Hotel New Oriental Myeongdong

Location, location, location.

Great location in myeoung-dong neighborhood, a quiet spot near a noisy, busy area.

Excellent location as it is right in the center of the city. It’s only a 5-minute walk to Myeongdong Street, and on the same row there is a McDonald’s and the famous Olive Young store.What I like most is the service — they help us store our bags both before check-in and after check-out, which is very convenient.

The bathroom is spacious, but there is no bidet pipe and no water drainage hole. If the toilet becomes dirty, we are unable to wash it ourselves and have to wait until the next day for housekeeping.

Location just 200 meters from exit 4 ,opposite shopping area so it more quite.

I preferred hair dryer that it not fixed in the bathroom.

location was great, but the AC were not good, we had to turn on and off the ac through the entire night. Our kids keep finding so much stuff under the bed. not clean

Location was magnificent, just cross the street and youre in the main Myeongdong area. Lots of convenience stores nearby (there’s a McDonalds nearby, if that’s a must for your kids) Airport limo bus stop is very near. Subway stop is near as well

No food available, no inhouse restaurant for breakfast, which was okay for us.We got the family room for a family of 5, we were given 4 peoples, and every night we kept asking for an extra pillow, we were told there weren’t any available for the 6 nights we stayedThe bathroom had a pee-stench when we arrived (think gas station restroom), the next day we asked for it to be cleaned, and we asked every single day, but the smell was really just there the whole time, so we got air fresheners and room scents to cover it up, which worked

The Location is near to a N’Seoul tower,it has a beautiful view at the rooftop (N’Seoul tower) ,train station,convenient store,myeongdong under ground mall,street food market, daiso,olive young, Lotte. .it was a nice place to stay

Everything was clean, amenities were good especially card laundry on the roof. Hotel staff was accommodating and friendly.

Elevator and hallway smelled very strongly

Clean. Good location. Right across myeongdong night market. I was able to stock up on all kinds of sweets, dump them in my room and continue shopping. LOL. A convenient store, pharmacy, McDonald’s, and myeongdong station exit 4 are all located within a walking distance in a straight line. HOWW coffee shop is right next door. They offer a 15% discount to guests. Amazing for a good and quick coffee in the morning before rushing to planned tours.

The room is clean and the location is good. It is along the main road opposite the Myeongdong streets. It is very convenient to walk back to the hotel to put our stuffs when we have too many shopping bags to carry.

Overall, our stay at the hotel was pleasant, but we encountered some issues on the day of our departure. The only elevator in the building broke down, which was especially frustrating given our earlier decision to switch accommodations. We had initially booked a guesthouse before our trip but had to forgo it due to the steep stairs, which made it difficult to carry our luggage—even before we added shopping items.We chose to move to New Oriental Hotel for the next four days specifically because it had an elevator. Unfortunately, on the day we checked out, the elevator was out of service. We had a total of five pieces of luggage (two extra-large, one medium, one cabin-size, and two hand-carry bags). Although one male staff member kindly ran up to the 7th floor to help with two bags (one XL and one medium), I had to carry one large suitcase and a hand-carry bag down all seven flights of stairs myself.The physical strain was significant—I ended up needing painkillers due to muscle overexertion in my arm after returning home.Hotel should look into this matter as there should have alternate cargo lift should the main lift is down.

Great location to trains buses and activities

Everything ! It was a very confortable and clean room. The hotel is perfectly located in Myeondong. I would definitely go there agaib if I'm in Seoul.

The location was perfect. Close to the subway station and shops and restaurants.

Couldn't find the restaurant

The location is excellent.. close almost to everything.. even the far places you can get there easily with public transportation.. the room is nice and very clean

The room is a bit small and the staff didn't speak english well but we arranged to communicate.. also it took them 3 days to bring me an iron for the clothes ( witch i needed for real)

Very well located, close to the Myeongdong metro and shopping area. Comfy bed and clean. Room was spacious enough.

This is in an excellent location. Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Great to be able to do laundry onsite. We were very happy with our stay. Everything was great and the front desk staff were excellent. Definitely recommend and plan to stay here again when I return to Seoul.

No additional amenities but everything is within a short distance so it was not an issue.
