customer service is not good and front deck really bad. When you try to ckeck in to hotel but people were keep cutting in front of me and hotel people were not stop then eighter? I'm going to look for different hotel next time.

Comfortable and relaxed

The hotel is just near the metro station, and it is clean. The view from the room was amazing.

We arrived around 9 AM from the airport, and hotels usually check if they have a room in advance. They did not even check my reservation to see if anything was available, just said check-in is at 1 PM. Honestly, I was very disappointed with the very bad attitude of the receptionists and how they handle their clients. The breakfast is ok, but not so many Western options.

Attention to detail. My stay happened to be on my birthday and the staff were kind enough to leave a surprise birthday cake and card for me to find when I returned.

We had a room with city view full of skyscrapers on 26th floor. We loved it

Cleanliness, the room is very old, the carpet and wall were full of stains. The room is too dark.

Location, clean, style and facilities

Value was okay, received an upgrade, nice view from the room, bed was comfortable.

Very dated rooms, lots of wear and tear, old amenities, fingerprints on windows, old and loud AC that blows directly onto you when you sleep, even at the lowest setting, slow internet, doesn't feel 5-star worthy.

Location besides a train station with 2 transfers. Okay walking distance to a few malls. Staff was very friendly and appreciated their help with many matters as it was my first time back to China in a decade.

You can clearly tell it’s age in some of the areas. Carpet was worn and the furniture was clearly older.

Brilliant location in terms of both connectivity (directly next to metro) and things to do aroubd, breathtaking view from the window of Shanghai skyline, amazing breakfast, extremely friendly and accommodating staff and lovely ambiance.

I wish they had cheese at the breakfast too.

The first room they have us was dirty and I had to ask for a room swap.

The room was quite spacious and the bed was comfy. We were on a high floor and had a good view. Excellent included buffet breakfast with a large selection of items. The location was also excellent as it is right next to a metro station.

The was a stench coming from the bathroom, most likely from the drains. The staff could only temporarily mask the smell with a spray. The air cond was not adjustable and felt a bit warm at times.

Great location. You can tell it was a top hotel 20 years ago, but it’s in need of a major renovation. Still, given the price, it’s a solid choice.

Really nice hotel super close to the metro, you can even walk to the central area of Shanghai, really close to the hotel you have all you need just in case, the room was spacious and had an amazing view.The hotel is very silent even if it’s on a busy street

Loved almost everything of the Eton Hotel Shanghai, including the size of the room (looks like I got a free upgrade) and its strategic location (very close to small stores and a metro station). Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous to meet all our needs. Will definitely stay here again if I happen to visit Shanghai in the future

The Eton Hotel Shanghai could have provided more food options on the breakfast, especially the Asian buffet options (more cooked proteins). But overall, breakfast already met the least required standard
