Summit Hotel Seoul Dongdaemun

Location is convenient, between two subway lines.

Staff at reception does not have good English comprehension and caused some issues with our request to switch from a room for 4 to two rooms for 2 each. Switch was never made to avoid further confusion.

Breakfast is fine.

Bathroom faucet spout too short. Water splash on counter each time when faucet was open.

Location was good. Did not have breakfast at the hotel.

Hotel is a bit old and needs maintenance. Shower handle kept tilting upward causing the water to spray all over the floor. Towels were old, thin, and shredded on the edges. Bedsheets were never changed and we were there for 5 days. Beds were super uncomfortable as I felt the springs against my body.

fitness room was small & not well equipped. Room not so quiet (noise of street and right next to elevator so noise from guests), but I wore earplugs so it was ok.

The front desk people were informative and nice. I also loved how the convenience store was connected.

Decent stay but not the best location in hindsight. The staff were not very welcoming compared to the other places I visited in South Korea.

Lack of concierge services altogether.

The staff was very friendly and it was easy to bypass the language barrier as they even had a translator on the front desk. They were there for everything, if we needed change for the washing machine (They had a washing machine by the way) or any basic information, they were on it. Room was immaculate every day, thanks to the cleaning staff.This particular hotel is also central to a lot of the tourist-y things we wanted to do, a block or so away from the subway station.

We could've stayed longer.

The room is clean. The price is reasonable. The staff is very friendly. The location of the hotel is close to Dongdaemun Design Plaza in which we can easily find foods (just around 5-6 minutes by walking).

Clean and compact. It’s not too small and nice size for 2 people.

Little bit far from downtown. But it’s not too bad.It was raining so we were little lazy to walking to the shopping area at the night.

•Bus stop right in front of the hotel, the bus will take you FROM and TO the airport (same bus stop, because no one mentioned it in reviews) which is great • Staff really friendly and nice, they always tried their best to be accommodating • Room always clean, the cleaning lady always cared and asked us, if we need anything even though we didn’t ask to clean the room that day • Perfect location, metro lines really close (lines 2,4,5) and (line 3) the opposite direction • There is a lot of great and tasty restaurants near the hotel (Dochi pizza highly recommended) • Another big plus, in hotel they have convenience store, which was really helpful and it was open for long time We would definitely come back

Nothing big to complain about.Maybe, the walls are a bit thinner, so we heard the snoring. Also in my opinion, it would be better if the receptionists, knew English a little better.

Comfortable and clean room, conveniently situated near the metro. Helpful staff.

I had a room near the elevators with very noisy air circulation.

An overall pleasant experience, great location, nice room for one person who is not spending too much time there. Super clean with cleaning personnel changing towels and sheets every day. Good A/C which was a godsent during the heat wave. English speaking receptionists always ready to help.

With mugs and kettle in the room, one would expect teaspoons, too. Rather weird not to provide them. Or other cutlery.

Room was more spacious than I thought. location is good, right next to main metro stations (lines)

I liked that it was close to Jeoncheol Station, with nice restaurants and shops nearby, and most of all, it felt safe.

There was quite a bit of squeaky spring noise from the bed, and the room I stayed in, Room 701, had a rather small window — which was a bit disappointing.

Convenient location near different train lines. It had a G4S store inside the hotel and airport bus outside. Near a lot if shopping places like Dundun, Doota, Mimiline, and NYUNYU.

Only two washer/dryers and you have to buy the laundry detergent. Hotel is a little outdated.

Nice rooms, good size.

Toilet was not functioning properly.

The location was pretty good for my friend and I. Usually a 5-10 minute walk to either subway station or bus stop (if you are less mobile this might be a problem for you). DDP was pretty central to all our activities so I really enjoyed staying here! It was also nice that there was a GS25 directly attached to the hotel so it was easy to get small snacks right downstairs!

There is only one washer and dryer for the entire hotel so you have to time your washes accordingly but other than that I had a pleasant stay.
