Everything The stuff was friendly

There was cigarette smell in the elevator and the floor they took a deposit, i have been to hotels in many different countries but never asked ti pay for deposit in any of them

A nice hotel next to a small mall, but not close to tourist attractions. However, it's surrounded by many restaurants and grocery stores. If I return to Shanghai, I won't stay at this hotel again because I prefer to stay closer to the Bund......

No bread fast, the room rate was high compared to nearby hotels

This is our second time at Amara Shanghai. My wife was travelling alone and had again an excellent stay. One of her friends was not feeling well, and the concierge Zero Chang took great care of the sick friend. A big thank you also to the security guard Liu Xiuo Long and the housekeeper Li Xue for making my wife feel very comfortable and well taken care of. We look forward to our next stay here!

My family had an excellent stay at Amara. We requested a conjoined room to fit our family, which was no hassle at all. All the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Special shout out to Yana and Evan, from the great breakfast service, and Yang LanZhen as well as the other cleaner on our floor, who did an exceptional job of cleaning our mess and keeping us comfortable.

The room was excellent and highly recommend the suite option for a luxurious stay. All the staff were very accommodating. Absolutely go for club lounge option when booking as it was a great place to relax! Compliments to the chef, the food was excellent all 3 nights we visited. A special mention to Noomi Yang and Una Yang who made each visit to the lounge a very pleasant experience. The concierge was helpful with getting a taxi on checkout and thanks Evan Guan for checking up on our stay

The internet speed was the only annoyance of the stay. It took a long time to load some webpages and the connection seemed to drop out occasionally.

The staff at check-in, Sinnie, and the restaurant staff, Yuna, were truly exceptional. Sinnie kindly brought us coffee while we waited for our taxi and even upgraded my parent’s room when the washlet wasn’t working properly. Yuna went out of her way at breakfast to offer us additional fruit options since my mom doesn’t eat melon. Their thoughtful gestures and attentive service made our stay especially memorable.

The location and the room .

I didn’t like the lobby the breakfast restaurant and the quality and choice of room service food.

Breakfast was excellent and well replenished constantly. The chef Jim Cai was always on hand to make sure that the food has a lot of variety and the taste was constantly maintained. Zero Zhang that works at the concierge was superb helpful with insight guidance on where to visit in Shanghai and always ever ready to greet not just us, but all guests with a smile. Anny at the check in reception area who could speak fluent English was very kind and helpful in helping us to make reservations at restaurants and letting us know where the good shopping locations were. At breakfast every morning, Linda was also helpful in making sure we were well taken care of. Location of the hotel was spot on, literally a short distance to the metro.

It’s convenient, close to the metro, and very clean. One staff in particular, Zero Zhang, was extremely helpful and helped us with our luggage, provided umbrellas and breakfast when needed, gave restaurant recommendations and helped us get a taxi to the airport. He was very detailed and friendly, making our stay much more pleasant.

There were a few instances of other guests making disturbing noises in the early morning.

Concierge Zero very good service. We were upgraded to club lounge which was brilliant.

I liked how the lobby area are practical but the room is absolutely 5 star. They seems to have spent money on the right things. We were met by Zero Zhang as a concierge. He helped us with luggage, making sure we are comfortable before he left the room. he is also instrumental in helping us save money on our transport back to the airport. The manager Annie Fan was efficient and courteous. Her English impeccable. At the breakfast, we had a bit of trouble ordering the noodle. The chef came over and told us that he will fix us his special noodles. The bowl came with specially mixed sauce. It was delicious. He also made us the Shanghai specialty, Fried mantou...we could not stop eating. We also enjoyed the gym area, it was well equipped for a hotel gym and used the swiming pool. Some in our group had a bit of trouble with maintenance matter, (we closed the super heavy door too hard) Yang Xiang 'e fixed it realy quickly. overall we found the hotel staff are very responsive to our requests. I have not even mentioned the location which is close to food and malls.

Shout out to our 15th floor housekeeper. She has done a fantastic job to keep our room clean and neatly organized. We also appreciate for the services that provide from the concierge staff. They received us with a warm and hospitable welcome.

We liked our room and its bathroom, but also the great breakfast and the hotel staff. I want to mention Mr. John Liu, who helped us during all our stay, helped us having a great holiday in China.
