Anting Villa Hotel

good room service, friendly staff.

Anting Villa is one of the best hotels we have ever visited. We liked the following:- service. High professional, friendly, and solving any of our issues- location.. convenient to see Shanghai, not far from the metro and the French concession sightseeing- room facilities and design of the interior Many thanks to the Manager of the hotel for high-quality service!

This is a very beautiful place with great gardens and a quiet area. Close to shops, restaurants and the metro is about 5 minutes walk.

Excellent location, right in the center of leafy French Concession, close to the metro, with a small park nearby for early risers, and a very convenient Lawson's next door. Room comfortable, calm and quiet. Water and amenities provided. Good breakfast buffet both chinese and western style. The staff was helpful and used to visitors from abroad.

Positive things: The strength of this hotel is it location. Located in a very quiet area, within walking distance to Chinese academy of sciences that I was visiting with many restaurants close by. Rooms ok with good shower.

Internet: slow, difficult to read newspapers, VPN connection drops etc.Gym: limited in size, two treadmills, few free weights, poos air condition in room, only open 9am-9pm.Breakfast: Good selection of chinese food with variation of breakfast dumplings between days, omelettes to order, coffe machine. For western breakfast: more limited selection, small youghurts in fridge with only text in chinese with no info about % fat etc., bacon not the crispy way, but undercooked so fat all remaining, limited selection fresh fruit (melons), limited bread, no variation between days ( stayed 5 days

We do really like the concept of the hotel, love the garden, and staffs are helpful

Almost nothing

Great breakfast, quite location near subway

Staff at reception shall have better skills in English speaking

Staff is relly poor as far as I as foreigner am concerned.

Bed is great. Room size is Ok.

Superb

They still serve breakfast in boxes to take to room with no choices. So strange because life was in normal in Shanghai and other hotels had normal buffet breakfast. Hotel staff english language skills should be improved.

Located in the expat-heavy French Concession, close to the subway. Quiet neighbourhood and a fine hotel building with excellent wifi. Breakfast was Chinese, with some toast and coffee for the rest of us.

The breakfast was excellent as was the location of the hotel. They provided complimentary water which became important on such a hot day.

There were few redeeming qualities of this hotel. It was clean and there are lots of amenities. Location was very close to Line 1 metro.

I arrived at 10 pm and the room was not ready. The maid asked me to wait 20 minutes while she "aired out" the room. The front desk finally exchanged me to another room that ended up being smaller. Overall, the service quality was extremely lacking for the price. I needed to leave early the next morning and the hotel staff was unhelpful in coordinating breakfast to-go. They just told me to "ask the restaurant" who told me no, they cannot accommodate it as it has to be ordered the night before. How hard is it to pack up a boiled egg and some baozis from the buffet? I don't recommend this hotel; you can find better places that are more worth the price.

The location is very strategic, very well connected with the center.

almost nothing, just staffs are very difficult to communicate in English :(

The location is very centric and affordable price

almost nothing
