Arrivee Hotel

Arrivee is a good option in Guangzhou, which is exactly what my partner and I were looking for. Because the rooms had no windows, we slept extremely well and found that the hotel was very quiet. For someone looking for a budget option at a convenient location (only a 5 minute walk from the metro station), I would recommend it!

The lobby and hallways had a very strong smoky smell. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room wasn't up to standard - I was able to find dirt and hair in the room from the previous resident.

I liked the convenient location, metro station was 10-15 minutes by walk. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably clean. Breakfasts are not served in the hotel, but I did not miss them. There are plenty of places to buy breakfast in the area (seven elevens or little bakeries and dim sum bistros).

My room did not have a window, which is not the most comfortable thing, because of the darkness and the ventilation (there was AC and a ventilator, but the room could get a little too damp). However, it was ok for a short stay like mine. And if you're travelling on a budget, like me, you look past this.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. I do not speak Chinese. They helped me communicate and arrange things with my fiance. One guy even offered to go out and show me how to ride the bus. I was OK with riding the bus, but I really appreciated the gesture.

The bigger rooms are excellent, the superior rooms not that much.

No breakfast at the facility Is very frustrating. There idea for breakfast is a joke.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our work trip to Guangzhou. The hotel is located on a highway (?) so not many shops/eateries around, but location is still good for people going to Canton Fair. Room was clean and compact, enough for short business stay. Complimentary bus to Canton Fair is a bonus.

Staffs dont speak English but we managed to communicate via Google translate and devices.
