We LOVED this hotel & would stay here again without question. Excellent location on the Bund with great views of the skyline. Huge rooms, incredibly comfortable beds, great bathroom with robes and slippers. Very affordable. Great location for walking along the Bund and exploring.

Beautiful hotel, decor and color very Shanghai yet functional. I had stayed at least 5 luxury hotels in the past in Shanghai. This is the best for tourists. Next to the quite section of the bund next to River cruise, excellent view, close to a top mall with many top rated restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

In the pool, two staffs kept on talking to each other when I want to have a quiet time, very annoying and the language i can not understand
Absolutely fantastic location, we upgraded our room to get a bund view and got a really large room with a perfect view of the bund and of the Pudong area. The rooms are very nice and clean.
The staff was inefficient and almost incapable of doing their job. We asked for a cot for our 2yo and were told that cots were only for newborns. We insisted on having one and after significant resistance they agreed to give us one. It was a completely normal cot that was almost too big for our little one! Waiters at breakfast were absent or distracted. We needed a high chair and after waving at waiters for a good 10 minutes I just had to go and take it myself (asking the waiter busy with his phone to please move to let me take it). Only one person exists to operate the coffee machine, and the person is available only some times, you have to keep an eye for him!

The view from the room looked down onto the Bund, and at night it’s mesmerising….. and this is why I stay at this hotel - spectacular!…. I was in Room ##08 - perfect view.
It’s a little bit out of the high octane energy that exists closer to Nanjing Road….but it is closer to other interesting parts of the city….so not really a negative. But saying that, the view is truly spectacular.
Very good location next to the river. You step out of the hotel and you can walk along river straight away.About 10 minutes walk to Yu Garden and Temple. Amazing views if you like modern city. The hotel has also a bar at 30 floor with great views at night.

Staff are inexperienced and have all sorts of excuses not to work… the facilities are quite old now, first time experiencing a broken door, can’t access with our room key all the time… lot of small gadgets are broken …

This used to be my favourite hotel in Shanghai. The hotel is tired. Needs a refurb. Air conditioning does not work. Toilet did not work. Tap in bathroom loose. Shower pathetic. Reception staff totally unhelpful and non conversant in English.

Black design isn’t my favorite really, but it’s modern and well maintained The super restaurant on top is a goody on top but be careful it’s extremely expensive!!! And I do mean it EXTREMELY!!
