Campanile Hotel - Shanghai Jing'an Temple

I have stayed here a number of times, and I’ve never been disappointed. Friendly staff, modern rooms, and a good breakfast. This time in particular I appreciated the services of the sales manager Mark, who helped me print forms I needed for the consulate.

The hotel was clean and the staff was great. It's close to restaurants and cafes and the jing. An temple of course. I would like to especially thank David from the night shift for his above and beyond service and help.

No smoking rooms ?

Helpful staff, good breakfast, quiet room, metro station was close, fast wifi. They can even prepare meals on demand, decent price.

Though overall everything was good and the staff was always ready to help, the cleanliness could be improved with little effort (rooms also need some fixtures, see the shower ...)

Bed was comfortable.Good breakfast selection - European and Chinese varieties.Reception staff on checkout were very helpful and pleasant.Location was convenient, close to metro station.

Room is dated and small.We requested 2 more packets of instant coffee from the housekeeping staff and this was declined, which was a huge surprise for such basic amenities!! We were told only 2 packets were provided each day.

It needs desperately a renovation, facilities are worn out, air conditioning smells. This brand has some other new hotels in different cities, they are much better and much comfortable.

Great location , staff helpful , breakfast good but could be hotter.They need to keep up the cleaning and Maintance or the hotel will slip into being grubby

Great location, short walk or cycle to Jing’an Temple. Very clean and comfortable. Bicycles outside to rent and short walk to bars, restaurants, cafes and supermarket. Recommend

NIce small French style hotel in a good location. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast.

The windows are not propeerly isolated and you hear noices from the close highway...

The room design was friendly, the location was good.

Too many "high-tech" gimmicks that don't work: robot room service that i bumped into twice, tv that switches itself on automatically when you open the door (waking up the other person in the bed), lights switching on automatically when you go to the bathroom at night (again, waking up the other person in the bed). The cleaning service was my biggest problem: shabby carpeted corridors that had strong "quarantine hotel" vibes and, inside the room, dirty walls, sticky spots in the desk, UNFLUSHED TOILET when i arrived... that s really not ok.

My room was SO HOT that I could not sleep.I could not control the temperature in my room.They told me there is no cool air in the building and to open a window.It did not help. I checked out early.This was in March.

Well, actually the cleaning ladies are friendly and do their job very well

As booking the room I especially checked that the hotel says "air condition" and "sound proof. Airr condition does not exist. If your room is too hot, simply open the window. And in the morning also the inside has small puddles of water. - Soundproof. You may listen as the neighbour room talks. Or sits on the toilet. Sad, that the personell have not really understood how much impact they have on the hotel. My review could be much nicer if they even would try. The language barrier does not explain everything

The rooms are spacious for shanghai

The hotel facilities are really run down and it is overall very dirty. If we didnt arrive super late at night we would have asked to change the hotel.

Location was good ,close to Metro Station and jing'an temple. Breakfast was ok with different options.

The walls need immediate renovation. It's also strange that there isn't proper door that separates the bedroom and the bathroom.

Good value for money in the heart of Jing An, 5mins walk to the exit 12 of Jing An station. The room was comfy & spacious and very warm in the winter time. The breakfast was very nice and there were lots of different choices!

The staff seemed quite serious at times, maybe more smiles would create a more welcoming atmosphere.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable with a variety of soft and hard pillow to suit different preferences. Staff is extremely polite and available for requests. The breakfast was good and they provided free water at request. The location is extremely convenient for subway transport, ample choice of restaurants including vegan options by the Jing'an temple.

The desk is rather small and may not be big enough for working with a laptop. The windows do not completely block the traffic noise and being it right between two high streets if you are sensitive to car noise this may affect you (or you may need earplugs).
