YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel (Sham Shui Po)

The price point of the hotel is very competitive. The location is also good which is less than 5 mins from the MTR station. This is more spacious than the compatible hotel at this price range. I like it.

The mattress could be a little softer.

The breakfast was lacking but it was free so I can't complain much.

Good Location. Good size room. Public transportation is close by.

Western breakfast is just so so! Otherwise everything is fine with me.

Location to that area for me was excellent, rooms clean and well sized.

Hard floor, when timber chairs moved upstairs very noisy, should have at least rubber legs. Breakfast was reasonable however I prefer self served style. I was surprised we had to remove the beddings, that put it out of value for money for me.

The location is accessible to sham shui po mrt, about 10 min walk but it takes a while to figure out how to get to mrt.

It is a bit difficult to get to mrt for first timer.

The convenience that is, it doesn't have to follow good afternoon, bowel and you can be 60 for 10 years because we go down so we're making hard to 400 feet in front of me.We're fun to mr.Pants and looking valiation, tara seems do not dump power banking, decovering.In the smart into the greekNo fridge in the room, for the deep summer time really inconvenient

Spacious room with nice view of the small garden.

Living buds were found in bed on the 3rd, 6th and 7th(last) day. No wonder there's a new sign in the room asking residence to keep ac on all time.

It was affordable price to stay

I remember that it used to be very nice accommodation to stay two years ago It was international and clean but since they accept all the hongkong’s middle aged men who have no jobs to stay, It’s been degraded a lot. As soon as you get in the room you can feel that something is wrong with this hostel and 90 percent of people who stay there are young Chinese youths so it is not international anymore.

Location is near authentic street markets with very local vibe, not very touristy which I loved. Near a metro station, and few vegetarian vegan restaurants, which I also loved.The hostel has a unique vibe and history as it was an old popular housing estate, close to another readopted school building turned art centre.

I loved that the hostel was bright and airy. It was a friendly place and there’s even a museum too. It’s a part of history therefore there are locals that visit too which I liked because there was a nice atmosphere. It felt homely and safe.

Excellent location, really close to the subway station and close to a nice viewpoint (A small hill).Great for the price

The location was not the best for exploring around town, seemed very residential. Bed could be more comfortable. I booked it last minute because they had check in at 11am which was great. Private room was spacious. You have to remove your own sheets and bring them downstairs at check out which was annoying.

The location is perfect. The room is big enough, actually bigger than other hostel else where. The rate is also very reasonable, worth the money that we paid .

Not enough common-use dishes, there were three cups available which is not enough.

Convenient location. Easy to get to, transport was 2 minutes of walk depending on your pace. Cleaners were very friendly, polite & efficient.The room had no fridge.

Breakfast food wasn't much option. Coffee was bland. Services were slow, took them 30 minutes to serve 2 egg sandwiches & 2 coffees, the cafe wasn't busy. We stayed in room 421. The shower cubicle was a bit outdated, drains were brown and old. The floor bit of the cubicle looks like it's been redone, a very bad job. Beds were rock hard. Staff weren't efficient but got the jobs done. Slow service. No smoking area. Walls are thin, so you can hear from other rooms. When I booked for this room, I didn't get a choice to choose to have a twin single bedroom or a double bedroom. So with my 16 year old son, it was a nightmare they were gonna put us in a double bedroom. We had to pay extra ££ for changing bed sheets & bed for the 12 nights we stayed. I clearly stated that I am with my 16 year old child when I booked the room. Other than that, the cleaners were very lovely and clean.
