The hotel is in a great comfortable neighborhood

The staff was not cheerful and didn't honor the free breakfast that was supposed to be included in the reservation.

Good location and the pool was really nice.

They were not helpful as a concierge or in general giving information.

What's not to like? Great place in the historic part of the city. Clean, great staff, good restaurant.

One way street in front was a minor inconvenience.

It is well renovated. Location is not bad since we can walk a short distance and get to a park along the Pearl River.

There are not many restaurants nearby.

Great location. Great breakfast was offered, would have liked more choice of bread (Western) eg sourdough or brown instead of just processed white. Gym could have done with some free weights

The hotel is a beautiful historic building, the lobby is also in historic old Guangzhou style. The hotel has gym and laundry facilities for customers to use which is very thoughtful

The toilet has smell from the pipe. I have to always close the bathroom door otherwise the room smells horrible.

The Gym is a joke. There is no equipment . Th swimming pool that they advertised is not open and locked. The hotel is old. They advertised it as a historic hotel. However, there is no historic elements at all. I expect it looks like the He Ping Hotel in Shanghai. But I am disappointed. The window is tiny. There is no view at all out side the window. Overall, I don't like this hotel.

Location very convenient to everywhere. The room is very clean and the staff very good smile.

Due to we are foreigner without china's phone number, we are not able to order food from app, service counter staff at the end also no idea how to settle the problem. Maybe due to security problem, they use indirectly way to reject helping order food at night.

Rooms were great with a good shower and comfortable bed. Good lighting for reading.Breakfast was good. Free laundry was great as was the massage services we tried.

The location was great. It was convenient to the metro and was in a lovely old colonial neighborhood. The rooms and service were also very good. Some of the staff spoke English while others used a translation app. We were happily surprised to find a rooftop pool!

The breakfast food was good but not as good as at some other places we stayed. We also had a bad experience with one dish at the restaurant. While it was peaceful staying in the Colonial District we also missed being more immersed in Chinese street life.

Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby and nice area to look around in. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good with plenty of options.

Lovely spot on the island and we loved the big showers and comfy room set up.

It's hard to understand the room and hotel offerings unless you have WeChat.

We loved this hotel! We had a wonderful view over Quangzhou. The bed was large and comfortable. We could control the AC. There was a fridge and kettle in the room.The staff had enough English and sent up fruit and a knife as well as a plate for no cost.The best thing was the location- easy walking in quiet attractive neighbourhood very accessible to old town.

It was a bit noisy outside our room at times with people talking but only for short periods

Good breakfast, great location, between two strategic metro stations, nice room with large opening windows. 7-Eleven just out of the side entry to the hotel. Plus bonus: Free laundry facilities for the guests on site!! Clean room, very well lit and aired.

This hotel is very good, yet not all the rooms are the same. When we arrived we were allocated a dark, almost windowless room with a strange smell, despite what was explicitly booked. The reception responded professionally to my remark on the matter, and quite quickly found us a room which was more in accordance with what was booked. After this short, but unpleasant opening episode, the whole stay was 10/10.

Double debit incurred.

No transparency on booking web site for the payment. Credit card payment stating that «  i will be debited only ipon arrival ». In fact, one night debbited one week before, 2 nd night paix upon arrival and the day after i left tje hotel i was again charged the full ( 2 nights) amount by the hotel. I am still awaiting an andwer from them. No answer, staff unable to speak English.
