South Pacific Hotel

The location of hotel is good. Although it is a little bit far to MTR (Wanchai or Causebay station. But there is many places for eating around the hotel.

The location is perfect! Very convenient to the trams, subways and all the restaurants surrounding it!We are in the center of Hong Kong with everything nearby. You can pay less you can pay more but youCan't beat this location.

Wonderful, convenient location. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Room was very clean with great amenities.

The mattress was a little hard.

Good location, near fruit market & lots of affordable dining within 2-5 minute walk :-)

Do not understand why taxis & uber cars just pick up & drop off at the corner & do not use the driveway to properly drop off passengers!!!

Outside hotel is the market. So the street is a bit dirty. But location wise, it’s quite accessible.

Great location, minutes walk to MTR and a lot services and food around. Walking distance to star ferry cross the bay.

No USB port in the room. Not convenient to charge phone.

Location and price were great, also high speed WiFi was good for getting work done

It was good value in price, in Hong Kong terms. The hotel room itself was nice, and the location is excellent. The food was good for breakfast.

It seemed like the staff was more used to dealing with Chinese customers, judging by how they interacted with us and signs like 'no spitting' on the garbage. We also found the staff at breakfast to be quite strict.

Rooms. The rooms are small and old facilities.

The location was excellent and the staff were helpful. Especially the cleaning staff. They cleaned the two rooms everyday. Hat's off to the cleaning staff for cleaning and changing sheets and towels everyday.

We were told that we will get the higher levels for the two rooms we booked but got only level 6. Maybe a misunderstanding on our part.

This property is central to everything. It is right in the heart of the Wanchai wet market and also most bus routes traveling to Kowloon side. It is clean and comfortable

There is no breakfast served at this property.

The room size was very comfortable for a single business traveller. Sheets were clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast consists of local favourites like dim sum and porridge with condiments.

The check in experience was not the best I have come across. Staff were not very friendly and had very little English proficiency, maybe due to the fact that I checked in late in the night and they were part timers?

My stay at the South Pacific Hotel was fine, though there were a few quirks worth noting. The room itself was decent, but I found it odd that, despite being a non-smoking room, there were ashtrays and hotel-branded matches provided. It gave mixed signals about the hotel's non-smoking policy.On the positive side, breakfast had a decent selection, and the spacious dining area made for a pleasant experience. The hotel staff were helpful and attentive, which added to the overall experience.

Downside was the lack of bottled water in the room. Instead, there was a water dispenser in the corridor, which was convenient but not as practical as having water readily available in the room.The location felt slightly inconvenient. It required a bit of a walk to reach public buses or the MTR, which could be a drawback for some travelers.

Great location, wifi is working fine.

The first thing we noticed was smell of cigarettes allover the corridors and in the room. Most likely the ventilation is not working properly. The brekfast is poor and coffee is tasteless. Bathroom is quite small.

The room is a good size, spacious for HK. Free WiFi in the room was good. Staff were quick to sort it out when it wasn’t working initially. It’s very close to Causeway bay, so very convenient for shopping and travel.

No major complaints. Maybe a comfier mattress, though that is up to personal preference

It’s in a great location and within Walking distance to wan chai, harbour area, Times Square and the hilltop walk. Staff were friendly.

It felt quite cramped. Bathroom was really small. Nice complimentary toiletries and a Japanese style toilet, but had to towel dry in the room, as it was too small in the shower area. No complimentary water in the room on arrival, so had to go and find a shop to get some. Breakfast, had a good selection of food, but just wasn’t warm enough and we tried breakfast on two mornings and the food was just Luke warm. I also felt that it was very expensive too, at around £17 pp.

a large bed is suitable for a family

There are no heaters in the room, it was terribly cold! We covered ourselves with two blankets and still caught a cold. The wind was blowing from the closed windows, although the temperature outside was acceptable 16 degrees and above, we were very frozen!!! The breakfasts are meager, I wish the staff was more friendly and helpful
