Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou

The restaurants were over priced especially considering it was it China , more expensive than New York or Chicago

Staffs were very helpful. I left behind my phone in the taxi, Ethan searched the surveillance camera, called the Taxi company and got in touch with the driver and helped negotiate with the driver to deliver the phone back to us in the hotel. We were very grateful of their assistance.

The property is very close to the exhibition venue. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The property is on the river side with excellent views.

Location location location… plus excellent staff, as you would expect from Shangri-La hotels. I can mention the reception staff, the concierge Mr. Wu, the staff at the Horizon, and also the staff at the spa!

I really liked my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, offering great comfort and luxury. The location was perfect, close to major attractions and shopping areas. Overall, it offered a relaxing and convenient experience.

I didn’t really like the breakfast at the Shangri-La Hotel. The options were quite limited and didn’t include much international variety. I expected a wider selection to match the hotel’s high standards.

Hotel is excellent but the furniture is a bit old. Breakfast is excellent, western cuisine, eastern cuisine .. for everybody!Dinner is a buffet, worth every penny- beefsteak, rib eye, sushi, lobster ... deserts, fruit ... excellent!there is a Evening Bar where you can enjoy bier, whiskey ... and smoke a cigars ... really enjoining

the fruit in the room added everyday ... as well as enough water

the property was opposite the canton fair this was ideal

The hotel was super busy, they took $4000aud as a deposit for 3 night stay. Staff were rude and not very helpful

location is perfext for tge CIFF fair.Te bell boys and conserge are helpfull and pleasent unlike thereception girls.breafast was good!

1- didnt receive tge amount they blocked on my credit card for guarantree unill this dat!2- No variet of resturantstgat meat european or mefutranian cusines.3- the reception girls dont soeak english welk! I booked 2 dufferent rooms at different rates but they gave us both tge same room!!!! they couldnt explain why.4- I asked to upgrade to enter tge business lounge and tgey denied my request!!!!!

The room was good, the staff was good, the selection of food in the buffet and the Horizon Club was not as good good as at previous Shangri-La Hotels I have stayed in the past, for example Pudong and Futian is Excellent, Hong Kong, Sydney Australia are very good.

Location. Hotel has not been updated since 18 years. It is a shame. Restaurants are lousy and overpriced. Rooms need new beds and pillows and TV. Rooms need coffee creamer, snacks etc.

Scamming taxi drivers are still allowed there. Facility Needs a major clean up. Personell must learn English and TV should have international channels in English and Spanish and Netflix

Food there is horrible at lobby restaurant. Breakfast was good but too expensive.

I can see this was the peak time, maybe because of the canton fair. I am happy with the staff service.

The smell in the room for the first 2 nights was very unpleasant. It was my wedding anniversary and I didn't want to create any trouble. I spent most of my traveling instead of using any other facilities

A bit expensive and crowded and noisy on event day

I got a beautiful room overlooking the river and the bridge. The whole wall toward the view was made of glass. It was impressive.

All hotel crews are very friendly and attentive. Room is spacious and comfortable. (oh, on a side note, the local peanut snacks at the reception is really good - unlimited free serving)

Quite a distance from restaurants or any convenient stores. However, this is acceptable as public transport is convenient in hailing on app.

The location is perfect if you are coming to canton fair. Very clean hotel and also breakfast is very good.

The gym, pool and sauna; upgraded to a suite with views. Restaurant was very nice.
