good location

a bit noisy. the reception desk staff are not so welcoming

Tooms are comfortable sound insulated, spacious and the food is great.

Issues with Internet but that is CHina. also they were renovating and there was supension of certain TV services as well smell of glue - not a healthy product

Breakfast for westerners could be better

Breakfast was great ,location is quiet ,you need to take the subway to go everywhere

The worst was de WiFi never work well ,impossible to connect VPM ,instagram etc

Housekeeping service is very nice, did a good job in cleaning and tidying up.

The toilet bowl is in an independent room and there is an distinct unpleasant odour from this room. I think if the exhaust fan inside this room is much stronger, this odour could be avoided.The air conditioning system in my room, no matter how i adjust the temp button, is always at 24.5-25.0 C degrees. It is quite hot and stuffy. Twice during my three nights stay, I have to call the technician to come to my room to solve the problem. They told me that they have to go the adjust the minimum temp setting in the main control panel located in the basement. After they did that, the air con can go to 22 degrees which is so cool and comfortable.

Generally good and when some flights were cancelled the hotel was incredibly flexible. Room was spacious, very clean and had a space-age toilet.

My only slight gripe is that both Jade and Japanese restraurant wouldn't accommodate us at 9:15 on a Friday night depsite not closing until 10pm. Had we known they shut 45mins before advertised closing time we would have made other plans. Breakfast was nice and varied although some of the cooked food like the bacon was getting a little cold by around 9am.

Jane is amazing, so warm and attentive. She helped me with so many things. The room was also very comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again!

Everything at this wonderful Hotel in the heart of Shanghai was perfect and pleasant. Very clean and comfortable. Very polite staff at front desk and reception. Special thanks goes to King Zhou and Michael Feng who had good English and always ready to assist if needed. Will try to stay here in each visit of mine to Shanghai.

The room was big and clean and with a nice view. The facilities, though a bit aging were good.

The hotel should enforce their non-smoking policy better. The room and our entire floor smelled like cigarettes. Also at the breakfast area the coffee machines were dirty with old milk drops that solidified hanging out of the coffee machine. The breakfast area was also not organized well for the amount of people. All in all the hotel feels a bit dated.

Jing'an Intercontinental is ideally located, close to Shanghai Railway Station, two subway stops away from Renguang, and convenient transportation... The hotel is fully equipped, with a gym and a swimming pool. The room is clean and tidy, and the front desk Jane is enthusiastic.

Room was clean, cleaning staff was very nice and also paid attention to details when cleaning the room. Location is great and the view from the room is not too shabby. Lighting and blind control was good.

Staff at check-in asked me for a deposit bond, first try the deposit didn't go thru, he said don't worry about the bond since you've already paid online for the stay. However, when i filled out the laundry form to wash my clothes, they were never returned to me until i made the phone call; on the phone call they said laundry returned my washing to reception instead of my room because i didn't have a bond. However, neither laundry or reception staff contacted me and asked me to pay, I had to wait in my room for my washing to come back as I had no socks left, for over 30 minutes before reception staff arrived with my washing. How can u expect the guest to pay when you don't call or notify the guest and just leaves the clothes at reception? Very poorly handled, did they think that I was going to somehow run away with still days remaining at the hotel? Absolutely ridiculous, I did not feel like I was treated like a proper guest at the hotel due to this incident. Also the tap stream runs very slow when you turn hot water on, not sure what the problem is with the tap but I had to wait for a lot longer than usual to use hot water to wash my face and brush my teeth. Overall, the rooms, views and hotel is nice, but staff and the tap problem won't bring me back. Not how a 5 star hotel staff members should treat their guests. :)

Beautiful lobby, delicious breakfast, staff are amazing especially Mr. King, he recommends us restaurant for dinner, which was perfect and helped us with all our requests while we were at the hotel. Thanks for such a professional and high-quality staff.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Generally speaking, the service was irreproachable.The lobby and the common facilities are stunning.The rooms are spacious, reasonably soundproof and well stocked.Hongqiao airport is accessible within 35 minutes.

The hotel couldn't process the payment with my bank cards (either pro or personal). I checked with my banks, and the problem is with the hotel. I trust I'm not the only foreigner who faced this problem, which is hardly acceptable on the part of an international hotel chain.The rooms are nice and spacious, but a bit backdated. Hard to shave properly with a poor lighting system in the bathroom. The location is a bit far from the heart of Jing'an.

Gym was excellent, room was big but a bit dated. Check out staff excellent and the lifts were good, never had to wait very long. The mini bar had 4 cans it it, ridiculous!

Staff in general were not terribly friendly. Clear door on he toilet cubicle is a complete no no for me. Bed was not very comfortable. I've stayed at several Intercontinental and Crowne Plaza hotels and this was my least favourite.

The rooms are delightfully huge with all the necessary amenities. The staff were all very helpful and assisted me with ordering food to the hotel as I did not have a local phone number. 10/10 would stay here again!

The room was very well appointed.Reception staff very good.Jade restaurant was exceptional.

Room service was terrible and sent 4 slices of white bread as a continental breakfast really appalling.

Great staff and very helpful from concierge to housekeeping and to the restaurant staffs. Large size rooms and only 5 minute walk to Shanghai Metro.
