Kowloon Harbourfront Hotel

Proximity to the city was good, but taxis were needed as walking was not an option. The breakfast buffet was good and affordable. The staff was was friendly and accommodating. Good free wifi

The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. The weather was cold in Hong Kong and the room did not have heat only A/C.

It had a free shuttle to and from TST and it is near the harbour.

A lot of things were not up to date in the room. Mainly, some things were not functional. In addition, cleaning service was very sloppy and did not actually do much.

Location was nice, great value with a convenient location. Very walkable to stores and attractions, with a nice view from anywhere on the property. Staff was available 24/7. We didn't ride the Kowloon shuttle bus but it seemed clean and convenient. TV worked well with decent channel selection, and the view both during the day and at night is excellent. Great water pressure even on the 20th floor.

The whole building is a bit tired. It is well staffed but needs an overhaul to be 4* quality. Rooms are clean but very very basic with bland colors and no character. Kitchen and appliances need an update and the couch was looking sad. The lobby was full of suitcases when we arrived and they never moved until we checked out.

It had a kitchen but no appliances or dishes or even cutlery.

The room is big enough for 3 of us. 2 bedrooms: 1 queen 1 master, 1 living, small kitchen with fridge and kitchenware, harbour view. The hotel also has shuttle bus to middle TST every hour. But if you miss the bus you can also walk along the river, across the bridge to hotel, about 1.5km. Hot water and bath tub is great! and there's a shop near by. good for stay!

The air con is old and noisy. there's only 1 cons we've met.

Location was great. Service was great from the staff.

The suites aren’t equipped with dish washing devices. There were only two garbage cans. The counter top was cracked.

Location was good - a bit of a walk to the MTR, but on the promenade. Room size adequate, nice kitchen facilities. Sauna and steam bath clean and hot!

We stayed because of the pool...but it closes at 6pm everyday, and then somewhat stunningly, as I napped poolside on a Saturday at 1pm...the lifeguard kicks the chair and tells me the pool is closed... On a sunny Saturday afternoon??!! Then on Saturday evening, when we are ready to relax...we are told that all food options in the hotel are closed because they have a function...what about the paying guests?

The space and the room layout, the room rate is reasonable, value for money, very satisfied, will surely book the same hotel every time I visit Hong Kong and will not hesitate to recommend it to all my friends or anyone visiting Hong Kong, a big thump up

Nothing that I can think of

First of all, the hotel located in a very nice harbor front area, the view is marvelous, but, the hotel should give us the direction, but unfortunately they didn’t respond my question before I landed. Secondly, the hotel said it’s smoke free, but when we opened the room door, the smell of smoke was so strong, and the room AC wasn’t strong enough, bed is so hard, truly very uncomfortable staying there over one night. Third, the hotel can’t help customers call for Taxi, that’s truly very unpleasant experience for people don’t have local phone service travels.

I liked the location. For families with children is very convenient as it has 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a laundry machine.

This hotel was amazing 20+ years ago for sure but it hasn't been renewed so it is showing its years throughout. Needs major renovation. Pictured on Booking.com are from times when it opened. The gym is too small. Always full of people. Staff could be friendlier, specially in the food area. The worst, and for a hotel, is the quality of the bed. This was the worst bed I have ever experienced. Like solid rock. I cut my stay short as I could sleep. Was that bad. I would rate this as a 3 star hotel. This hotel needs to be renovated.

No drinking machine, no bottled water provided. We tried to boil water and the color looks horrible…

Location is very good.

Completely out date room, bed like a rock, and guests put trash in the hallways so it smells very bad. Kitchen has no kitchenware, water etc. Furniture is very old. Poor value for this high price.

I booked a suite and was automatically upgraded to a better unit upon checkin without asking. The rooms were small to my standard (Hong Kong standard is spaceous) but clean and comfortable. It also had a nice view of the harbour.

Accessing the hotel from Honghom Stadium side was quite a bit of walking through a Mall. That I can only blame the navigation from Google Maps. After reaching the hotel, we found out there was a better way to reach the hotel with less walking. If Google Maps had considered that option. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but my 85 year old father was with me. He handled it with no problem. :-)

Not sure why it's rated as a four star hotel, it was extremely old, the location wasn't really good. The lobby area had a really bad smell. The room was just old and not worth the money. I wouldn't go back there.

Friendly staff, money worth. I definetly will book there again.

The swiming pool was not open but not a big deal.

It was in walking distance to two train stations and a ferry etc. It was in walking distance to local shopping, food and restaurants. The hotel runs a courtesy bus to down town Kowtoon shopping district

Bar was way over priced for drinks etc. The People working behind reception were not overly friendly and slow to serve but when requested something, they followed through.Beds were very uncomfortable and had to request a mattress topper as could not sleep on the hard mattress
