Stanford Hotel Myeongdong

The location is right across from Lotte shopping mall, very close to the train station, and Myeongdong food/shopping street. The staff were also very nice and greeted me every day.

The standard double room was smaller than I thought however, still good for a single person. It is a shared building, so you have to take two different elevators.

Lovation is superb

The front office staff... is not well trained We book 2 rooms they give 4 keys.. but when check out i lost one key... supposed i left in the room and we are such hurry to airport and the insist us to go back to the room and find it.. it make us lost some times... until i said if you have bill me please do because no way i find it and they kept insist until i get angry because it cost me sometime and i am afraid of missed my plane home then they accept it... i think the need to train the reception staff moreBut differently the restaurant staff was nice we enjoyed breakfast very well even on jan 3 evening we bought fruit and need knife to peel it we try to borrow but the staff said they are not allowed to lend knife but she will peel it for us...That is wonderful gesture to help guest... bravo to her... but I forgot her name... i thank her so much

The location was perfect, you are in the middle of Myeongyong where especially in the evening it's very lively with the food market. There are many restaurants and stores nearby. The price is reasonable for the stores/restaurants. You're also walking distance away from Seoul Tower, Namdaemun and many other nice areas to explore. There is a busstop right in front of the building and a subway just 1 minute away which is connected to the Inner City Line, which takes you to all the other areas to explore. Besides that, the bathroom was comfortably spaced, and there was enough space to store luggage and other items. We chose two separate beds, which were comfortable beds, both in size and in softness.

The breakfast could have been a bit better, but was nice to have, as breakfast options around the hotel are limited/non-existent. There were lots of different foods, but not all breakfast or suitable for a breakfast (like fries or lettuce without other salad components). I would have liked to see more bread options and more variations of eggs/meat/veggies.

Everything, staff, location and room

This hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of amenities. There was a bidet in the bathroom, it smelled really nice, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Rooms are on the small side. I was only traveling with a small backpack. If I had a large bag or another person to share the room with it would have been cramped.

the staff at reception needs to better English to converse with visitors. We had 2 issues in understanding what is included or excluded in our hotel booking

Location location location is the main attraction to this hotel. The rooms are small comparing to the price (we booked 2 rooms: standard and family rooms).The breakfast choice and volumes are quite stingy.

Breakfast is not much varieties plus the volumes put on the buffet are quite stingy and not generous.The ladies at reception need to be more polite in serving the customers.

Central location, close to Metro and public transportation. Love love the bed (firm but comfortable) and beddings; I usually need 1-2 night getting used to/comfortable in hotel bed but not this time. I had a great sleep the first night.

Allergy suffers need to be aware that rooms can get dusty. Need to request room with air purifier.

- location - door/wall sound proofing are good but not so much for windows

- temperature is centrally controlled - there's a "remote control" but it doesn't do anything- inflexible cleaning time. I kindly asked the cleaner to come back later but she said she can't because she's on a tight schedule - front desk reception is careless and not thoughtful - pick up/drop off point extremely hard to get to for drivers as you have to weave through small and busy streets- pillows are too flat and small

It’s is in the heart of Myeongdong. Right above the Apple Store. Next to subway station. The staff are friendly and efficient

The room is a bit too small

Convenient location near to subway station and near to eateries and shops. Check-in procedure is easy and it doesn't take much time. Room is clean and cozy. My family love to stay at this hotel. Will stay at this hotel again if I return to Seoul.

1.They are not provide the invoice which I ask in advance via booking.com2. The room is too small for the price 3. Staffs not explain anything clear enough if it's your 1st time make sure to ask them first as much as you can

Good location while still quiet and modern.

Room was slightly crowded, beds were small. Breakfast was not impressive.

Location was unbeatable!! Restaurants, convenience stores, shops, just a stone’s throw away

First is location. It is very close to many restaurants, shops, convenience stores and to subway stations. The airport limousine bus stop (bus 6015) is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Second is the room. It is very clean. It may be quite small but comfortable enough. What I like most about it are the big windows which allow light and sunshine to come in. There is a good view of the city. Third, breakfast. There is a good spread and the quality is good.

The hotel was very clean and close to everything. The room was comfortable, and it was great that the Apple Store was right on the first floor.
