InterContinental Guangzhou Exhibition Center By IHG

Our stay at the InterContinental Guangzhou was excellent. One of the staff managers, Lee, took great care of us throughout our visit and was exceptionally helpful. His professionalism and attention made our experience smooth and enjoyable.

Everything during our stay was well organized and up to expectations. The only minor issue was that the sauna temperature felt a bit low for us (around 70–79°C). This was handled by the spa team, not the reception staff, and it didn’t affect our overall impression of the hotel.

There is disgusting fully naked people in the swimming pool change rooms. The hotel management needs to bring strict rules immediately. I was with my child and he had to experience that disgusting moment. There were also other kids at the time. No shame, no moral. The hotel staff absolutely ignored this in a well known international hotel. I was fuming. The hotel manager said that they definitely will be bringing new rules. I hope they do.

The overall hotel is nice, with large spaces, welcoming friendly staff, large rooms and beautiful views. Our was 60 sqm and spacey. Breakfast really good, with a lot of food variety. Its impossible not to find something you like to eat. The bed and pillows of great quality making a sweet sleep. Many thanks to Marta (Roberts or Robins) , speaking great English and Spanish, who was always around reception and lobby area and helping us in any way we needed. Really a great asset for the hotel.

The toiletries in the rooms were missing many times. We had to ask for it almost every day, and usually when refilled by the room made it was provided just 1 set of mini shower gel and shampoo, although we were 2 people in the room. Felt upsetting and cheap especially we paid almost 500 dollars per night (Canton Fair period always prices go high). The lobby is huge but not really cozy so it doesn't invite you to spend time for a drink there. Some plants would help I guess.

Location was great, the welcoming experience from the fair was amazing, made me feel like coming back home. The breakfast was amazing, wide variety of food and great value for money. Mr. Sing from the concierge was amazing!!

The mattress was over used and the room cleaning was poor. The coffee and lobby desk were outrages.

great hotel, exceptional staff i sleep like a baby the matress and pillows were spectacular, was able to work on a comfy desk, the automatic courtines was a plus and the food was amazing.

Couldn’t access internet. Had to get staff to come to my room, he got me on on my laptop by amending my settings but still did not have access on phone & other devices, not great when I need them for my work

I enjoyed everything. We got a free upgrade to the nicest suite I have ever stayed in. The staff and service were nice and professionel. We had everything we could ask for. The view was nice as well. We will for sure book this hotel again when we visit Guangzhou. Thank you for a nice stay

Almost everything was great , staff was friendly even the general manager greeted us and even spoke with us , Marta at reception was very supportive and kind, not too far from the exhibition center

A smart and pleasant hotel, 25 minutes walk from Canton Fair Area A. The rooms were clean, quiet and tranquil, the WiFi was excellent, the staff polite and helpful and the breakfast offered a great choice catering for all tastes.

It was expensive, there was little entertainment at the hotel, no singers etc in the bar and not much around. If you are to be restricted to a area like that and pay the overly inflated prices, then the hotel should offer better entertainment. The food was overly priced as well.

Great location for visiting fairs. Staff is very friendly. Room was always cleaned perfect.

I’ve booked the rates including fees and taxes. However, it was surprising that I had to pay it additional.

Location was a little difficult to find at first however the bteakfast was very good.Loved how the options were different every day

This was a very expensive hotel due to the canton fair. Its proximity to the fair is good but that was about all. Much better off staying at the Four Seasons and catching the bus to the fair each day. Better price and a fair superior hotel.Breakfast here was quite good though.

It was a super average hotel at a very expensive price. Other than the fair there is really not anything to do in this area

I loved the way the staff at the counters really helped with whatever they could assist with. I believe the staff did very well. I appreciated their friendliness as well.

I would have liked a slightly more diverse breakfast option. Perhaps change the buffet options a little bit. For the Fair you stay a while and then the options start to feel limited.

The hotel location, food and amenities in the hotel and the surroundings were on point and thus i would definitely consider booking the hotel again or recommend it to others

Internet connectivity and the lack of diversity in terms of charging points to cater for other types of sockets was a drawback. Additionally the plumbing of the toilet seat needs to be reviewed
