Lotte City Hotel Mapo

Typical 5-Star Lotte Hotel Experience. First time at the Lotte City Hotel Mapo because I needed to be in Mapo area for business. Great Location in the heart of the Mapo District right above the Gongdeok Station. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Location is really good to access all nice restaurants. Nice swimming pool.

They charged the cost as Korean won insted of dollars. It can change the charge. And they didn't inform me about deposite which is charged together with room reservation and make it hard to refund. This should be fixed.

Very friendly staff & good location (close to airport shuttle and Seoul Metro. Comfortable, very quiet hotel.

Room was very nuce

We got in late and the front desk put in a food order in to a local restaurant which was nice. We got twice as much food as we thought we ordered. Not a big deal and there could have been something lost on translation.

The hotel was clean and had a comfortable bed. It was conveniently located near the subway station.

Room temperature control did not work well. It was hard to cool down the room. The fitness could been better.

The hotel is really well located with Gongdeok station ! You can easily reach important places in Seoul. The room was super comfortable and clean, with a great view on the roads around. The place was also super quiet and pleasant

Not ideal for first-time travelers. The location lacks charm, and getting around requires taking the subway everywhere, which could be a hassle for someone unfamiliar with the area. Communication with the staff was a bit challenging, and the hotel is located in a mixed-use building with the lobby not on the first floor, which felt a bit odd. On the plus side, there’s a supermarket on the ground floor, which is convenient. Overall, the experience was quite basic and wouldn’t be my first recommendation for newcomers,

Frankly speaking, I am leaving in Seoul at Mapo while past three years and Company office is located in same building as well, so for me hotel location is very convenient. I was used the hotel couple of times before, when my family visit Seoul. Direct airport railroad station and airport limousine bus stop is nearby to hotel, which is very convenient, Seoul station is in one stop by metro or about half an hour by walk. Myeong-dong / Gwanghwamun areas in few stops by metro.

Hotel interiors are getting "tired". I mean, Hotel condition is getting worse year to year. Afraid current room rates are a bit high for such quality. Just due to a lot of tourist coming to Seoul after covid- 19 and shortage of hotels support keep such rates level (as for some other hotels as well). Seems visa free turnover with China will not change the situation in nearest future. But hope Lotte will take care for renovation.

This is a large Korean chain hotel so the check in was easy and luggage storage was available in a secure spot. It is right on top of a metro station which is convenient. The rooms were medium sized and the bed was comfortable. It was clean as well and the bathroom had a good counter space.

The location is perhaps not fantastic as there is not much in the area, but the metro is right there. Seoul is so big that it takes awhile to get around - 30 minutes to Gangham and Hongdae from here - but it is just one stop from the main station on the express train which was easy for getting to the airport. The rooms could use a bit of updating and it was the most expensive hotel we stayed in Korea.

Generally good experience except for breakfast provision

1. Breakfast spread could have been better given the daily room rate which is not low. 2. Around hotel not much shopping can be done.

Location was central, close to public transport. Just off the Airport Railway and there were plenty of amenities around.

Entertainment was limited so didn't get to watch tv. All in local language.
