Amare Hotel Jongno

Hotel was incredibly modern and clean. Hallways looked futuristic and the entryway into the room with curtesy slippers were a nice touch. The price was incredibly reasonable and exceeded the value.

No privacy at all for the toilet room. You could see (blurred out) and hear everything.

The room was large and spacious for 3 people.

We stayed for 5 days and breakfast was the same everyday. Not a lot of choices.

Being that I have problems with walking, going to the breakfast room was very challenging. I would ave been nice o\if they had an elevator.

The cleaning staff threw out the container for my husband/s medication along with a special plastic spoon that I had just purchased. The front desk said that the bottle was empty so they threw it out. It was not in the trash can but on the side to be refilled with the powder dedication to the bottles level. The spoon was a special sized spoon to indicate how much power to put in the bottle.

The location is very convenient and accessible because the bus stops and subway stations are near. The breakfast was simple and light. The staff were accommodating.

I booked their family room for 4 nights and they exceed my expectation, being 3 star hotel. The facilities provided are superb. The breakfast was ok, but it did not mater much to me cause we went out earlier than the breakfast most of the time. Hotel is near to the subway station, and local eatery. Plus point, it was near to the most seoul attractions too.

More variety at breakfast

The location was great and very convenient to explore Seoul. Jongno district is full of restaurants and shops and there were countless dining and drinking options in the neighborhood. There were also a couple of convenience stores nearby for everyday shopping. The staff was helpful and attentive to our requests. They also allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel lobby after checking out, before our flight back the same night. That was great!

The room was VERY hot all the time. There is a panel on the wall to control the temperature but it wasn't working and neither was the A/C remote control. We asked at the reception to lower the temperature as it was unbearably hot at nights and they just told us to use the remote control, a solution we already tried. We had to keep a window open at night to be able to sleep without sweating. The breakfast buffet was also very small and the same every day. We'd appreciate some variety.

It’s spacious and clean. The floors are heated and it’s very close to the metro station. They give you unlimited free water bottles

It is located in this small alleyway in the middle of a lot of bars,karaokes, and motels so it gets a little rowdy at night outside. The facility is a little outdated and slightly old but not bad. The bathroom doors are frosted glass so keep that in mind

The hotel is located in the perfect place in Seoul. Easy access to subway, stores and restaurants, walking distance from historical and cultural landmarks. My second time staying here and I definitely plan on coming back

Great location. Only 6min walk from multiple train entrances/ exits and in an area with great food and access to stores.

The breakfast offered day to day didn’t change. Some variety would have been nice but at least the breakfast they provided was always well made!

Location and price

The luggage holding space was out in the lobby for access by anyone. This may be customary for the area but we did not feel comfortable leaving our luggage there.

1. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION: The hotel was in the heart of Jongno 3-ga with lots of affordable restaurants and street food stalls. It's also walking distance to the pocha street. There are convenience stores nearby. Worth noting is it's very near Tapgol Park.2. Room Size and Amenities: The hotel room was huge compared to others of the same price in Seoul. The toilet, shower room, bathtub, and sink have separate compartments so a family can do their business in parallel. The TV was also HUGE and is a smart TV so it has Netflix, YouTube, etc. The amenities are also complete like refrigerator, Japanese-style high-tech toilet bidet, hair dryer, face and body lotion, and more. Worth noting is our room has a sofa and table to eat takeout meals. It's also fascinating how they have like three hair combs and brushes.3. Staff: The front-desk staff were good at English and they were also quick and helpful in solving an issue we encountered.4. Transportation: The hotel is 3-5 min walking distance to bus stops and subway stations and 15-min walking distance from an airport bus stop. It was easy to go to and from Myeongdong and the palaces.5. Breakfast: For this price including breakfast, it was hard to beat.

We'd love more selections to the breakfast like soup, rice, and more proteins like chicken or fish. The breakfast area can also improve from having a bigger area and more tables especially when the hotel is fully booked.

Large room and bathroom with separate bathtub. Roof deck was also a nice amenity.

5 minute walk to subway, 20 minute walk to Lotte shopping mall, a good amount of restaurants in the area. Room was large , plenty of space

A little difficult to locate, down an alleyway. Recommend downloading NAVER map app since google maps doesn’t work well in Korea.

The room was a dark due to location.

I loved how spacious and clean the rooms were, especially all of the amenities included in the rooms were great as well. Cleaning was provided which was very nice and super close to the bus station/train station!

I enjoyed everything, I never got to try their breakfast because it was usually pretty packed.
