Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Gubei By IHG

I loved my stay! Staff is very professional and friendly. Breakfast is amazing and cleaning is daily.

It is a little far from attractions, but metro is convenient and easy access to Hongqiao railway station and airport.

The room was very clean and spacious. The welcome platter of snacks and fruit was a pleasant surprise. There was a good variety of Western and Chinese breakfast items along with plenty of fruit. The hotel helped us call a taxi to the airport early in the morning and in general, the staff was very pleasant.

The hotel set the air conditioning at a fixed temperature and I found it a bit hot in the room. Breakfast dishes could have been served hotter. Location is a bit of a walk from the metro station (10 mins or so).

The staff were very friendly and consistently greeted customers. Very good breakfast and convenient location, within walking distance of Subway Line 10.

Everything! Very clean and central to many places. Staff was always very helpful

Friendly staff, decent size room and bathroom, good breakfast, close to food shops and markets and a park

The single elevator to dinning room and laundry room gets crowded during a certain time of the day and regular guests have no access to stairs

Location, very helpful staff, clean room with many charging sockets, clean bathroom, good shower, a simple Chinese breakfast.

No western choices for breakfast.

I have been using Holiday Inn for most of the time when I travel overseas. it has never failed me, including this property. The staff was great, the property is a bit compact, but that didn't worry me and wasn't an issue at all. I am more conserned about the cleanliness of the bathroom and dining hall; in this case, they were exceptional. Location was great, a few local eateries as you come out of the front door. Shuicheng Rd subway about 7 min walk and there is a wee awsome bakery between hotel and subway.

Great location, minutes away from subway line 10Great breakfast Comfy bedProfessional staff

Good value. Nice breakfast. Good air conditioning.

Our room smelled like old cigarette smoke. Staff offered to move us but hallway had same smell. Were quick to add air freshener & it helped.

Nice and clean room, great and helpful staff. Location is awesome, few minutes walk to Shuicheng road metro station line 10. Will definetly come again!

The heated bidet toilet and the hospitability. Front counter is very helpful. Breakfast is goog

Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, tasty breakfast

Good breakfast and a good place to go anywhere in the city, near subway line

I can not use wifi, it's so weak

Breakfast ok, many local restaurants nearby, staff very nice, near MTR, will be back next time

No refrigerator in room

Friendly staff, clean facility, very good breakfast. The room was a bit too warm in early spring and thermostat was not controllable by guest settings. A pleasant stay overall.

Breakfast okay for Western guests! One int. News channel on TV! Wifi! Just some Stations with Metro M10 far from Hongqiao Airport and train and without change to Nanjing Road Esst! Good beer bar in south next to Metro Shuicheng Road!

Its very good located. Has all the stores you nead around. Close to subway, fruit, drinks, my sinagogue. Its modern, clean, has an excellent loundry service. Small place so every worker knows you and understand your needs. Karol speaks English clearly wich is not easy to found in China .

Should have small frigobar and not having window to the street makes feel some close. But it related to the neighborhood wich is city center

Good

1. No bidet.2. There's limited food corner/resto that caters to non-local. There's a small grocery, local resto, bakery and local foods stalls next to the hotel entrance though which is great if you're a visiting local. There's lawson across the street also.3. 1 hour away from the airport (by Didi/Taxi). Too far from the subway if you're carrying a heavy/big luggage. Also, you're baggage is subject for inspection in the subway/train. Inconvenient.4. Far from attractions, but the subway makes up for it.

You get a lot for your money. Nice bed and bedding, high-tech heated toilet, well-functioning stable heating system and wifi, room nicely cleaned, helpful hotel reception where some can speak english, they can get someone english speaking if needed. Very convenient with breakfast included, some western some chinese things.Nice location near Hongqiao airport and train station. A 7-8 minute walk to the metro station - ShuiCheng road - line 10.

I am very satisfied, but there is always room for improvement. As a westerner, I would appreciate a slice of cheese and some kind of bread other than toast for breakfast.Missing toilet brush.A small fridge in the room would make me willing to pay a little more.

Convenience location, short walk from subway station. Have a lot of different styles restaurants near by. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Very clean room with high quality furnitures.
