Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Xujiahui

Location

I was shocked, the hotel charged me again at the check in, after I paid in full when I booked earlier!

Booked room with different description.

Location, the updated room is nice

Breakfast can be better in terms of quality and variety

Breakfast was good, lots of choice and no rush to finish as plenty of tables. Staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were wonderful and the room was always clean and well stocked with necessities. Staff in the Executive lounge were attentive and friendly, I was impressed that they knew my preferences within a few days.

Clean, smells nice. Closed to Metro and Malls.

The location is good 5mins walk to the nearest subway and surrounded by shopping mall

The room is dark and old, tv is super small. Toiletries given is only a bar of handsoap , shower cap. I guess toothbrush will be given when asked

The location is wonderful, central but quiet in Xujiahui with its multitude of dining options and several subway lines. The hotel was not too busy.

The room separations were not too solid, it was easy to overhear the neighbors.

Location, decent stay. Great breakfast.

Old

Relatively close to the train station

We had to change bedrooms because the first bedroom had a very strong cigarette smell, and the hotel in general felt like an old building

The location

The customer service- one of the worst, unpleasant people. I am sure if I was white then they would have behaved well. I went to Beijing and stayed at the Legendale. They were so attentive and worked with a smile.

great breakfast buffetlounge is greatstaff is nice

You can hear a lot of noises from corridors or next door roomI got a room which was connected to another one: as a consequence, I could here my neighbour's TV and conversation, and cigarette smoke was infiltrating in my room. I did not make the staff aware as in the middle of the night but quite disappointing for this kind of hotel.

24/7 sport room,

maybe too much of the same food at the buffet every day?Very instable wifi.In the meeting, the microphones were badly functioning and cracking a lot. I suggest some investment in new mics or a technician for support.

The location is perfect . You could able to eat different and delicious foods in breakfast. The stuff is very friendly.

The room is getting older and I can feel a strange smell inside the room.

Located at the center of cityStaff at the concierge & at the executive lounge provide great service

WiFi in room doesn’t work Outlet in room doesn’t work

Located in the heart of Xujiahui, it seems to have it all: 3 subway lines at 100m, and nearby highways connecting to the airports. Green parks and plenty of F&B options, as well as malls for clothes, electronics, luxury goods, supermarkets: all within walking distance from this hotel. A great place to start discovering or to rediscover the city... or just doing business, in the lounge, top floor with views.

Location was good and makes it easily accessible to main transport network of the city.Beds were comfortable and spacious and stationary was provided in the drawers.Fresh towels and cleaning service came like clockwork.

Staff seemed quite on edge to help myself and my partner.Breakfast was incredibly disappointing - I paid additionally though it listed on the site for two breakfasts, not worth it at all.Room AC was stuffy, damage to the wall corners and the bathroom was old. Shower curtain was not effective. I was given an 'upgrade' which put me right next two a family who were incredibly noisy and could hear them through the walls till midnight.

The staff was freindly.

Although staff was friendly, but not professional, they messed up the room card, which first cause us cannot get on to the floor where we live and then which caused us cannot use the card for breakfast buffet. Although it finally gets resolved, but it did create so much inconvenience.

Location - perfect. I booked this place as it was walking distance to the offices I needed to get to and it didn't disappoint. An easy walk there, and a great location to other amenities. The lounge was quite the bonus as well. A nice way to chill after work without worrying about where to go for dinner and wrapping up with drinks as well. A good way to meet other travelling workers at the same time.

The experience at the pool was not very nice. While I understand why the revised pool opening times, having 2 guys there watching me while I swim was a weird experience. When it wasn't even a large area....

Excellent water pressure. Comfortable bed. Great cleaning staff.

They overcharged me over 100 usd. Hidden fees apparently, not what is advertised on booking.com

Excellent location. Near to malls and metro station. As XuJiaHui is a metro exchange station, was able to take the metro to almost all the places that i visited. Many cafes and restaurants within walking distance.Room was spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable.
