Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae

Nice room

Staff at desk, so friendly & helpful.

Terrible breakfast & not restocked.

Best Location, great staff, stored our luggage and gave us a room upgrade upon arrival , we are returning to stay there again in two days

A fantastic hotel that is in the heart of Hongdae, making getting around Seoul a breeze whilst having a convenient home base for exploration. The staff are exceptionally nice and the hotel is clean and well-kept. The rooms themselves are quite spacious, and the access to a laundry room was a major plus to keep my packing small coming in.

The only minor thing that I'd call out is that the elevators are staggered, meaning you have one to get from main floor to lobby, then another to the rooms. It's a touch annoying, especially if you need to do laundry, which is using the second set of elevators.

Overall was a great hotel the location was perfect close to the train station many places to eat. Very happy with this hotel.

Friendly staff and very clean

Sometimes the drains next to toilet smelled like sewer.

Everything feels new, excellent service, great bed, great location

The room's size is relatively small, and its layout is strange

Clean, comfortable, great location with great easy access to public transportation.

Hall way not will lit enough.

The location of the property is perfect. There are many shops, restaurants, bars and clubs super close by.

great location right in the middle of Hongdae, short walk from the train station.

Location, room and facilities in the room.

It will be better if you have streaming tv service.

Loved the location and room size relative to what I hear other hotel rooms can be in Seoul. Lovely staff.

Slight smell upon entry - I think left over from the restaurant in the evenings. And it’d be nice to have updated smart tv options in the hotel.

Location and the staff very helpful.

The bed too soft. I think need new mattress.

Close to Hongdae station with lots of restaurants and shops around the area. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, kind, and caring. They provide welcome drinks (water, sprite, and coca cola)

Overall atmosphere is good especially staff and location.

I dont like layout of the room. Because when I dress up after shower, I have to stand outside and have to light up, so the light and sound will disturb another one who still sleep. And one more the space of the room is not enough. It cannt open the lugguge for 2 persons.

Great location, early checking in, nice staff, comfy bed and sufficient pillow, adjacent room with friend’s upon requested.

The intense perfume used in the lobby area is very strong let alone the choice of perfume

The property was clean and the location relative to my itinerary was excellent. Also, the staff was friendly and did their best to assist me when needed despite our differences in language.

There's not much I didn't like about the property. Anything I comment would be nitpicking.

We got to check in early, which was a pleasant surprise for us. The staff spoke English well, which made things easier (after coming from Sokcho). The sink, toilet and shower areas were all separated, which we appreciated. Overall, room was very comfortable and location was great.

There was some loud sound coming from the shower drain the first night, which startled us from our sleep. We called for help, but there was no more sound by the time the maintenance guy came, and he explained it was due to water pressure. The sound came back again the second night, but we let it be until it went away. In hindsight, we should have requested to change rooms. The remote for the toilet bidet functions also didn't seem to be working very well...

Location was perfect for enjoying nightlife in Hongdae. Staff were very awesome and were very helpful in making sure we were taken care of. I will absolutely be staying anytime I want to visit Seoul. Highly recommend.

You can’t beat the location. All the shops, restaurants, train stations are within a short walking distance. Their comfortable bed and blackout curtains made for a restful stay. Shower was clean. Staff were friendly. Checkin and checkout process was very quick and easy. There is also a small gym with a couple treadmills and dumbbells. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the future.

Coffee was good. Breakfast was just okay.
