Novotel Shanghai Hongqiao

Breakfast quality is very good, so many varieties for vegetarian also, staff is very good and cooperative.you can add Indian snacks also in breakfast.

bed and pillow was like home.next to swedish mall with lots of restaurants and international and local brands.

there was a strange pilar in the room. it took up a big space and i was worried i would accidentally walk into it and hit my head!

Good location with a newly opened mall nearby. Room is spacious. Enjoyed the robot delivery for food orders

check-in was delayed—arrived after 1 PM but still waited 30 minutes for the room. The front desk promised an upgrade to executive level, but it didn’t happen. The cleaning team was way too loud every morning after 8am, really hard to sleep for someone with the time difference and had to sleep in.

The room size was good. They did give me a room close to the lift lobby per my request. Staff were, in general, very helpful and friendly.

The room was spacious, and the buffet breakfast had a good variety of food. Cleaning staff was very attentive as she found the novel I left in the room's toilet.

I was assigned to a room far from the lift lobby, though I requested one nearer to the elevators. The hotel is not very convenient for shopping.

Nice location closeby river. Rooms location on high floors so a nice view.

Great location with new shopping centre next door. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

The cleaning team started working around 730 everyday, I can hear them talking loudly due to the poor sound proof.

Great location for shopping eating and taking the subway. Food delivery is done by the robot which is quite convenient. The room is spacious with a seperate living room and bedroom.

The staff at reception and the doormen are friendly and very helpful when ordering the taxi.

the spa is not working!! the pool was cold, the rooms were hot, the air conditioning was turned off

Room has a smell of cigarette; part of the lounge area near the reception is not allowed for people to sit unless you buy food or drinks

We had 3 rooms. Heating system had problem. Rooms were cold. Safe box didn’t work. Breakfast was disappointing.

The only okay thing was its close to the airport!

Seemed like they are using the name Novotel but any anywhere close to the services, staff, cleanliness or even food us up to the standards and the price they have charged is way higher side

The location of the hotel is not great. Not in the walking distance to Hongqiao airport. Takes 16 minute walk to Songhong metro station. A construction site next door. If you follow the sign of entrance, you will come to a blocked gate to the construction site. You have to walk around figure out your own way in and walk inside all the way back to the other side. It is completely a joke. The facility is not great as a 4 star hotel.

Very good hotel, neat & clean, good breakfast and staff is very accommodating.. but..

Unfortunately I don’t speak Mandarin or Kantonese so not easy to communicate in English.. but it works eventually with some repeating. Bar closed irregular time and when we did want to sit have a drink before turning in it was closed and it was not late. Also the pool was closed during our stay.

Although not central, it’s still close to a metro station and directly connected to both airports

Air conditioning ist rather loud

Staff was freindly and helpful. Arrived early and was given early checkin to rest after an overnight flight.
