Location

1) Hotel is extremely dated. 2) Breakfast that comes with the room is for 1 person only even though we booked it as a couples 3) Air condition emitting strange odor. 4)False info about the room's d�cor.

The hotel is in excellent location, which is just around 10 mins away from Beijing pedestrian street and a few parks nearby. also there is a stop for the bus to Baiyun mountain in front of the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, the hotel is too old. It seems like no major renovation for many years and we tried both type of breakfast which don't worth of the money.

The hotel was Brilliant. Especially for the price! For a 4 star hotel everything was perfect. It was much better than we expected. All the staff were friendly and accommodating!

Just a small inconvenience was breakfast. As we are Muslim we eat only Halal - 清真 (Qīngzhēn) food, so we didnt choose to eat breakfast. We plan to return in October, we will most likely look for a hotel which could provide halal food.

Lovely building with excellent decor

Didn’t like being detached from the main part of the hotel, however it’s understandable given the size.

The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful.

Shuttle bus service should be provided to and from the airport.

Some guests were smoking but it’s the same for all hotels in China. They need to enforce a ban on smoking….

Convention location, walking distance to temples as well as major shopping malls. Thoughtful facilities and alot of places to 打卡 in the hotel itself.

Room may be abit cold but water heater temperature is good!

Lovely Pikachu decorations in the room. Provided small snacks each day.Room was large and clean. Beds were comfy. Had a small play area down the corridor from our room which our little one loved.Staff were kind and helpful.

Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

Cafe near reception was expensive for a cappuccino.

The room is spacious for 4 of us. It is one of the biggest room that we have stayed. The room lighting is control by voice which my children loves to use it to control the room. We have our luggage open and still able to walk around the room. Also sound prove is excellent. The room is very clean and modern.

The room does not have heater. However we requested a portable heater that the hotel brought one to our room and we are pleased with the service.

The landscape is excellent. The location is exceptional convenience. The staffs are very nice and helpful.

Room size, facilities, value for money, location.

A hotel of great historical significance and beautiful design. Family room was well equipped with child friendly gadgets, including play area outside. Room size is generious, clean, toiletries supplied. Staff was helpful. Dim sum (alacarte) resturants provides great varieties and value (before 1030) asides to buffet (which might get a little crowded). 15 mins walk Beijing Road. 5 mins to Mcdonald, Subways, Starbucks etc. Buggy services between two blocks.

Staff at all levels were courteous and helpful. Facility and room make up were very good. The hotel setting is elegant traditional Chinese style.

The room is very clean and spacious and the staff are friendly. They provide welcome plate fruits and are generous to provide the bottle of mineral waters.Quite near to Beijing Road, about 20 minutes walk.The restaurant serves traditional dim sum and the porridge is nice.

It is an elegant hotel set in a lovely garden The staff were fabulous especially Sally who looked after me so kindly.

Within 10 to 20 mins drive to most places like Tianhe, Shamian Island etc places we want to go

The hotel team was not responsive despite I sent them multiple emails before my trip. In my 5 days stay I had changed 3 rooms! It was a horrible experience, hotel room was old and not much food options nearby. I stayed at Bihai Lou and morning can hear noise from the traffic and the construction site. The wifi didn't work at all throughout our stay.My advice to the hotel staffs, if the room is not fit to stay pls don't assign to any guest. My booking was for a Bihai King room. First I was given a room on level 4, next to the staff room. I was shocked when I opened the curtain and saw a guy outside my window keeping his clothes (shared balcony)! We stared at each other for a second and I quickly closed my curtain. I felt so insecure hence, I requested to change to another room on the same floor or 3rd floor. The conceaige told me no room available and left level 2 or 1 (never choose lst or 2nd floor). Rooms were very run down.The staff gave me a black face and said all rooms are the same when I requested for a newer room. I had no choice so I picked the room on level 2. I could see molds on the carpet and chairs but at least I felt safer than the 1st room. Never knew my nightmare began. The aircon was not cold throughout the night even though I set 20 degree, weird smell in the room, the tap was not working properly and what horrified me was the toilet system, it was choked and I couldn't flush down the waste, almost overflow the bowl! Guess what, we were blamed for throwing used toilet paper into the toilet that caused the choked (obviously not true, it was because of the low water pressure that couldn't flush down even a small piece of paper) Immediately, I packed my luggage and dashed straight to the conceaige. I was so furious and it was a waste of my time going up and down. Only after the 2 episodes, they gave us a clean, definitely a newer functional room on the 3rd floor. I will never want to stay at this hotel again.
