Good location

The actual room is different from the picture in our booking, noice is loud

Location is great, good breakfast.

- the hotel could be more flexible for earlier checkin. After booking i sent a requesrt for early checkin - but the reply was very prompt "No", meaning it was not even checked. After a long international flight (11.5 hrs, long queue in passport control and long drive from the airport ) what you need is a shower and relax. in many hotels there are such facilities. it means the hotel is built more for local than for foreigners.in addition; the staff ardly speak english, the TV havs no english channel.i plan to be in Guangzhou many times - but will avoid the hotel

Location gr8 to visit the Canton fair. Also lot of dining options nearby. Eric from Concierge was very helpful and it truly a Gem the hotel has.

Airconditioning was sketchy in spite of setting the temp it used to go up and down, also the bathroom amenities are not of 5 star standard and should be improved

Location is very good. The view is fantastic showing the canton tower day & night view wonderful really. Restaurant is just around the corner. Convient stores also… next to igc mall…. During the night you can just have a walk down the hotel and coffee shops is everywhere too… kudos to the staff they don’t speak good English. But they are doing 100% effort to answer all your needs , questions & inquiry. They are very accommodating.

Excellent service and beautiful view. The rooms, gym, and building were modern and clean. There is a bank nearby for cash withdrawals. Note that the check in desk is on the 28th floor.

The location is a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind.

Great staff, Disco the concierge went above and beyond to help us and gave us a great recommonedation on where to eat and where to get a therapeutic massage.

Location

The room had a pungent smell of cigarettes, although I booked a non-smoking room. I found a half-smoked cigar and ash in the wine cooler. The staff simply took a photo and said they would fix it. No one at the front desk or in the lobby speaks English.

For travelers who rely on internet access, this could be frustrating.Overall, the hotel has kind and hospitable staff, but improving English communication support and Wi-Fi would significantly enhance the experience for international guests.Would I stay here again? Maybe—with the expectation that I’d need a translation app and make food arrangements differently!

WiFi didn’t work, room safe didn’t work, little to none English spoken or understood, no English TV channels, cold cooked food at breakfast, poorly trained staff, bar staff virtually none existent. Avoid this hotel. like the plague

We had a room overseeing the river and the canton tower. Beautiful view! The hotel is a perfect place for get away as it offered complementary hi tea from 11 am to 6 pm and supper from 11pm to 2am. There is a great spread of food at Breakfast and many restaurants/food outlets at the TienDa Plaza which is just next to the hotel. We Love this place and wished we had stayed longer.

There is no dedicated concierge staff to help visitors like us to navigate around the city. The front desk staff merely rely on social media to search and provide advice when needed.

Need more english speeking people- need wnglish speeking at check in and check out takes so long-

Communication

The hotel, is actually known as just Elegant Hotel or Mehood Elegant Hotel and is situated in the Tiande Centre, offering stunning views of the Pearl River and Canton Tower. Guests are provided complimentary late-night snacks from 11 PM to 2 AM and afternoon tea from 11 AM to 6 PM. The rooms were equipped with the luxurious Dead Sea Essentials by AHAVA toiletries. A nearby high-end IGC shopping mall and a nearby charming food street with numerous Chinese restaurants provide ample dining and shopping options. We personally enjoyed the delicious Turkish food at the nearby Antalya restaurant. The hotel was kind enough to extend our checkout time to 1:30 PM upon request.

Only a few staff members spoke or understood English. Despite the language challenges, the staff's efforts to communicate, sometimes even using translation apps are commendable.For Canton Fair attendees, the hotel offers only 2 shuttle bus services to and from the fair with prior booking required. In-room amenities, such as the TV and Wi-Fi, were subpar. The TV only had Chinese channels and had frequent signal interruptions, while Wi-Fi connectivity was very bad. To address Wi-Fi issues, the hotel provided a hotspot connection from the TV. Additionally, the elevators often smelled strong food odors, creating an unpleasant experience for guests.

The cost of breakfast which turned out to be a good thing as it encouraged us to go out for breakfast with a fantastic choice within walking distance

Everything was really lovely here. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. We were grateful that they spoke English.I loved the view from the reception area, especially in the evening where we could see the Canton Tower in all its glory.

The customer service was amazing. Special thanks to one of the staff members Vicky who looked after us for this stay. It’s not far from the tourist spot and nearby pubs are just around the corner. iGC shopping mall is just 2 mins away.

Clean, great location, helpful staff, very good view

I liked the room, very clean abd good size, I also like the location, it is close to Canton Fair and is beside the Conrad Hotel which has a great bar. We also discovered a fantastic Turkish restaurant beside the hotel which was so nice we went back every evening after we found it

The thing I didn't like most of all was the Karaoke singing that started every night until 3am. I was confused as to where the noise was coming from seeing as we were on the 39th floor, but the building is only part hotel, the floors above 39 are not rooms so I guess there was something above our floor. The other thing was the lack of a hotel lobby on the ground floor and no bar to relax in at the end of the day. They only have a locked fridge on the 28th floor with a very limited selection, but having the Conrad next door sorted this problem
