The QUBE Hotel Shanghai Pudong

Floor to ceiling glass window with a city view. Location next to a shopping mall with a supermarket and many food options.

The hallway had a stale smoke odor. QUBE, if you are looking, don?t let the smoke odor ruin an otherwise perfect hotel!

 the hotel check-in staff was very friendly and professional. The executive room was nice, and breakfast was delicious.

Shuttle wasn't running. Had to pay for taxis. Communication with them very difficult. Would not recommend

The main thing is the Staff. A good staff in my opinion is the key to a perfect stay. From greeting you to cleaning your room. I have stayed here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty!

There was nothing i disliked. The staff always tries to better themselves and with hard efforts comes success!

As always the staff are always professional and attentive of my needs. My home away from home when i am traveling in Shanghai. Thanks again for the outstanding service!

The heating in the room was off the scale with 27 degrees recorded one night. I complained to the front desk on the first night that the room was too hot and they sent up a little lady with a long ladder to open up the small window. The heating controls could not be adjusted. The second night I again complained and was told housekeeping would attend to adjust the heating, when I returned from having dinner this was in the form of a fan being plugged in which had the affect of a large hairdryer blowing out hot air all night. The hotel also advertised a shuttle to the airport and this was not provided and the wifi was rubbish but I guess this is down to the government not the hotel.

Hotel rooms were well used, very difficult to converse with hotel staff as very few understood English had to use a phone translator to get anything understood.

Proximity to Pudong.

Communication on shuttle bus which was always available to Pudong. Now it seems its used for Disney, yet we were informed its no longer available to Pudong since Covid. No additional bed provided as requested and despite knowledge that three guests were staying, were wrongly informed it was only for two at breakfast. No time to prove that as we had to get to Pudong, but demanded payment before we took breakfast, despite them having a 1000RMB deposit. This hotel we used many times in the past due to proximity to Pudong, local facilities and that there was a hotel shuttle. Now it seems to have focussed on the Disney and local leisure facilities for the domestic business, with staff no longer familiar with the needs of international travellers. We wont be staying here in future.

quality of breakfast was poor. compared to other hotels near Shanghai it was basic and not worth the price. The room was run down and poorly decorated. it was big but also very empty. would not stay there again.

Not too far from the airport, rooms are OK, free water in the rooms, clean rooms and bathrooms.

hotel is quite old, personnel at reception speaks rather weak english, not very welcoming in approach. furtniture partly very old and looks very used. overall rather basic hotel which can use some rennovation

Excellent hotel with easy access to the airport. The nearby shopping and dining facilities are also very good.

Location in a short taxi ride to Shanghai Pudong

Breakfast not very good. Although perhaps ok for some but very limited for western tastes and you should bear this in mind when booking

Good location if you have a flight next morning from Pudong airport or just arrived and do not want to move further. Just 15-20min driving by taxi from/to the airport. One hour and about 200RMB taxi trip to Hongqiao train station. Good shopping center with many different and nice Chinese restaurants.

I didn't use this hotel since since covid started in the end of 2019 and now came back with very good memories but was a bit disappointed. Looks as they are not recovered completely after hard covid times. Everything looks not clean enough, dusty, tobacco smell in many places, very pure heating. Feeling like as reception and breakfast areas are not heated at all.

Stay here 5-6 times already….its not far from PVG about 70 rmb for taxi. And has shopping mall around.

There are no more free shuttle bus from hotel to PVG.

Spacious room with iron and yoga mat. Easy ride to pudong airport. A lot of restaurant nearby. Walking distance to metro station.

Good value for money. Although the facilities are not brand new, they function well. Very good location, it's very close to Pudong Airport, and very close to Metro Line 2, so it is well connected to the airport and the city. The is a big shopping mall nearby and there are plenty shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.

The hotel no longer provides free shuttle bus to Pudong Airport. :( I can understand the reason though.

Nothing. It is not a hotel for western people.

I paid for an executive room in the 15th floor. When I checked the room, I noticed the drain of the shower was broken. They changed me from the 15th to the 5th and put me in a room for handicapped people. They tried to charge me the amount as for the executive, and when I complained they reduced my rate in 150RMB.

The location and the value, great hotel, closer to the metro and malls. Thumbs up to the Front Office staff they did an amazing job to accommodate my needs.

That I had to pay for the shuttle to Disney and they were not other timing options available.
