Location is okay. But I feel there are tones of other options within the city limit

I would say staff and room. Staffs hospitality and language. Room is very tiny probably it’s Shanghai. I feel there are other valuable properties where staff and room is more enjoyable.

Excellent facilities in a beautiful estate/garden with some extremely stately trees; we had a wonderful stay.

Location, staff, bed, nice rooms.

The rooms are very comfortable and specious. Also the location is pretty good!

A bit far from the subway. Also there was an issue with the toilet drains, but they foxed it quickly. The rooms facing the city side are a bit loud.

Gorgeous property in a great location. Staff was incredibly patient and kind. They went out of their way to find some packages my aunt had sent me without a room number on them. The complimentary juice and wontons were delicious! Housekeeping was lovely too.

In the heart of the french concession, what a bucolique environment. Good welcome, superb rooms. Will definitely come back.

you need to prevent car parking opposite or near the lobby of the hotel.

Attentiveness of the staff, ambiance and location

We stayed in a Business Class room and liked it — super clean and spacious. The room even had a hot tub, which was a nice surprise! Breakfast was great too, with lots of variety, fresh-squeezed juice, and tasty dishes made by the chefs. The surrounding garden was beautiful, and getting around from the hotel was super easy and affordable by taxi (we used the DiDi app). The entire staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The hotel also has a gym, a spotless sauna, and a nice swimming pool — all really well-maintained.

It would’ve been nice if the fresh juice had been available throughout the whole breakfast time.

Unfortunately was unable to do any work during my stay as the WiFi did not allow me to either access my mail or do any of my zoom calls. Had to use my mobile and data roaming to get somethings done - at an expense of course! If you plan to visit Shanghai for work you are wellk advised to first check the WiFi availability for foreign IP adresses.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, clean, great location with a garden in a quiet neighbourhood, breakfast rich and varied, the entire staff extremely helpful. We arrived in the morning after an 11 hours flight and we get our room at 10 a.m. Also, the concierge helped us to book tickets for attractions from chinese sites. The pool was a plus. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Location, service and facilities.

Nice location in it’s own grounds. Close enough to walk into the French concession area. The rooms are very nice, huge bed, well appointed bathroom with a huge bath and Molton Brown toiletries supplied. Some international channels on the TV if you want to watch any. The breakfast buffet is lovely, if a little expensive for China. Staff were very attentive and the concierge can organise trips and visits if you want that. We didn’t need to use this service as we just used Didi cars to move around Shanghai. We booked our own River cruise and Shanghai tower visit using C trip. The photo was the view from our window and you can see Shanghai tower in the distance - the French Concession is in the foreground.

Nothing it was all very nice.

- The hotel is tucked away from the roads and city center, making it quieter and more pleasant, but still convenient to get around anywhere.- The staff were friendly and ready to assist at any time. They were also able to communicate in several languages and help with bookings on apps. - We stayed on the Madam Li floor and the room was pristine and spacious. They also have a private lounge on that floor with drinks and a rest area. - The amenities were also outstanding. We had a late return flight and had complimentary access to their fitness center after checking out so that we could freshen up and rest in a private room.

Nothing, the stay was great!

We really like this hotel. It’s located in a great area with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. The breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety of options—including delicious Chinese specialties we loved, along with many other choices. We also really enjoyed the Chinese restaurant at the hotel. The staff are exceptionally kind and very helpful

Lovely hotel surrounded by a large garden and a leafy, clean neighbourhood. We had fun exploring the safe, clean streets and discovering small boutiques, restaurants, bars. The hotel was in a central location that made it easy to explore Shanghai. We had a comfortable, large room with a lovely view. Staff were excellent and and on the whole spoke good English. Breakfast had lots of choice and we had tasty room service one night.

Our corridor smelled of cigarette smoke one day (but this did not affect our room). Breakfast was busy at peak times, there was a queue to get in (but staff did ensure we were seated comfortably and did not overcrowd tables).

The location is perfect--right at the heart of Shanghai. The property locates in a historical garden, which is very beautiful and rich in history to explore.

Nothing really. If I'm really picky, one thing can be improved is the daily compliment welcome room-service food: at the moment dumpling is the only option. It'd be great if 1-2 more options can be added, such as noodles.

Love the clean, comfortable quiet rooms. The gym is excellent and the spa is great. The surroundings are very tranquil and it feels like a luxury setting. The staff were friendly.

I needed to scan a single document urgently to send via email and the hotel tried to rip me off by charging 200rmb to scan a 10 page document. I find this really irritating as scanning to send via email costs the hotel nothing and they even have a business centre to do things like this. It's not good to exploit guests, especially in a 5 star hotel. I took my document to a nearby hotel and they scanned it for free for me. This reflects really badly on your hotel and it's completely unnecessary for you to try and exploit guests for a simple service which takes seconds and costs you nothing. It’s quite embarrassing and you should seriously rethink charging for this. Another point is you didn't restock the room properly before we checked in and then charged me for missing items from the mini bar I didn't use. A simple mistake which is understandable, although a bit annoying.
