Location, Staff, Bed is super comfy, Spacious room

Location: very close to downtown meantime far enough to maintain cozy and quiet space.

It would’ve been great is breakfast was included and proper closet was in the room.

Room interior looks new. Proximity to eateries, convenient stores and the Nanjing Pedestrian Walk.

The entrance to the hotel by the roadside. Dangerous when alighting from vehicles. Only 1 elevator for all. The staff could hardly speak English.

I loved how it was spacious and so clean. The staff were all very nice. It’s also in the perfect location.

The hotel has a good location and is clean, with drinking water provided. We booked a room for 3 people and received a free upgrade to a room with one king-size bed and one single bed, plus a good view. The location is very convenient, with many good restaurants nearby and just a short walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The staff are helpful, and overall the hotel is recommended.

We arrived at 5pm, but the room was not ready for check-in because the previous guest checked out late at 4pm. As a result, we requested a late check-out for ourselves, although this situation should not happen and late check-out should be offered automatically in such cases.

Location is very good, a few minutes walk form the Nanjing walking street.

For the first night, I was not given the room that I booked. Although I was given refund for the downgrades room and been given the original room back the next day, but it really caused hassle of shifting. The staff gave the reason that my booked room has Airconditioning problem, but later the other staff told me that the room is occupied. This creates a mistrust between the guest and the facility owner.

Location.

Sound proof of the room is very unsatisfactory. You can hear door shut sounds and conversation from other rooms. All day and night.

Clean, modern. Breakfasts are great.

Surroundings, sometimes bad smell from the street

The breakfast spread was sumptuous and the cafe/restaurant's staff are friendly and helpful. This hotel also provide free laundry and the washing machine/dryer is always kept clean. Although the hotel is situated slightly off Nanjing Pedestrian Street but it is only couple of minutes to reach the street.

The breakfast spread was good, and they also provide free supper every day. They made an effort to change some of the dishes every day. The staff we interacted with (from front desk, housekeeping to kitchen staff) were very helpful and friendly. They always have a smile on their face and the kitchen staff even volunteer to help us store our un-finished food in the fridge and heat up for us the next day. The room is very clean, and the hallway always has a nice fragrant smell. There are also umbrella to borrow for free. There is a mini fridge with free drink inside. There are many eating places around the hotel.

The only downside is there is no view in all the 3 rooms we booked. This contradicts to the Facilities listing which include View in the room.

The location was great. Right across from a fresh market stand and delicious food options. The walk to Nanjing was really close.The toilet seat warmer was an unexpected but pleasant surprise.

Location is convenient with eateries and attractions like the Bund within walking distance Staff were friendly and helpful. One of the front desk staff 白简helped me to book tickets to a performance at the Grand Shanghai theater using his phone and I refunded him. Good variety of food at buffet breakfast

They just have 3 of them for entire hotel. The staff doesn't really speak english. They used apps for translation.

Cleanliness

Room size is smaller than said in booking. RMB1000+ is not value for money.

- Staff was extremely kind and doing their best to help despite the language barrier. They were always smiling and very respectful. As someone living in Asia and familiar with the gestures of respect, I really appreciated it. - Has a great location, just few mins walking distance to few of the Shanghai’s most touristic attractions.- Cleaning was top-notch! Thanks to my lovely cleaning lady.- Spacious room for 2 people.- Comfy bed and cozy design- You can get an electric plug from the reception if you do not have it with you.

- I arrived the hotel past 4:30pm and cleaning was still ongoing. I was exhausted after a long day and a very early morning flight, so just got the first room that was cleaned. Even if late check out is allowed, new guests should not have to wait an additional 3-4 hours for room cleaning after check in time.- The room info is misleading. When I booked the hotel, I have requested to be given a room on higher floors and not facing a wall. I understand floor is not guaranteed and am fine with it but it was not clear from the info that the rooms would not have natural light, ie not facing a wall. That’s why I sent a message beforehand and asked for it. The room was basically like a basement with a window lit by a lamp, ie not even facing any form of natural light. The lamp was turned off around 6pm. There was no way to tell the time of the day or weather outside throughout the day. I would cancel my booking if they have responded in a timely manner but they only responded on my 2nd or 3rd day telling me to book a King room if I wanted a “view”. To be clear, I did not want a view, I wanted natural light even if it was very little. Check the photos and you will see what I mean.- Nobody speaks any English. It is fine as long as you don’t need help but you basically can not communicate when you need help. They are doing their bests to use the translation app to help but it did not work in my problem with wifi.- I did not have wifi for 3 days! Hotel did not provide it! The password did not work and since nobody spoke one single word of English, we could not communicate to solve the problem. When I went to the reception on my first night to ask, I was told to go in the morning since we could not communicate. Then when I went in the morning, I was told to go at night. This went on 3 nights and I had access to wifi only on day 3!- WiFi is just very very bad. Even after I had access to it, I could not use it at all.

Really good location, very close to restaurants for locals, not overly touristic area. People’s square and metro easily reachable.

Check in, although booked through booking.com, was a bit troublesome, they did not find it first. The translator tablet at the front desk is not too accurate, communication was not easy, payment method was hard to figure out.

Good location near People’s square station and East nanjing road station able to walk. Near best restaurant and very nice staff.

Very good location. The breakfast was excellent. The room was quite comfortable.

The staff speaks a very little English and tries to compensate with translators devices.
