the middle of Myeongdong action (but no noise from below). Separate toilet from bathing area. Comfy beds (pillow is Japanese style which is a lot firm).

No direct car access so if raining, you’ll have to drag stuff across the street drenched. We messaged about this to staff ahead of confirming booking and they said they will assist in finding taxi etc. BUT as there is No bell service, on day of checkout the front desk went back on their word and said we have to figure out our way out for pick up by ourselves. We also had a sewage stench in shower which was rectified but shocking to experience.

Friendly and proficient staff, rooms well equipped also quiet and clean, excellent location and view

Due to very late booking the stay was pricey

The location is excellent, in the middle of Myeongdong with entrances on opposite sides of building. Not drivable but it’s a short walk to the Main Street to get a taxi/uber.

A complimentary lounge area with snacks & drinks would be an added bonus, like how a lot of Japan hotels offer.

Very convenient location right at the heart of Myeongdong. Staff are very helpful and went the extra mile to do an intensive search after i requested for them to let me know if they find my item during cleaning

Great cozy, not the biggest room a bit small but had all I need great toilet especially.

The size of the place.

Great location. Lots of activity outside your door. Easy access to subway.

Found lot of food in the breakfast always cold. Very heavy emphasis on Korean food?. Would probably skip and go down the street to the large coffee shop. Lots of Starbucks in Seoul.

Location; at the heart of Myeongdong. and accessible to other parts of Seoul via the subway. Additionally, the water pressure from the shower is excellent.

Very convenient from shopping to nearby attractions.

Very expensive rate in early check in. They rate per hour and for me is quite not fair price. It should only be an additional fee.

The hotel is right where Myeongdong Street is, and when you turn left to walk straight, you'll find yourself at the entrance of one of the subway station line.A near and nice walk to Namsam Tower. Amenities inside were abundance, and staff regularly place replacement of amenities on alternate days due to some sustainable practices ongoing in korea.High floor view is beautiful. Check in was fast & efficient- staff were kind and spoke english well. Hotel accomodated well to special request :)

Room was rather small & compact, enough to just walk around; suitable for tourists looking to just rest after a long day.For a 4-star hotel situated in the middle of myeongdong street, but with a small space to roam around, it is priced slightly higher.

Location is great. Accessible to shopping and restaurants. Staffs were bilingual and able to speak different languages. I feel warmth and welcomed.

Location of the hotel was a surprised as it’s opened right in the Myeongdong market, it’s very convenient for shopping or access to subways. The room was spacious for 2. It’s lovely decorated and had separated toilet room from bathroom. The lights and wall sockets were everywhere around the room. Chairs was soft and nice. Extremely clean and lovely view from windows of 10th floor and above.

The room’s sound proof was not very good. We could hear the neighbours’ opening and closing doors, or talkings at night. Taxi couldn’t access the hotel’s door so we must walk with luggage for about 350m from main streets.

Great location

Would have been nice to sit in a bar on the 20th floor at the end of the day and have a nice drink, but bar/restaurant closed at 3:00pm.
