I like the location. It is in a nice area in Shanghai. Close to lots of nice restaurants and shops.

We checked in at 5 pm and were told that one of our rooms were not ready. This is not acceptable because check in time was 3 pm. They said that the previous guests were still in the room. I would never think that this was an Andaz hospitality.

Great gym and pool(did not use pool) and incredible selection at breakfast. Great location in xintiandi as well

Might be because we didn’t know how to set the ac properly and it was between seasons but room was very humid. Breakfast was expensive but worth the splurge for a special occasion

Staying more than 40 min to chin in

They took from me 2000rmb cash deposit and now after one month till now not back

Very good location and the stuff, trying to help, comfortable bed, very beautiful bathroom, happy hours with snacks and beverages.

Musty smell in the room, after you take a shower, no ventilation in the bathroom, dirty windows, which spoiled the city view.

i like the location, right at the center of central CBDEasy access and lots of places to visit, dine and extremely safe area

I thought overall facilities including room is a bit older than I expected. For the price and location Andaz as a 5 star hotel, i had more expectation than what i have experienced. I would not revisit this property next time.

The hotel is very nicely designed, the staff is professional, the location is good.

Our rooms (we changed 3 of them over the 5 nights we spent in the hotel) were somewhat moldy and dank. Very disappointing for a high class hotel. They should improve their ventilation system....

Check-in was a breeze, The hotel room was also very spacious with complete amenities. The hotel deliver bottled waters to our room in a unique way, using robots!

Beautiful room, amazing bed and wonderful soft sheets, personalised message in the room. Our cold water did not work for some reason in the shower, but it did not spoil shower experience - so I forgot to mention this to the staff. the most beautiful breakfast restaurant and breakfast buffet!

I stayed at Andaz Hotel for approximately 7 days, during which I renewed my booking 3 times. Overall, the experience was excellent and truly worth highlighting.The hotel's location is outstanding—close to key landmarks and offering a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. The service was top-notch, and the staff were exceptionally courteous and professional, which added a warm and welcoming touch throughout my stay.The hotel also offers several outstanding services that made my stay even more comfortable and luxurious.

However, there was one point I wanted to mention regarding the "Happy Hour" service—an evening light meal offered free of charge to hotel guests. Unfortunately, I was not informed about this service during my booking process or when I received my room keys, despite being a guest for over a week and renewing my stay multiple times.I believe it would be helpful if guests were made aware of such services from the beginning so they can take full advantage of them.Secondly, the in-room TV channels lacked variety. There were very limited options, and unfortunately, no foreign movie channels were available, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber.

Convenient location. There was also complimentary happy hour during our stay. The Sales AD, Garvey, approached us during the happy hour and offered us desserts that guests who booked through booking.com will receive. It was simply surprising and the desserts were delicious. The checkout was also a breeze and Erin was such an angel for helping us with our luggage storage and arranged for concierge assistance with loading when our transport came.

Great location, super convenient to travel to and from, nice ambiance. Very attentive staff, room are well cleaned everyday.

Price is on the high side. Furniture needs to be updated, bathroom floor has patches of stains and the water doesn’t drain very well. The exterior window is very dusty and the room is facing a construction site.

Perfect hotel for someone visiting the city for the first time. Safe area, welcoming staff, clean and comfortable hotel that I would happily stay at again

Nothing to fault

We are a group of 7 people and booked 4 rooms. The rooms are kind of dated. It needs a renovation!

The rooms are a bit dark.

Very poor

I don't have a china number so i could not order takeaway. I asked the staff and was directed to ask the concierge. However the concierge couldn't and didn't help me buy takeaway. I stayed in cheaper hotels than Andaz while in shanghai, and they always helped me buy takeaway late at night. I am sorely disappointed and I will not stay in shanghai Andaz again.

I know the hotel and been there few times. Great location and nice hotel to stay.

Some furnitures are getting a bit hold wood and damaged.

Location great, room good, service super (mostly).I also wanted to compliment John, concierge area. He was tremendously helpful to help me track down a delivery, really spent time on it.Lynn was so nice and kind to give me an upgrade!

No lounge access, except for lobby. And “happy hour” selection was poor and limited, repetitive.

Location is fantastic, right next to the restaurant and shopping district. The concierge service from Roy was spectacular. I had to take my bags across the road and he did it without a fuss.
