Wanchai 88 Hotel

The room was wonderful, very spacious, very well designed and furnished, extra comfortable.

the Breakfast offering was minimalistic at best, though the coffee was good. I would have liked to see a larger lounging area

Free continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Lobby decor. Convenient location.

Hotel looks like service apartment. Room only cleaned up around 4pm daily. Electrical switch not so handy. Unpleasant odour in room due to plumbing. I would only rate it as 3 stars.

Location - Hotel is well appointed.

Unfriendly reception staff/Unwilling to accommodate guests' request/No late check out possible(only until noon)/Room could be cleaner (air filters, dust under beds) - no extra toilet papers - breakfast is miserable - Will not go back!!!!!!!

1 1/2 blocks from subway & location is a huge plus. Not your typical hotel room. Room spotless, with a high tech feel. Plugs outlets, lights and switches everywhere. Automated draperies, rain shower, fridge and washer/dryer. Comfortable bed. Good views.

Problems with low setting of A/C. Washer/dryer unexpected plus, could not get dryer to work, hung clothes to dry. Was told the "dry only" setting does a full wash first. Huh? Small cup of coffee, very light morning "breakfast", but better than nothing.

Wanchai 88 is 1 block away from the subway (MTR Island line) and in walking distance from a few ferry stations. That gives you easy access to the whole of HK, including the airport - via airport express trains. The neighborhood is a mix of restaurants, bars and local stores which attend the population.

If you wish for a more touristic experience, maybe you should look for something on the other side of Victoria Bay. Wan Chai is a taste of the regular life in HK, though.

Location good, concierge was very helpful. Good price and convenient.

The Bathroom seemed dirty - the floor wasn't very nice, especially in the corners.

The location is great at Wan Zai, especially theres a Welcome Supermarket right opposite the road where you can get your needs easily. And also one of my favorite to go shop for breakfast in the morning is around the corner. McD is also across the street for supper if you need. The speed of the lift is acceptable for me. Staff were great and friendly. Easy access to Wan Zai MTR within walking distance. And its also easy access to hotel from HK Airport with bus A11. However if you need to take bus A11 to HK Airport will require a little walking as you'll need to cross a few main roads, about 12 mins walking distance from Hotel.

Nothing much i didnt like aside from the weird desk that was coated with paint that made it "sticky". I do understand the hotel is trying to go for environment green energy where they exclude room slippers which is ok for me but not others as Ive read reviews about it and brough my own slippers instead. This is the first time ive seen such a mini kettle =D I still can hear some noise outside when others closes the door, but it doesnt affects me much at all. For some might be uncomfortable with the curtain maybe, as i think the glasses arent tinted, so those who are living opposite might see through. Otherwise, im ok... if the room floor is coated with carpet that'll be great, but thats just my preference =D

Location wise, it is close to MTR Station and in the central part of HK. Lot of restaurants nearby.

great location in wanchai - couple of minutes walk from the station and main road trams. safe, clean and comfortable. nothing flashy but perfect for a stay to explore and enjoy hong kong.

The proximity to the convention center. MTR and shops

The bathroom tiles are dirty and only 1 lift working.

The shower area is cramped. But a minor issue unless you are larger body.

Some furniture and facilities are a bit old and broken but not serious.

Bathroom was bigger but very disappointing with the status. Roasted shower, algae in the shower

Location is the best deal for this property. Within short distance from MTR and tram station as well as many eateries around.

The hotel rooms, especially the lower floors looked into the residential block opposite. The opposite neighbours could see what’s going on in the hotel rooms clearly if blinds were not drawn down fully. But by so doing would be as good as without windows.

The location and the size of the room

You have to bring your own toiletries and slippers. Else you can buy in their vending machine. No complimentary drinking water as well.
