Holiday Inn Shanghai Huaxia By IHG

Locaton , Breakfast , comfortable , and Clean

WiFi very slow.AC didn't work at all

Very good hotel. Nice and clean. Location is not central but you are close to a metro station to access the main attraction points in a short time. The view from the restaurant are is great.

Bathroom is essentially in the bedroom with some sliding mirror panel to isolate it. It is not a problem if you are travelling alone but it can become problematic for couple or friends travelling together.

Close to a lot of stores and Metro station.

From previous 11 days stay at same hotel weeks before. The room was very small this time around.

Hotel is close to metro station and a lot of stores. Good services from front desk to housekeeping. Free washer and dryer for extended stay.

The room! The size of room. The bed and cushion. The desk with the chair! Very comfy

A little bit too thin walls, to much noise sometimes outside the room

It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The housekeeping staffs were really nice too, I was in the room when she knocked the door, and I allowed her to come in for a quick round of housekeeping. The laundry was 24 hours and it was great for traveller like me. In addition, it's near to all the necessities - metro station, eateries, convenient stores.

Everything was fine during my stay.

location was good. rooms were clean and looked modern.

the air conditioning doesn’t work at night. not just my room but the entire hotel. to be more specific, the air conditioning does not provide cool air after 9pm. only warm air. unable to maintain a cooler temperature than 25 or 26 degrees celsius. i slept very badly the first night because it was too warm. the only way to maintain a temperature of 23 or 24 degrees celsius is to open the 2 windows, prop up the curtain with the sofa to allow airflow from windows into the room (without allowing light in) and to ask the hotel to provide a portable standing fan. this is the first time i had to do something like this to maintain a temperature of 23 to 24 degrees celsius in a hotel. i feel quite upset. also the power plugs don’t accept the slanted 2 pin plugs. you need the 3 pin version. so i had to ask reception to provide 2 adapters. of which 1 was spoilt. when i asked to replace the spoilt one, the reception said no more without even checking. i had to find the housekeeping lady and ask her for a replacement adapter which she found. obviously the receptionist couldn’t be bothered. also no tea spoons and the water temperature continuously alternates from very hot to lukewarm.
