Breakfast was pretty lame and the water temperature was very inconsistent in the shower.

Excellent location

Amazing price for the convenient location to Nanjing Road. We were easily able to take breaks after some shopping before heading out again. Front desk staff were very helpful when we had questions. The house cleaning staff came by to clean and gave us new water bottles daily. The room was decent size for 2 people and we were easily able to lay out our 3 suitcases. From our window, we were able to see the busy road with the bright city lighting. (The blackout curtains were also very nice to not be woken up by bright morning light.) Just be warned that you will also hear the hustle and bustle from around 8am-11pm.

The room door leading to the rest of hallway is not soundproof at all. The floor we were on was only a small hallway with the rooms and elevator so it felt like loud echo especially with other guests that talk at a yelling volume early in the morning.

Location is good for food places around Nanjing street and viewing the Bund. This location is walkable from two metro stations, which many parts of Shanghai easily accessible.

Rooms are quite small, even by Shanghai standards. The building is starting to show its age in terms of construction and facilities (lifts etc).For example, the lifts were not working during my check-in time. I dropped my bags and went to walk around for 2 hours, but I would prefer not having that inconvenience.

The location is literally at the center of shanghai. A bit old facilities but its okay. Very comfy during our stay.

Good location in Nanjing road and the price is quite decent.Front desk can speak English very well.The room was ready since the early morning.The AC is working wonderfully.The water is strong and easily to adjust the temp.

The housekeeper did not properly clean the room. The floor was always sticky (from all kind of sprays we used), the used towels were left in the room for days, dust were adding up from days that we stayed. The body wash bottle was not changed/refilled. By the end of our last day, there was completely no soap for us to use.They did not put in the extra bed prior of my arrival even though I specifically let them know earlier.The housekeeper accidentally threw away one of my souvenir bottle (an empty water bottle with design on it), so I went down to the front desk to ask about it, after I came back from outside and realized. The front desk guy on the Night Shift told me to check later in the morning since the housekeeper is left already. I do so in the morning, but it seems like they didn’t put my incident on file because I have to told the front desk in the morning shift everything again. And the hotel responsible by going to the convenience store and buy me another bottle, which is nice.But then later on, the housekeeper and probably a Manager came to my room, probably trying to clarify what really happened or arguing I’m not sure since they talking in Chinese. and while the housekeeping cleaning the room that day, she specifically asking about every single trash item in the room, weather she can throw that away or not. She literally digging everything from the trash can.There are about 7-8 steps in front of the building that you have to carry your luggage.

Noisy You can hear everything. Bathroom shower was not all that clean - appeared to be mildew in tiles. Towels were VERY worn.

good location next to the pedestrian mall with many eating places and a short walk to the Bund, and helpful staff.

Location was on the walking street. Many local restaurant, family mart available. Metro line no 2 station East Nanjing street and people square nearby the property. I was given a very spacious room on request with walking street facing door.

The room had very little illumination. Can fix some powerful lights so that we can work on your laptop, Breakfast not available.

The location is great. Just right in the heart of tourist spot (Nanjing Road). Lots of eating places and shopping malls around. The Hop on Hop off bus stops right at the hotel. MRT station is within walking distance which makes traveling easy. The Bund and People's Square is within walking distance. I didn't manage to book the same room during my entire stay so I've to switch room the next day. I was told during check-in that the room will only be available in the afternoon. But the next day, another front desk staff (female) managed to switch my room early. Saves me lots of hassle, don't have to waste my time waiting till afternoon.

The building is quite historic so don't expect much. Room is quite small. Decor and furniture are quite old (but at least it's decently clean). There's no gym, sauna or swimming pool available. The front desk staff (male staff) who assisted with my check in is not very friendly.

The location is perfect.The size of room is comfortable for a family with child.

It is noisy outside.the equipment is old, which is not worth the price.

The room was spacious, comfy beds, incredible location and good value for money!

The service didn’t know much English but around all Shanghai that was the issue so we got used to it pretty quickly

Absolute best budget location in the heart of Nanjing Rd E, high floor hotel, very quiet, a/c perfect, dated decor but not worn out, loads hot water, good lift with swipe security required to access hotel floors, reception is on Flr 7, rooms upwards to Flr18. Take Metro from PVG airport to People’s Square, easy flat walk to hotel Check in is from 2pm, they will securely store your luggage for free until then if rooms are not available earlier

Ideal location if you are in Shanghai for a short time, good bed, friendly and English speaking staff.

The room is worn and needs some repair, the lobby is located on the 7th floor, which is not immediately obvious when you are outside the building.

Nothing, maybe just beds a little hard but it's just a personal issue

We were a group of three and staying at The Seventh Heaven Hotel for 2 nights. We enjoyed our travels in Shanghai.It was an excellence location, a few steps away from the property (Located right in the centre of all attractions).Highly recommended.

So far so good.
